I always remember that moment where the Barney is turned away from you talking with someone in the distance, and you think "finally, an ally" but getting closer you see he's talking to a zombie. What's going on? He turns around and you see his bloodied face up close and realize your mistake.

Pro Tip for anyone playing anything Half-Life related: Do not hold spacebar when ascending in water. It's much faster to hold what ever you have bound to moving forward and looking upward. Trust me on this.

Seeing this takes me back! Can’t remember if it was 1999 or 2000. Easily one of my favourite half life mods of all time. The atmosphere is so creepy. Especially at the beginning of the game. Thanks for the upload!

They Hunger is the grandfather of Half-Life mods and it still manages to scare people to this day. like take one look at the comment section, you'll see people typing about the moment a barney talking to a zombie turns around just to reveal he's also a zombie, the moment where a police officer is calling out to her now zombified/deceased colleagues through a radio. it's perfect, everything, down to the last-
One of the best HL1 Mods out there. Shame the sequel was canceled, and the remake was horrible...
Anyway... Anyone thinks that the Sherriff might be a Confederate or something? He does speak southerner which makes it badass and shit. Even at the end when you face him, he calls you "Yankee" with the SOB word. Either way this mod is the best.

Accidentally stumbled on this in Sven Co op alone, a server i used to play that was just all the Half Life expansion packs spawned me in this with no choice of selecting a different game. Honestly?? super effective.
Damn this mod is awesome, it is like an old zombie classic movie like, from Lucio Fulci or John Romero. Would love to play it these days!!!

There are two types of games:
- 1: Weapons function just the same in water as they do in air.
- 2: DISABLES WEAPON ENTIRELY WHILE UNDERWATER AND WON'T EVEN LET YOU PULL THE TRIGGER.
So, here's how I think it should be:
Gun games should make it "Realistic" so some guns are "Locked' while others aren't.
So, here's an idea: If you try to fire your shotgun underwater, the gun will be disabled, because the player character knows that it is dangerous to fire a shotgun underwater.
However, if you try to fire a revolver underwater, it'll work because the player character knows it's same to do so.
Yeah, in real life, apparently revolvers work well underwater.

Sven coop always makes these mods much more challenging with more variety of weapons to use against the much harder enemies. If it was left the way it was then it would be too easy for coop play
loong time ago i bought game called counter strike 1.5 and you had to have half life in order to install it. I live in 3 world country so all games we bought on cd was pirate back then we just didn't had internet to download it our selves so blockbuster rental did it for us and sell it at cheap price. Once i installed cs 1.5 over half life i got 3 new campaign (or mods) 1 was they hunger 2 forgotten 3 also forgotten but i remember that in third i played with Gordon freeman in spaceship and in the end ship landed on some strange greenish planet. Cd is kaput and i can't remember the name of mod to this day...
