The Law@ why exactly. It makes some sense. The infection is so dangerous and they knew very little about it so better kill any potential carriers better safe than sorry after all
the final bosses are a whole lot easier than I thought. For Dr. Franklin, it's easier to just use grenades on him. For Sheriff Chester, you need to save at least 1 machine gun grenade as it will destroy the helicopter in 1 hit.
Yeah, I though you had to try and shoot Sheriff Chester, not the entire helicopter. It took me several tries before I realized this lol
I tried a rifle grenade but he's still up and running...
@@lewiscain-mcaliece1805 I decided to try nocliping to him and empty all of my ammo accurately and he still didn't die. Literally not enough ammo to kill him on hard.
@@StereoBucket I found the same thing. I ended up using cheats to see how much minigun ammo it would take to kill him, and it was almost 900. I tried rifle grenades too and I lost count but it was over 10. How the fuck are you actually supposed to kill him?
@@kered13 literally was supposed to use TNT on him. This damn chopper didn't even noticed 2 perfectly timed TNT throws.
Every few years this mod will pop in my head, and I have to rewatch these 3 playthrough videos to relive this great story, I last played it about 15 years ago or so and it was so much fun, but I'm content reliving the moment by watching these videos

Very late reply, but the cops in the helicopter were zombies too. All cops except Deputy Jerry Hoobs who you meet in the end and that guy who saved you in Episode 2 seem to be turned.

Late reply, but the chopper is borderline impossible to beat without playing on easy while conserving ammo or cheating. It sucks I know and is the biggest flaw with an otherwise great mod like They Hunger.

While I appreciate the playthrough video, good god was your playstyle infuriating. Shooting vents and boxes open with scarce ammo, missing/skipping ammo pickups, shooting headcrabs with your magnum, taking off your silencer which drastically reduces your accuracy then trying to shoot at a distance. It's a wonder you survived.
They Hunger is my favorite Half Life 1 mod and i fell like anyone else here has the same opinion
