Hi Tere, this is not currently possible in workspaces. This is more just a space or folder itself to pull in common documents from lots of different places. It’s limited to only 25 files and no folders. - Fintan Murphy
This is an excellent video. I am just discovering both of these features. I did not understand Workspaces at all, and I kind of understood Shortcuts, which I just discovered, but it's fairly intuitive. My question was - what is the difference between them, and how would I choose one or the other. You covered the relevant points beautifully. I really like the way you explain things. You have a knack for including just the right amount of info - not too much, but also not too little. Kudos and thanks. I'll be back.
Hi Steve, Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback! The difference between workspaces and shortcuts is simple - with workspaces, only you can see them. They cannot be shared with anyone else they are just a shortcut for you personally for your most used files. Shortcuts on the other hand, are shortcut links to documents that can be shared with others, for example - if I make an accounting folder and I want to include a short cut to the marketing budget which lives in a marketing folder, I can do that, and everyone who has access to that folder has access to the shortcut. I hope that helps!
Hey Al, we did one on the Google drive file steam tool for businesses. It’s a few years old so some of the gotchas don’t apply now but it’s a good overview ruclips.net/video/abIBlptCuwM/видео.html
I'm a little lost because my Google Drive looks like yours except on the left hand menu there is no Priority and in the main window there's no Workspaces either. I'm still working on figuring this out because both seem valuable!
Hey Lori, Thanks for your comment. If you are using an @gmail.com account then you will not have access to these features. They are Google Workspace features. They are for business customers only. - Fintan
Sorry to disappoint Lori. Sometimes google release some of them to consumer gmail accounts but I wouldn’t hold out hope for these ones any time soon. - Fintan
We hope these tips help you to get your Google Drive organised in a way that suits you! Let us know what you think below! Fintan
I love it when it's all organized. Greatings from Germany.
Us too Noah! Greetings from Ireland 😃
Great Video! What about creating folders or adding folders in a workspace? I am not able to do so.

@@Damsoncloud It's very kind of you to give me that individual reply. I had understood all that (and more) from your video. Again, thanks.
Great vid mate, short and to the point and good visuals for following along.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Hi, How do I move up files in my Workspace so I can have them in the order I want? thanks
Have you done any videos on the Google drive desktop app?

Does not work, there is no "Create Workspace" or Priority option.
