In this episode of Quick Tips for Tonex One, I look at a feature that can be incredibly useful but easily missed. It is the Preset Browsing mode and will come in VERY handy when using our Tonex One pedal when it is not connected to a computer. I am about to purchase one and have been confused about preset switching... As others have suggested, it sucks that they didn't allow for MIDI. I would not be using this in stomp mode, so am I hearing this right, I can basically get two active presets that I can browse back and forth between, each with two scenes (e.g. clean/dirty)?
Hi Kenny, in Dual mode you can go back and forth between two presets/tone models but there are no extra "scenes" per preset. So you basically end up being able to go between the two presets. Hope that helps :-)
@@JasonSadites But could one easily switch to browse mode, choose a different loaded preset, then go back to Dual mode and functionally use the main foot switch to switch been an A/B for that preset? and then if there was a 3rd tone model, go back to Browse mode and choose it? I'm thinking about how I would use this on a gig with no computer.
@@kennyschiff The manual actually says you can stay in Preset Browse mode and switch between 3 different presets. Assuming you've selected the A channel, clicking the footswitch takes you to the B channel. Clicking the footswitch again takes you to the Stomp channel. Clicking again takes you back to the A channel.
@@keithbenedict8764 the preset switching thing feels clunky for my needs... I ended up buying the Tonex pedal instead. I realize that IK is crippling the "One" to not cannabilize sales of the bigger Pedal, but the lack of Midi over USB is short-sighted... A perfect version of the One would be if there was an easy way of cycling through presets with scenes.
