The haunting synths from Lawrence, sounding as if they were coming from the grave... with his meticulous, minimalistic and clicky programming... I can't get enough of it. It's mind-blowing. If you, fans of Martin L. Gore and Depeche Mode, liked this remix, have a listen to everything Lawrence released in the 2000s, particularly the album "The Absence Of Blight". Martin L. Gore used "Winter Green" from this album on one of Depeche Mode tours for the pre-show playlist.
Ich bin ja der Meinung das man Songs von Martin Gore und Depeche Mode nicht remixen darf, aber Peter hat mir gezeigt das es Ausnahmen geben darf !!!!!!!!!!!! Ganz feines Ding ! Respekt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most songs get destroyed when you try to translate them, this is beautiful in german and english!!! Die meisten Songs zerstört werden, wenn Sie versuchen, sie zu übersetzen, das ist schön in Deutsch und Englisch!
True, he is from Basildon UK. He did however live in Berlin for an extended period of time back in the 80's. He even had a German girlfriend from 84-87! He speaks fluent German which he learned on a farm in UK during his school years. He has said then he thought it was the most boring language but he liked to milk the cows! ;-)
dear germanboyssZZZzZZz, I do not know anything of German music, but I do love your country and culture and I wish I could write better in German to talk to you. Anyway, I hope you will see any of their concert in this tour, I did it two weeks ago and it was WONDERFUL! ciao!
"The Song of the Lonely Girl" is a song by the German composer Werner Richard Heymann after a text by Robert Gilbert from the year 1952. Nico´s version is also a cover.
Just back from Hamburg via Berlin to London. Depressed at not being able to learn enough German to have a full conversation. Berlin is a magnificent city. Is Berlin fashion week always in July?
The German language is a beautiful and romantic language. Perhaps it is not in your taste, but keep your comments friendly, if you please, so as not to offend others. Thank you.
I am german. I dont mind others flaming Germany. There are definately several reasons to do so. Martin Gore is not german. You miss the point. Open some political thread for a chance on hitting some point maybe. Or, more easy, just stfu and troll on to some other band/singer/song.

I think it's important to know that this beautiful text and song belong to Nico as I see no one here mentions it.
So right, original is by Nico. Hope new fans do care to research the songs. Probably most don`t.

Definetly German language was not meant for music, but I would love ANYTHING sang from Martin Gore, even in Aramaic. Ciao!

blabla... do you know the difference between a cover and a remix? anyway, this version in particular isn't clean and icecold at all!
Not at all.
