Mannnnnnnnnnn, I am downplaying how much I fucking disrespected the game when saying that. I've legit made some of the worst plays known to PLO man. I need some fucking emoticons on RUclips to express this completely.
Even if in your videos you talked analysis for 17 hours straight id still watch it with zero breaks, love your content, definitely made me a better plo player #thegreatgame
I love how you always take backdoor quad draws into account, never heard that before you while discussing possible draws :D great vids btw its always tempting to go punt some on the PLO streets after NLHE sessions.
Welcome to PLOker Hands! In today's episode, Joey gets into the Sauce and goes for broke. We're taking shots and running it up. Can we get our money in good? Does Ben call it off with enough equity? Let's run the numbers and find out.
Much Love Joshua. will try to get to your comments because they are really good but when I reply in written format it sometimes takes me a long time to do. I much prefer video format for almost everything i am doing right now
Thanks, any reply is most appreciated and not mandatory - often typing does take time. Enjoy listening/hearing the insight of a successful PLO player. Cheers, Papi.
Great video as ever. Definitely think it is cool to have a mix of some live hands and some hands from online endbosses (Sauce123, Jungleman, Ansky etc) Just wondering - are the equities you showed really accurate? Correct me if I'm wrong but when you put in AsXs, doesn't it include every single combo with AsXs in it, down to the As9s7h2c of the world, which you for sure never 3bet out of the small blind? If so, there is a disproportionate number of lower-equity combos (because JJ, TT, JT are blocked by the board and KK, KQJ are blocked by Sauce's hand) in the range used for this calculation. Also, do you think you take this line with all of your strong value hands and will never just bet with TT or JT?
I Like the long analyzes and talk cuz as im new to PLO I learn a lot. Did not think about sitting with a reg when he is sitting at a soft table that his range would be wider and we could exploit it. Good point and. Great vid!
Thank you for 16:25 through 17:30ish Joey. Facing some brutal on and off the table variance on BlackChip right now (random funds missing, tables not opening and not being refunded), and I play the highest variance game on the site, BUT complaining won't get me anywhere, and I'm not working hard enough. Playing is easy. Going through ICMizer, dissecting the shit out of the main regs games, working hard on ranges and exploitative adjustments, that's what no one wants to do that I need to do more of.
Damn Joey... I've always watched your videos, knew you played the game, but never knew you were so successful and even took shots at these limits. Way to go man! Very impressive!
you're the best Joey. I love the way you think and talk. It really motivates me to become a harder worker and therefore a better player and thereby shifting my love/hate ratio for plo more towards the positive.
Over Analyzing is synonymous with the opposite of Lazy. Great video Joe. So this was Mar 20, 2012. When did your 100/200 shot taking begin? How long did you stay at this level? Any good stories you can share about this experience?
If you bet turn and he shoved, what's your calling range and wht you consider his shoving range? Last overanalizing thought, what's your river action in a bet/call or check/check turn situation? (is this asking for too much free info papii?)
Quick questions: 1. Would you see more merit to checking AAT7 with a spade draw or without? [Opposed to betting into Sauce 123] 2. Would you see more merit to checking raise AAT7 with a spade draw or without? [Opposed to check calling into Sauce 123] 3. Also why do you see less merit to about letting the bingo player in if you hit the flop harder you are making more money from the bingo guy than a tough super reg like Sauce123, even if you have the best hand pre? 4. If Sauce thinks you are shot taking. + the table is weak. Is there merit to calling wider?
Thanks, I am very pleased that a great player is taking note of the waffle. I will make it my mission to write a comment as soon I see a new PLO joeingram1 episode :).
Maybe I'm a nit but I think it's rare to get in 100 BBs with aces and no redraw and scooping. I'm usually looking for someone else to overplay their aces. I'm not criticizing, the action did make sense in this spot. I'll keep watching and hopefully fix some leaks.
albert, are you the same fag with the greatest man alive avatar on 2p2 who complains about how hard it is to sell movie scripts but doesnt realize its hard for him to sell scripts because he sucks at script writing?
albert because of the hand equities running so close and protection being such a big thing , no limit Omaha will just be a preflop shove fest since there arguably for example is more money in just jamming the rag aces pre OOP instead of making a normal sized 3-bet.
