I HAVE MADE DOZENS OF BEAUTIFUL HATS. SOME INTERMIDIATE. SOME ADVANCED. OF ALL I'VE MADE I HAVE TO ADMIT THIS PATTERN AS SIMPLE AS IT IS, IS THE HAT I GET THE MOST COMPLEMENTS ON. IT'S COMFORTABLE, AIRY AND RATHER BOHO LOOKING. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO TEACH THIS WONDERFUL TUTORIAL.
Discover this video years ago and it's my favorite hat to make. You did an excellent job of explaining everything. Thought it was time I said thank you. 😊
This was great. I'm getting dreadlocks in few weeks, and I thought I would love to have a hat for them, I just made one thanks to you. The hat is amazing! Thank you one more time!!!
Making me this hat. Been wanting a slouchy hat. I've only been crocheting for 4 years. And this is really easy. Can't wait to finish it. I'm using black for my rim and Fall Automme color.
Thanks for the upclose and personal! You made understanding the written instructions much easier, esp for a beginner! Just recently quit smoking and this is a wonderful replacement for my fidgety hands. Starting the hat today, will let you know how this beginner makes out!
I am new at crocheting, this has been by far the best tutorial i have seen. Youve done an AMAZING job explaining and talking!!! Thank you so much for that. After last years terrible hat pattern i thought i was done forever, youve given me hope!
One of my favorite hat patterns, made one for me and my husband 2 years ago and it's still holding up strong. Just made one for my daughter. Thank you so much for sharing
Hi, Meladora! Just want to thank you for your free tutorials! I'm a beginner crochet-er and really appreciate your guides! I've now just just finished the second of two of your slouchy hats, the last one being the Riptide. Thanks!!! Love your videos!
Really good tutorial. The rib stitching you made simple to understand and the process as a whole was easy to understand. I don't know why everybody else made it seem so complicated. Thanks!
I love this hat. I made it three times but I started with a chainless foundation instead of chains to give it more stretch. Thank you for all the great patterns.
I just learned to crochet and this was an easy tutorial to follow. I love this hat so much that I just tossed the one I used to always wear that I paid $20 for off to the side. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!!!!!!!!!!
I had 1 and 3/4 skeins of wool in a 12 ply or Aran weight of wool I used it all and a little more. Maybe 130-140 metres of wool? Made a super dense but cool hat. I think the snow boarding nephews will try and steal it. Thank you for this excellent tutorial.
Thank you for your left-handed versions. I am trying to teach my daughter to crochet and well she is left handed, so it has been difficult for both of us. but thanks to you, she can watch her version and I can watch mine. Thank you.
loved your tutorial, it was so easy to follow. I just finished making my niece one. now I'm going to make myself and the homeless shelter some. thanks so much!
My daughter and i are excited to try this. Thank you for a really wonderful video. It is so clear to follow. I have 5 boys and 2 girls...i see many of these hats in my future. Thank you
Thank you so much for putting up this tutorial! :D I just finished my hat and it was my first ever crochet project. Your steps are so easy to follow and you work at a steady pace, so it's easy to keep up with you. Thanks again!
I just made this and I love it so much! I have big ears and a big head I'm 5'11" a tall girl. This covered my ears and my head I had to adjust the pattern to 84 stitches. Thank-you for this video!
Thank you so much! One of my favourite patterns the riptide effect! I used this to make a scarf as well so that one side is smooth against the skin or the neck. LOVE IT!
5th turorial i started for slouchy hat first one i actually finished! great tutorial especially for beginners made one for my son and he loved it, thank you so much.
I LOVE this hat! Thank you for such an easy-to-follow tutorial. I am a beginner and am tired of the same boring stitches lol. This was new, fun, and easy for a beginner! Thanks again!
Thank you for sharing this. I LOVE this pattern! I made one, walked out the door, and my neighbor asked me to make one for him! Was a little tricky for me, first time, because I couldn't get the seam right, but then did it in reverse, because I'm left handed, and it came out awesome! thank you for so generously sharing this! Very easy to follow!
