ITS ALIVE!!! Congratulations Jason! So great to hear and see that tractor run. I know you put a whole lot of hard work into it so it must feel pretty good to finally drive that thing around. Literally looks like it rolled off the showroom floor👍. I was gonna make a joke about you running out of gas, but thought back to my previous video and thought to myself I’m not really in a position to poke fun about break downs🤣😂🤣! Congrats again Jason on a job well done!😀👍
Poke away, buddy! I take it well. And trust me, whenever I find an appropriate time to take a jab about that truck, I Will! Ilve been waiting over 20 years to hear that thing run again. Gas or no gas, i shouldn't have drove it out in that muddy cornfield, but I couldn't help myself
I definitely felt for you with running out of gas! 🤣 not to laugh at your misfortune but that had me rolling! Lol. Figures it would run out in bad weather! Thats a great job Jason! That engine sounds perfect my friend 🙂👍
I guess running out of gas was my punishment for driving a fresh tractor across a muddy cornfield! I'm just happy its running and driving again. I don't remember it ever starting so easy or running that smooth!
That is awesome Jason! Amazing project and restoration man, all that hard work paid off and it looks great!!! Genius idea matching the hose up and cutting it down too. I never thought about that 50/50 mix being basically the same price as non dilutedI’ll never buy the mix again, and basically when you said that realized how much money I’ve been wasting 🤣. Bet the summit crispers are still cheaper than the burndy crimp tool lol. Great video brother! Very happy for ya!
I'm so relieved its together and running! I've been worried ever since I started reassembling it about what could all go wrong. Fortunately, a little carb adjustment is all i needed to do. Now I can get it out of there so I can finish the paint!
Started from video 1 yesterday and watched them all last night and this morning just finished with this one. That tractor looks dang good! You’ve done a lot of great work restoring that old machine. Looks factory new. I can’t wait to see it with the hood on and all the decals on. My grandpa had an old WD at his cabin that I remember from when I was young. I love old Allis Chalmers.
Thanks! I ran out of paint so there is a delay in finishing up this series. At least its running and driving again. I should have the final video on this one next week. I'm glad you liked the build, its been a fun project
Man I been here since day one and let me tell you, you did a awesome job jason... your grampa would be proud my friend , and mine would be jealous !!!!!!! I love it when someone takes pride into what they do, no matter if it’s a racecar or a allis tractor 🚜, awesome awesome awesome 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👍✌️😎
Thanks Herb! I really appreciate your comments and encouragement. Its all played a huge part in me getting this thing done. Probably one more video, and I'll be looking for another project. I would like to find an old car or truck, but its been tough hunting lately
@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 I wanna say thanks to you also, it’s people like you that really makes this all worth it, and hope you find a kool project for your next endeavor my friend, 👊🏼👍🤙🏻✌️
Great job. If things work out right, I will be restoring my grandpa's WD45 in the near future, so your videos will be a big help along with a few others on RUclips.
@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 I understand where you are coming from with regards to coolant. However, i do think that the 50/50 mix is best. There are specific water requirements that help prevent corrosion and other issues in the cooling system. I never really thought this was an issue until I saw it first hand as an industrial engine representative. I only use 50/50 mix. Just some food for thought.....
I'm glad you like the video! I thought I would include the running out of gas part, too many people edit their videos to make it appear everything works out perfectly. We all know that is seldom true!
Congrats! Looks and sounds awesome! I also have a question, on the WD, what kind of power steering line would you suggest? I got mine running but the line burst after about 2 minutes of driving it around.
Awesome, great job. I got my '53 WD started the other day with a new carb but the radiator leaks and the hydro pump leaks :(, just more things for me to get fixed. I can take the radiator to a shop but i'm going to try to fix the pump myself, wish me luck.
@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 i'm sure it was costly but, now you have a new tractor. The wd 45 can do alot of work. You did really a great job bringing it back. Looks awesome
I'm about to try and get one of these running again. It's a beautiful tractor
She purrs like a kitten, love that sound of that engine!!
It does! I don't remember it ever starting that well

One of the best sounds ever. Brings back some of the best memories.
Its been over 20 years since I've heard that tractor run! I cant describe the feeling of having it running and driving again!
she lives!! great work man! get her buttoned up time to go to work!
Its so close! Don't have a blade for it anymore, so i will probably have it done in time to put it in the machine shed for the winter
Isn't it a great feeling when it all works out.... Thats a good looking tractor. Keep smiling.
You better believe it Darren, its been 20 plus years since ive heard that tractor run! It didn't sound near that good either
Excellent series. This turned out awesome!
Thanks Eric! Its been a fun project. Probably one more video, then on to something else
You did a great job! Thanks for the videos.
Very good job! Watched from the beginning.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Man, what a nice restoration. I'll bet that Allis didn't look that fresh when it first came off the assembly line.
I'm sure it didn't. I found place that never even had paint from the factory.

Great video man

Great video and awesome looking WD, I got a good laugh. Really like something I would do getting excited and running out of vas

NICE....YOU GOT IT.
G'day great job and video mate.
G'day to you too! Thanks for all your comments
Congratulations. If running out of gas is the only error I'd call that a success. Good job.
Thanks! The gas was pretty minor, i can live with that stumble
Nice tractor.
your the man!
nice job, I just purchased a WD 45 here in ontario canada it in great condition . i will restore it to new condition . Thanks your the man!
Congrats! Looks and sounds awesome! I also have a question, on the WD, what kind of power steering line would you suggest? I got mine running but the line burst after about 2 minutes of driving it around.
Thanks! I wouldn't know on the power steering, mine don't have it. I would guess you could take the line to any NAPA store and they could make you one
Super!
Thanks!

As long as its not too worn, it should be easy to reseal
@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 That's what i'm hoping for. This is going to be my winter project. :)
Mine was too, then a summer project, and now almost winter again!
@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 Yep, that sounds like how my projects go. Always a work in "slow progress" lol.
What u think y the front wheel wobble when running the tractor on the road
..When you put the governor back on how did you get it timed to the cam shaft?
There are timing marks from the crank gear to the cam gear. The governor does not matter timing wise.
Nice sounds perfect to me .
Time to filler up
Tractor looks great..
Nice job i grew up on a wd 45..
My dad had one for many years..
You selling..?
No, this one has sentimental value. Plus, I have about 3 times more than its worth into it.

Shoot, you restored the shit out of that tractor. It's better than new!
Thanks! Its far from perfect, but definitely better than new
That manifold definitely is not the factory manifold...buy Steiner tractor had a stainless steel muffler and rain cap I'm going to put on mine
Thats what I'm thinking. I'm going to leave it as is for now though. I've already went way over budget
@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 Im 8 grand deep into my tractor myself
Excuse my stupidity I came in late. Did you install electronic ignition? If so I thought the coil was eliminated with electronic ignition?
Electronic ignition eliminates points and condenser You Always need a coil
@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 see I told you I was being stupid. Thanks for your time. Did you add power steering?
No, other than upgraded electric, it's mostly original