Hey man!!! I love that you are like if you aren't putting in work on statistics and analytics of your game and ranges then don't stop bitching. However, I don't have a "poker buddy" to discuss hands and strategy with. I hope to study more of your videos in the future. :) Thanks bro!
I'd be okay with you making a 3 hour video on a PLO hand where you don't hold back at all and just talk about spots from every perspective and consider many factors and stuff! I would love that.
Love PLO Joe! Do you have any recommendations for a site to play on that is a legit site? I keep seeing more and more articles and people saying that the majority of the online poker sites are rigged. What site do you usually use for online? I used to use betonline but no longer play after hearing all this stuff about online poker.
I thought you were going to go further into "over analyzation" regarding a check call scenario. That river card could have definitely scared you off the hand if you checked and he shoved. I thought you played the hand perfectly.
Every card is a straight! There are no bricks in PLO!!! If it goes check check. GTO wise you call with stronger hands + we can have better bluff catchers and straights. Can come down to instinct since it is pretty much a straight or not a straight/busted flush draw or straight draw. Not only because he checks but it is just too thin to bet anything else. Just can go for instinct. We have a bluff catcher on anything. 3 Check/Fold (pray for a check) 5 Check/Fold (pray for a check) 6 Check/Fold (pray for a check) 7 Check/Fold (pray for a check) 8 Check/Fold (pray for a check) 9 Check/Fold (pray for a check) Q Check/Raise (If Sauce bets) Q Or lead for pot reaping AK K Check/Raise (If Sauce bets) K Or lead for pot reaping AK Calling is reasonable. But you are in the guessing game. You could call on more reasonable rivers but Sauce123 is likely to bluff on these ones less if Sauce123 is balanced calling and folding should have the same EV. With a bluff catcher. Which is our hand. QK/ he has the blockers so possible check raise. Check raise is often better since he can rep stronger straights. If Sauce123 bets half pot you can potentially get him to lay down 98 On a Queen river or Q9 on a king. We do not look like Aces after checking, and high cards are in our 3 bet range so seems sound and balanced to me. On spade defo check raising. With the nut flush blocker. This is the blocking hand to bluff with. Maybe not though because with the nut flush we usually do not check behind the turn with it so is less credible. And we are probably leading like on the Trickett hand. So I think we bluff still. I do not know. It is close we have showdown value, yeah I think we bluff to fold out two pairs and sets. Betting 1/2 pot. Getting looked up by a flush.
I guess he means the part about needing to do this type of shit to become a Jeans89 as opposed to a losing micros player like most youtube commentators.
This is a great video one of the best you've ever made when it comes to breaking a hand down but that background music makes it almost unbearable to watch just explain the hand we don't need the music thanks Joey you're the man
The sims could be further refined to exclude combos of JT,QJ9,AsXs, that would never reasonably be in your 3 bet range, not a complaint though. Love these ploker hands vids.
Yeah Lachie, when you don't specify more variables in the input, it will add in every possible combination and many of those hands we wouldn't be 3betting preflop.
Whoever the guys are who don't want strategic info here: Get out of this poker channel! To Joey: Love your content, your knowledge and your passion for the great game of pot limit omaha. Keep the work up!
Great question, you took it to another level. We can look at it from an easy POV. Let's assume I only 3bet T+suited and I flat pre with my 9h < (minus the 7x.) This is a really good thought experiment because if I think checking with the T is good, then what is the difference between J/Q/K? I wish I could talk this out in a video instead of in my writing because I would be able to sound much smarter about it than I can typing haha. I need to make another channel for OVER OVER analyzing spots like this. I think I would bet my Q/K but I'm not entirely sure why if my expectations are that he is going to bet a big part of his range. Might be some argument to going for the C/R with the T and not playing a river but betting a Q/K.
