    The side nuts are captive like that to help push the lower unit away while loosening them if it's seized together.

    Cheaper insurance on those water impellers! Great job checking for that fishing line too. Seal jobs aren't fun but simple after the 2nd or 3rd time around

    get yerself an assortment of prop nuts and weld a loop on so you can lift those lower units with your jib crane. your back will thank you.
