I had seen Alexandra (14) in ads for Joe Fresh here in Canada a few years ago - was random and nice to see that all those years later she was still a working model.
I have been a subscriber to her channel a while, coz her energy is amazing. Didn’t realise it was her from ANTM until she uploaded a video. She was my fav on the show 💕
She does. She has a health condition and the medication has changed her appearance a little bit. She talks about that on her channel. She is so gorgeous inside and out no matter what
It happened as soon as she started her medication, which her doctor's warned her that she would look different. Im just happy she is feeling better especially cuz she was sick for a while and she didn't get any answers
Growing up I thought the Hapa shoot was amazing. I’m from another country that wasn’t really up to date with race conversation at least not in the younger teen generations like I was. I love transformation and art and being something you’re not. That shows you that actions by themselves are not racist, it’s the historical social context that makes issues of things. Knowing what I know now I can see how it’s problematic. With that being said, I can also understand what Tyra meant when she said she didn’t put her models in blackface. We have to remember that blackface wasn’t just about darkening white people’s skin. It was also about painting their face in a racially stereotypical fashion, degrading, infantilizing and diminishing black people WHILE also darkening their skin. Tyra did none of that. The photoshoot was about representing these ethnicities in a beautiful photo. And I think there’s a difference. But in the present day it would be very naive to try and do something like that.

i find it ironic, hypocritical , and shameful that people especially with no profile pictures whatsoever have the most to say about her appearance and looks. it’s speaks VOLUMES on their characters and shows how ugly they are on the inside. she seems happy , at peace , and she’s doing very well so let’s not bring her down with rude comments and remarks about her looks because we ALL know we wouldn’t want that done to us so why do it others?
I think Courtney was eliminated that week just cause the week after they had to do a runway challenge and she wasnt able to walk it with a broken leg so... Yeah its was kind of weird, she had a cool personality and she looked like a working model.

Some short girls look taller, like if you’re long-waisted, or have kind of a short neck, no. But if you have broad shoulders, good neck, and long legs, you look better at ANY height (or weight!). Surprised they rarely mention this.

Probably the best JaysChat episode that we’ve seen. So much good tea was spilt when I initially thought there may not have been a whole lot with this season and Sundai was great as co-host. She really has a sweet and endearing personality. You should try to get Alasia for the next JaysChat. I think she’d be fun and she may have a lot to say on the drama. I doubt Angelea would come on. And I totally agree that Annaliese needs to co-host the JaysChat for Cycle 18.
I was SO excited when Paula came onto the show, and so bummed when she left. To me, she was THE supermodel, and her contribution to the show was fantastic.

The shoot where they changed their ethnicities was done with respect and creativity and no malice, I think everybody looked strong and beautiful and it could have easily been portrayed as women identifying with each other and how we are all more closely related than we realise. Obviously the victim and offence brigade ran with it for offence points, but it was beautiful. Beautiful also to see women embody other strong women.
I have been trying to watch the Jay’s chats for I watched every episode of ANTM, however these are quite long videos and I find myself not remembering most of what they are talking about, (seeing how its been a while for the show to have aired) I wish that there was some way that he would include a video snippet or two from the episodes he is chatting about. I find myself fast forwarding or just stopping the video.

When it came to the biracial photo shoot, I liked the fact that in life our cultures unite and ultimately i saw it as our human culture uniting in some way and the photos came out cute
i honestly thought that was such a stupid concept. especially since the wardrobe wasn’t authentic or reminiscent of the cultures they were supposed to represent. just poor execution and a lot of stereotyping
I was stalking her before I knew she was going to come on Jays Chat because I rewatched her season 3 weeks ago......she is stunning; yes, too much cheek filler (edited: so the comments make sense - I didn’t know she had an illness which caused some facial plumpness), but baby girl is beautiful and I'm living for her new image. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL thing is, she is still the same quirky, charismatic, warm and vibrant Sundai which is all that ever matters. Also, I missed Paulina as a judge, and yes we ALLLL know the tea with her and what she said post-firing, but I loved the fill-in guest judges who came in to be part of the experience who were also on the smaller or more petite side but forces in the fashion and entertainment industries. Nicole hands down deserved her win. I definitely missed the dream team on set - the vibe was definitely different, and you start to notice Mr. Jay's demeanor and tone on set and even before challenges or when meeting with the girls start to gradually change every cycle after C12 before he concludes his tenure on the show......but it is what it is and he went on to maintain his success and so did the dream team, especially Sutan. The girls who said the ish they said in confessionals......baby, that's all you, producers can't force you to say anything. Young, immature, insecure or not, you fell into that trap. Some of them were just plain mean and catty and had terrible attitudes throughout the entire ANTM series. I'm rewatching C19.....and KRISTIN!!!! OH MY WORD. Ps. SOMETIMES I want to look at that damn film myself and wish I could've picked the best photo out of Mr. Jay's choices. PSSSS. Yes, Tyra was outvoted in Cycle 16 with Brittani....she wanted her to go home and the other THREE judges att did not think she should yet. Choice was right because Brittani K won. PSSSSSSSS. I am living for the tea that is being spilled about production and the BTS structure and secrets of the show. Now rewatching, it is so fascinating to see all of the things I missed as a youngin' - ESPECIALLY how the final runway and eliminations work.

