    I just happened on this video clip. This has done more in 10 minutes to promote Columbia positively than anything else. Congratulations and thanks to those of "Turistren" who have restored, maintained and run this enterprise. The engines and trains look lovely and clean and not gaudy. Love the smoke effects arranged for the run past photographers and some sequences that show the black smoke was not common and had to be achieved by driver shutting off steam. I have never considerred ever visiting Columbia (due to bad press and image) but will certainly be looking to put this train journey on my bucket list.

    • @catalinamurillo4372

      Entonces lo que va a tener Bogotá son tres sistemas ferroviarios,,,el antiguo que tambien lo tienen Suiza y Rusia para turismo a 25km/h con papayera a bordo,un salon de comidas parando en cada municipio para mostrar las coloniales estaciones y solo los fines de semana.
      El de carga que transporta cervesa,cemento,hierro,café entre otros que pasa solo 3 dias por semana y el de pasajeros que irá a 80 km/h

    In Colombia, there seems to be a tough contest about who is going to get closest to the old puffers, between the aficionados and the bovines. A little risky, perhaps ...?

    • @KochersbergTV
      @KochersbergTV  6 лет назад

      In case of an accident, you can be sure to get fresh steak for dinner. To be noted, on the first part of the video, the train was running on a disused track, such that no one was really expecting us. So we found on the track not only pedestrians, but also cars, cows and sheeps. With a significant delay at the end of the day.

    I’m not from Columbia so I don’t why the engineer was laying on the whistle so much. I get it it’s for safety precautions but I think people get that there is a train near by.

    • @KochersbergTV
      @KochersbergTV  6 лет назад

      The train was a charter, running on a disused track, such that for the sake of safety, everyone had to be made aware of it. But apparently it is a normal custom of them to use the whistle a lot..