No offense but the vids pretty drawn out and got pretty stale towards the middle. I recommend you plan out what you are planning to say before recording so you get into those pondering tangents
do you think he snap call because kk is one of his strongest hands he can have in this spot so if he's folding kk he is only calling with 2 pair and that would be exploitable
No No No. It is completely irrelevant if it is the best hand or the worst hand Sauce123 has it just comes down to math do I have enough equity V the range of hands Joe Ingram is shoving. Sauce123 thinks it is a clearcut yes. And snap calls. I would not expect aces to go for the check jam, usually I would just expect aces to continue betting. And it does look more bluffey this line, in my view or two pair(y). But regardless aces is the scare hand and the only hand Sauce123 is clearly not getting the right price against. V a naked JT (AJT9 - for example) Kings has 25% equity. It really is not doing that badly against two pair. + It is really is a snap call when you give it some thought. When you are V a pair and a wrap Kings is between 67% and 57%. Add IN the flush draw a pair and a wrap it is a coin flip 42.5% for the kings or maybe 50% depending on the strength or wrap and potential danglers. Just need to guess what Joe's range is and make an assumption if we are 31% or not? And if AA is the worst hand we can face, then yes - we are. Unless Joe doesn't often go for the C/R bluff with a combo draw. Joe could 3 bet JJ but generally plays better in single raised pots and is happy letting the big blind in. A double paired hand is more of a deep stacked play to 3 bet for deception - where they are too short to have this deceptive value with JJ44. So Joe isn't at the top of his range but he has the top of his range against Sauce123's hand which is a very very fortunate result. But Sauce123's play is good - assuming Joe takes this line as a bluff and has a wider 3 betting range than AAxx. Just depends on numbers and combinations. KK is behind AA by a significant amount. But not that far behind JT (okay not enough to call) - but you do not need to add many hand combinations for this call to become automatic. This is a very interesting hand because initially you would not expect the numbers to work out in favour of a bet / call for Sauce with a hand as weak as 2 kings no redraw - but the numbers are in favour of calling, in my view. Although, does depend on how much weight you give different hand combinations to Joe's range.
The equity is slightly higher V two pair - 27.50% the gutter has 3 outs not 2 outs. So he is only 3.5% of calling equity V JT. If you are Sauce given Joe's line - in reflection I would not be scared. Who plays aces like that anyway ;)
KK isn't one of the strongest hands he can have. He has lots of two pairs, some sets and certain combo draws (albeit only the best ones) that are all stronger than his actual hand.
Why is your only decision to pot all in? Do you really want to force sauce to only call you with better? (Usually) What did you put him on exactly? You are basically saying I have AA *close my eyes*, I hope I win, I'm all in.
You probably want to have some c/c range in this spot at some point in time over a developed dynamic but we also don't mind when he folds after we pot all in. And there is plenty worse he calls with and not much better. You are looking at things from a very GTnO POV atm
I analyze my opponents and have been getting killed by the two to a flush on the flop... Currently I would have folded to this flop without having the nut flush draw to go with my other draws. This hand just seems nuts to me you guys basically played it like a holdem hand kk vs AA. Ugh. Any ways wish you would have analyzed this more. Like why are these hands good are they connected there is like no draws on that flop except the 4 outer to the five wtf a 4outer straight draw in plo seems like garbage. Ugh.
If you want 30 second analysis you noobs should stick to no limit hold em
wait
EZ Game . . .
These Americans on RUclips are always spending 15 minutes explaining ONE SINGLE HAND!
hahahahahahaha but you?? wait..
Jason Rentaponga lol I fold
Doug, Joe. What happened to table talk? Can't speak for the people, but I really enjoyed it.
"I disrespected the game with some plays, the thing is I run well" lmfao i fucking died papi when you said that

Keep the in-depth analysis coming bro, those videos are a premium learning tool.Thumbs up as always
One of the few times I've seen Joey get real and critical rather than relentlessly positive and non-confrontational.
:D
Thanks for keeping the videos long.
PLO is a fantastic fascinating game. It is great to hear your words of wisdom.
I appreciate it, Papi.

Enjoying the PLO vids, nice break from playi..... i mean paying rake on pokerstars ($115 rake paid in 8k hands @10plo this week)

I'm going to listen to: 16:00 - 17:30 each morning. Currently winning micro grinder, will move up soon and incorporate this. Thanks Joe.
Oh man, I wasn't looking for this Joey but I am so hyped you're making them. PLO will explode this year :D
These are my favorite Joeingram1 vids. Hand replayer with analysis! Thank you!!

Superb video Joey!
Loved the overanalization part
Awesome break down of the hand. I love seeing how you think of plo.
i honestly cant believe either ones move, the push and the call like wowzers! Thats big stack poker right ther!🤤🤤😨😲😁👍👍
you're the best Joey. I love the way you think and talk. It really motivates me to become a harder worker and therefore a better player and thereby shifting my love/hate ratio for plo more towards the positive.