They did push those vibes and kept finessing that characterization.
Thank you, a lot of these women were literally just misunderstood but the show editors and then fans forced the labels on them. Notice how in Cycle 3, Eva and Yaya were perceived as ‘bitches’ yet Amanda was the one who told everyone about Cassie’s eating disorders and wrongfully accused Eva of stealing from several times. I’m really irritated that Jay and whoever that story editor in the chat was refused to acknowledge it.
Kenya N I thought she obviously had some emotional shit she was working through. I remember her not being able to stop scowling in her facials and how she wouldn’t hug Natasha. They all mistreated Natasha but Dionne was definitely that vibe of abw in my opinion. At least she was marketed and edited that way
I guess the common theme of whether or not the show hurts or helps girls is generally it helps the girls who want to be in commercial entertainment, and it hinders the girls that want to be in high fashion
The photo that sent Sundai home was not the worse photo that week. Erin's photo was the worst and Laura's photo wasn't great either but they loved both of those girls so much.

I definitely missed the dream team on set - the vibe was definitely different, and you start to notice Mr. Jay's demeanor and tone on set and even before challenges or when meeting with the girls start to gradually change every cycle after C12 before he concludes his tenure on the show......but it is what it is and he went on to maintain his success and so did the dream team, especially Sutan.
The girls who said the ish they said in confessionals......baby, that's all you, producers can't force you to say anything. Young, immature, insecure or not, you fell into that trap. Some of them were just plain mean and catty and had terrible attitudes throughout the entire ANTM series. I'm rewatching C19.....and KRISTIN!!!! OH MY WORD.
Ps. SOMETIMES I want to look at that damn film myself and wish I could've picked the best photo out of Mr. Jay's choices.
PSSSS. Yes, Tyra was outvoted in Cycle 16 with Brittani....she wanted her to go home and the other THREE judges att did not think she should yet. Choice was right because Brittani K won.
PSSSSSSSS. I am living for the tea that is being spilled about production and the BTS structure and secrets of the show. Now rewatching, it is so fascinating to see all of the things I missed as a youngin' - ESPECIALLY how the final runway and eliminations work.
I subscribe to her channel. She actually has stated in more than five videos that she was recently diagnosed with an illness causing her face to become fuller and added weight gain. Although she is dealing with this, she is always in high spirits in her videos.

Thank you, a lot of these women were literally just misunderstood but the show editors and then fans forced the labels on them. Notice how in Cycle 3, Eva and Yaya were perceived as ‘bitches’ yet Amanda was the one who told everyone about Cassie’s eating disorders and wrongfully accused Eva of stealing from several times. I’m really irritated that Jay and whoever that story editor in the chat was refused to acknowledge it.
I think a lot of this is open to interpretation. Cuz I never thought of some of those girls (that you listed) as abw. But thats me.
I always thought Yoanna was WAY too fixated on Camille and instigated most all of what happened between them.
Kenya N I thought she obviously had some emotional shit she was working through. I remember her not being able to stop scowling in her facials and how she wouldn’t hug Natasha. They all mistreated Natasha but Dionne was definitely that vibe of abw in my opinion. At least she was marketed and edited that way

I guess the common theme of whether or not the show hurts or helps girls is generally it helps the girls who want to be in commercial entertainment, and it hinders the girls that want to be in high fashion
The photo that sent Sundai home was not the worse photo that week. Erin's photo was the worst and Laura's photo wasn't great either but they loved both of those girls so much.
Erin got WAY too many chances. She actually holds the record for most consecutive bottom appearances before being eliminated at four.

ERIN AND RAE WAS both stunning Sundai face was strong on ANTM. Cycle 13 had some of the strongest face better than cycle 12 and 14
