    Nice Video but i miss SIRT1 and the NFkB signal, SIRT1 has a direct influence on FoxP3. As long as SIRT1 is not stable, FoxP3 cannot work properly, and the trigger for the autoimmune reaction may lie before FoxP3. In addition, FoxP3 does not have to detect mutations but only has instability, so that there is an imbalance in the Treg and T cells. But the video is more Basedow on the T cells, and it is perfect...big thx

    CD4+ T cells become Helper T cells because CD8+ co-receptor is down regulated (1:55). Those with CD8+ co-receptor are found on cytotoxic T cells or natural killer T cells.

    Thank you, Video helped me in clearing confusion, it means that CD25 which is Receptor of IL2, so this CD25 is present over both Treg and CD4 T cell, and so Treg CD25 competes with CD25 of CD4 cell so that IL2 doesn't act on CD4, so CD4 doesn't get activated, Is my thought process right?

    Very interesting! Do you know if there are ways/research to increase Treg cells? Would be great if you could try to boost these to reduce inflammation / improve autoimmune response.

    Thank you for excellent lecture.
    I have one question
    The question appears on test in Korea.
    What is the biomarker of Treg cell and is related to IL-2 receptor?
    1.CD4 2.CD19 3.CD25 4.FoxP3 5.GATA3
    I think there are two answers(both 3&4)
    Can you choose one?

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  2 года назад +1

      Foxp3 is a good marker of Tregs especially if panels of markers were used for their identification. T REG Cells will be CD4(+)CD25(high) Foxp3(+) . CD25 alone is not a very specific marker.