I love this one man. Solid commentary and I miss 2008-2011 Joey but 2017 Joey is tight too
Over Analyzing is synonymous with the opposite of Lazy.
Great video Joe. So this was Mar 20, 2012. When did your 100/200 shot taking begin? How long did you stay at this level? Any good stories you can share about this experience?
love the over analysis, please more examples of using propokertools!
Subbed at the topless scene. Priceless.
sick value in these analyses keep it up joe!

Great Video Joe! Love your stuff.
Thanks Alex!
Nice content here Joey - enjoying your PLO videos...
Nice vid, good to see the plo hands, keep the great job PAPI

Love your hardcore analysis!
Channelling your inner Eric Thomas there a bit at the end lol
haha I get so fired up
I like the Music concept in these hand analysis Great job Joey Thanks . . . -D1G1TALFOX
Quick questions:
1.
Would you see more merit to checking AAT7 with a spade draw or without?
[Opposed to betting into Sauce 123]
2.
Would you see more merit to checking raise AAT7 with a spade draw or without?
[Opposed to check calling into Sauce 123]
3.
Not letting the Bingo guy in. He will call any 4 probably. In this exact spot.
Imagine if he decides to 3 bet. He 3 bets to pot. Sauce moves in probably. You have Aces.
That is a dream scenario.
lol I love you, plz do not leave my comment area any time soon
Thanks, I am very pleased that a great player is taking note of the waffle.
I will make it my mission to write a comment as soon I see a new PLO joeingram1 episode :).
I think that you are perceiving his entire flop continuing range and turn betting range WAY WAY WAY 2 tight
Maybe I'm a nit but I think it's rare to get in 100 BBs with aces and no redraw and scooping. I'm usually looking for someone else to overplay their aces. I'm not criticizing, the action did make sense in this spot. I'll keep watching and hopefully fix some leaks.
thanks from chile for the vid JOE great review, let see how much i can improve with it =)
Joey I'm a NLHE guy, and always wonder why there isn't a NoLimit Omaha?? Or why it isn't popular.
play americas card room its constantly running. Honestly i hate it because people shove with aces pre flop and it pisses me off.
albert, are you the same fag with the greatest man alive avatar on 2p2 who complains about how hard it is to sell movie scripts but doesnt realize its hard for him to sell scripts because he sucks at script writing?
albert because of the hand equities running so close and protection being such a big thing , no limit Omaha will just be a preflop shove fest since there arguably for example is more money in just jamming the rag aces pre OOP instead of making a normal sized 3-bet.
Shadowrun 360 dafuuuuuuq. No mate I'm a different kind of idiot.
TIMS30 Thanks man, I see it now.
Hey man!!! I love that you are like if you aren't putting in work on statistics and analytics of your game and ranges then don't stop bitching.
However, I don't have a "poker buddy" to discuss hands and strategy with. I hope to study more of your videos in the future. :)
Thanks bro!
what site is this? and which ones do you recommend for middle stakes plo?
Backdoor quad draw.
Legendary!
That was an awesome rant. Agree 100%
niiiice vid!! Keep it up dude
I'd be okay with you making a 3 hour video on a PLO hand where you don't hold back at all and just talk about spots from every perspective and consider many factors and stuff! I would love that.
:D
Hi, maybe it would be better to not show your opponent cards before showdown? Then we could be also assuming what are his range/cards? ;) Great job!
Hey Papi!!! Do you know if verve.oasis aka Gabriel Goffi is still playing the great game online?
Good shit Joey. Great content.
I thought you played the hand perfectly.
if u have k7k10 instead do u still play the same line or not ?
i had to sub for the 2008 and '11 flashbacks
longer the better... let's analyze every possibility 💵 ...Also "what if" scenarios, where taking a certain line may be terrible or really good 👍 😎
Good stuff Joey! 🙏🙏
Keep talking bro... love when you over analyze everything in your vid. I’m listening 👂
If he checks behind turn, whats your line River? on a Q, K 9.. and on a brick?
Every card is a straight! There are no bricks in PLO!!!
If it goes check check. GTO wise you call with stronger hands + we can have better bluff catchers and straights. Can come down to instinct since it is pretty much a straight or not a straight/busted flush draw or straight draw. Not only because he checks but it is just too thin to bet anything else. Just can go for instinct. We have a bluff catcher on anything.
