Not sure if anyone's said this already in the comments but Nigel has said several times that the model's best photos weren't always chosen. When he did the photoshoots, he would mark their best photos and he asked Tyra why they hadn't been used. So yeah, totally planned out who they want to go home and pick a crappy photo of them. I also want Sundai and Jessica to react to that entire season. I love this so much!
The thing is, i wouldn't mind if they were open with the models about it, that it's a show, and that is why AND, they weren't so toxic and mean. This and the german version is just the most toxic shows ever. Especially calling some plus size when they CLEARLY aren't?? Like wth

Idk what cycle/episode it was l, but the girls were posing in ice cold water and one girl almost went into hypothermia. I thought that was so crazy and extreme even back then.

This is easily the best reaction on your channel so far! Sundai added so much to this. I can’t believe i would laugh that much at a Jessica Kobeissi video on an ANTM video reaction. I felt more positivity because of Sundai, she’s such a breath of fresh air! Hi Sundai, thank you for coming and collaborating with Jess! You grew to be such a beautiful woman!
A good example of what happens when you respond to the "critiques" with more than just a nod and thank you is Yaya. When she would question the critiques or try to explain herself she got labeled as "argumentative" and unwilling to change. The fact that her responses may have been valid meant nothing, you had to just agree or you were labeled as a trouble maker, they may keep you longer (for good TV) but you won't win.
The petite cycle was a great cycle. It was so budget, but the models were so good and made the cycle awesomer than it really deserved to be based on its weird concept.
The judges saying Sundai dressed too much.. then I see the outfit and it was THE style back then?! That's exactly how I wanted to dress! I think when I could I wore an outfit exactly like that WITH a fedora! I also had these amazing cheetah print bootie heels that I ADORED and always big gold hoop earrings too. Not to mention I always had on some large belt and fingerless gloves. It was a different time XD Honestly still think of that style fondly.

it's not the first time I hear they get in trouble with airport authorities. idk if you've seen the whole scandal that they got detained in Japan because they didn't know how to properly fill in the declaration form. They assumed they were there to work illegally as escorts (if I'm not mistaken).

She is so cute, beautiful, funny and good natured ❤ I remember her sharing a difficult backstory, and I was fired up for her to win. People just have an innaccurate perception of what 30s look like in women. Most of the high school shows cast women in their late 20s to early 30s. This in turn makes high schoolers perceived as older and then 30 year olds are expected to look 50. From age 25 to 30 there isnt that much physical change. The changes slowly happen in the late 30s to early 40s in healthy individuals. Every time you watch shows in High Schools, remember that the actors are not actually 18. Theyre 30 and still pass as that age. It just isnt very old
You just know they chose that photo of Laura because it was a great photo of her, and didn't care at all about the other 2 models in the photos. Had they both been mid-falling off the platform, they would have STILL chosen that photo

I have to say the models did a really good job considering they had to maneuver around the cirque de solei performers. They were balancing on the poles, moving around the platform. I felt the models didn’t have any room to pose to the best of their ability.
Sundai said that they had people in there telling them their schedule and helping them wake up, so how come on one episode on another season, a girl missed the first part of the photo shoot because she slept in/missed her alarm??
I remember always liking Jennifer's photos! So wild looking back now and seeing how orchestrated the judging was (vs when I was 11 years old watching this show for the first time)
It was interesting/neat to listen to what Sundai said about being on ANTM.🥰 Seasons that Jessica should consider reacting to: Boys Vs Girls, College Edition (season), & more episodes from the season w/ all the British girls participating in ANTM. 24:42 your reactions🎉 followed Sundai here haha you see, when Jay was giving the feedback to the models, he was simply art directing and doing his job to make the best photo in that 10-15 min window; it can sound harsher sometimes because of the time pressure, but I listened again after your comments and I think some of it is for the show, but most of the feedback was actually intended to help make the best photo. when you see the final photos, usually you will understand the feedback he was giving! I watched the show before I worked in the industry for 15 years; I’ve worked with some amazing art directors, but also…many who were not great at communicating. It’s fun to review this show years later for many reasons; the creativity of all the artists working in the industry, working as a team, and all the challenging parts of the industry 😅😅😅 lovely genuine reactions. Edit: Also…! The judges comments, they look,through the entire film so they sound harsh sometimes. Usually if the film turns out bad in our industry, the actual comment is “we can’t use any of these shots.” But mostly we don’t get to or have to hear this😅

I don't believe they thought it was an excuse. They were manipulating the contestants and putting them in compromised positions throughout the show.

It’s a modeling show! Models are tall. So 5’6” is absolutely short for a model.