Renee Hilden Wonderful! Did you know I have left handed versions of almost all my videos. Here's the left handed version of the Riptide Slouch hat ruclips.net/video/ZkI36UUe9mc/видео.html
I did see the left handed version, but I learned from my aunt, who was right handed, and I learned to do it in reverse, by just watching it right handed. So , if I tried to watch it left handed, I would go back to making granny circles instead of squares!! haha. Thank you so much! your work is beautiful! I have been crocheting for days now, and haven't done it in years!
I just finished this project and it turned out wonderful ! I know my son's , nephews, and great nephews will love these beanies ! Thank you so much for your tutorials!
Thank you so much for this pattern! I had a lot of fun crocheting this hat. After searching a bit for hats for the homeless, I came across this eye catching thumbnail! Cheers, Analisa ♥️
Making one for a younger girl with long lots of hair I believe they can wrap the hair up in it! One more reason it’s a user friendly hat! I can’t have enough of these! They are always the most compliment ones I own! Thanks again!!
Ananda Zen it won't let me reply to you, so have to comment here. You can do it with HDC if you like, but if it's shorter you may have to add a few more rows to get the slouch that you want.
Your video was extremely easy to follow. My boyfriend loved the hat! Thanks for all your help! Im moving on to the butterfly and moss stitch videos that you have and Im making those as well. Keep up all the good work! You make me excited to crotchet again.
I looooovee ur tutorials ive learned sooo much! Im new to the crochet world and ur step by step videos are awesome! I made one ripe tide slouchy beanie and one slouch benie with butterfly stiches, for my partner and she loved it, they were also from ur tutorials! Thanx and keep bringing those vid tutorials cus i cant get enough! Wish i could sent u pics of the benies though
❤ I love this hat! I hope you never remove this video! I'm on my 3ed and gonna make a 4th. It's a very pretty hat. I wanna do the matching scarf you have for it.
I have made multiples of this hat now and just want to say thank you! Favorite style and super cute. You explain everything well and made it easy to understand!
She is an amazing teacher! The whole process couldn't be any better explained! Only thing with me that the chain 66 was tight on my head, but that was my fault. I should have measured first and added 4 more stitches. I will be doing a second hat this was so much fun!! Thank you!!
wooowww... its so awesome.. i made this one for my oldest son birthday gift.. thank you so much Meladora's Creation for Crochet... its so inspired me 😘
Just want to say a quick 'thanks' for being so explicit with your directions... telling us to use both loops on that 1st row of double crochets (onto the chain) was a good tip.. I may not have seen that otherwise. This is the kind of tutoring that helps us create lovely end projects... thanks, thanks, thanks or as we say here In hawaii..."Mshalo"
Love your tutorials as usual sweetie, and love the hat. Made mine dark blue & cranberry red. The brim is so much simpler than the standard ribbing, and still has a bit of stretch to it. 🌹
Made one of these the other day and it turned out beautifully! I had two less layer for the rim and added two for he beanie part and liked that fit a bit better personally, but all in all, great pattern! Thank you for sharing!!!
Tk u so much. I made this hat and followed you thoughout it came out beauitful. Although my yarn red heart didn't allow it to be sloucy.its still. perfect. tks again. this is my best hat ever. i'll. make it again forsure
I was looking for a hat to make for my husband. I made one and his mom kept commenting on how much she liked it so I made one for her. Both with variegated yarn. A coworker loved it as well so I made one for her with 2 different solids. Then I made one for my sister in law. All within a week and a half. I think this is my new favorite pattern
i really like your video. first time i came across you but you speak clearly and no funky business all straight to the point and no wasting of time. it's great! you have a subscriber here.
I did make it, love it very much but have to re do it because i used a J hook for the body and it came out too big so i'm decreasing in size. I alternated different greens and the base color is gray. Will let you know how it comes out!! :-) Ah! and i used SC for the band and HDC for the body.
I made a lovely slouchy beanie with this beautiful pattern. Thank you so very much! I hard a rocky start in the beginning with the front and back post double crochet, as I have only been crocheting for a month but it is quite easy after a few rows. I love your idea with having a darker colour on the band too, makes the beanie look interesting.
Christina Pereira Thanks! Would love to see a picture of your hat when you're done! You can share it on the Google + Community plus.google.com/u/0/b/108093840082208351489/communities/112067002126046367005