3 Check/Fold (pray for a check)
5 Check/Fold (pray for a check)
6 Check/Fold (pray for a check)
7 Check/Fold (pray for a check)
8 Check/Fold (pray for a check)
9 Check/Fold (pray for a check)
Q Check/Raise (If Sauce bets)
Q Or lead for pot reaping AK
K Check/Raise (If Sauce bets)
K Or lead for pot reaping AK
Calling is reasonable.
PLOker hands, much love papi
gah i
You couldn't help but include 60 seconds of motivational speech, could you? I loved it!
What do you mean :D
I meant the part at ~16:00 that ultimately got me to stop wasting time at youtube like a moron and go continue analyzing monotone flops.
I guess he means the part about needing to do this type of shit to become a Jeans89 as opposed to a losing micros player like most youtube commentators.
you should call it polker hands
This is a great video one of the best you've ever made when it comes to breaking a hand down but that background music makes it almost unbearable to watch just explain the hand we don't need the music thanks Joey you're the man
hilarious, insightful, and motivating. great fucking video!
he always says backdoor quad draw like its nothing haha.
GREAT STUFF MR iNGRAM!!! :D
Brilliant video
i love the background music
:D Thanks!
The sims could be further refined to exclude combos of JT,QJ9,AsXs, that would never reasonably be in your 3 bet range, not a complaint though. Love these ploker hands vids.
Def agree, wanted to keep it simple but I should probably start doing that for future episodes.
Scott F why would those hands not be in a 3bet range? is your 3bet range literally just AAxxds?
Lachie Panetta no, referring to removing some QJ94, JT26 type hands not all JT QJ9 hands
Yeah Lachie, when you don't specify more variables in the input, it will add in every possible combination and many of those hands we wouldn't be 3betting preflop.
joeingram1 yeah I get that, but I think a hand like the QJ94 with a Q high suit would be a good type of hand to mix in as a bluff
your doing gods work son.FTS!
Awesome work papi!
joey how many hands of plo and nl have you played?
I think its about 4-5mm of NL and 3-4mm of PLO
Whoever the guys are who don't want strategic info here:
Get out of this poker channel!
To Joey:
Love your content, your knowledge and your passion for the great game of pot limit omaha.
Keep the work up!
Would you do this if you didn't have the 10 in your hand joey?
Great question, you took it to another level.
We can look at it from an easy POV. Let's assume I only 3bet T+suited and I flat pre with my 9h < (minus the 7x.)
This is a really good thought experiment because if I think checking with the T is good, then what is the difference between J/Q/K? I wish I could talk this out in a video instead of in my writing because I would be able to sound much smarter about it than I can typing haha.
I need to make another channel for OVER OVER analyzing spots like this. I think I would bet my Q/K but I'm not entirely sure why if my expectations are that he is going to bet a big part of his range. Might be some argument to going for the C/R with the T and not playing a river but betting a Q/K.
Thanks for the insight Joey - Much appreciated man. Keep up the good work!
Great vid :)
Thx Oskar :D
Isso faz tempo hein. Ate o Goffi jogava ainda.
Great vlog buddy,constructive game analysis
can you do a video about how to play the guitar?
I wish!!! I aim a big noob Oscar :(

10% of your bankroll in one game? That's how people go bust.
Bring back table talk!!!!!
I have a feeling
thx for sharing
:D
love the video, thanx papi
Thanks Rabah :D much love
Keep the Great Game alive.
its your content joey, you do you
more chicken
How dare anyone suggest reviewing a random hand from 2012 is "hanging on desperately to one ultra pathetic degen feats of 'glory'"?
>Polker hands
>PLOker hands
Coincidence?!!

Why is your only decision to pot all in? Do you really want to force sauce to only call you with better? (Usually) What did you put him on exactly? You are basically saying I have AA *close my eyes*, I hope I win, I'm all in.
If he would have called, the river could have very well scared joey off the hand if there was a check/shove.
ant banks still doesnt justify imo
It seems like you are looking at the hand from a NLHE perspective.
You probably want to have some c/c range in this spot at some point in time over a developed dynamic but we also don't mind when he folds after we pot all in. And there is plenty worse he calls with and not much better. You are looking at things from a very GTnO POV atm
joeingram1 what worse hands can call a check jam on the turn vs hands that beat you
I analyze my opponents and have been getting killed by the two to a flush on the flop... Ugh.
