I have been doing this for more than 20 years and like many, I also don't have a top system so I am always trying the recommendations from others on how to squeeze more FPSs out of my system. Aside from reducing my sim graphics quality settings, I have tried many, many things and this is the FIRST time that a recommendation actually works!!!! Thank you soooo much.
This truly worked. I was about to give up and uninstall the TDS GTNxi because the framerate was simply unplayable. Windows Defender was using 40% CPU whenever I turned on the navigation screens. Now, it uses about 0.5%
Turning off hardware-accelerated GPU scheduled is a non-stop for me. With Nvidia 4000+ series graphics cards it is required to be on for frame generation, which is a MUST for MSFS, as it gives up to a 100% boost in FPS. Hope TDS can fix that limitation.
This seems to have made a big improvement in my 10 year old sim. I did not have the Hardware Acceleration option so maybe my GTX 970 video card doesn’t have that option. Also, “Use nanoVG for XML gauges” wasn’T in my Experimental list.
@@AirborneGeek Yes, bad luck. Good NZXT offers 6 year warranty on cooler/pump combo. But time consuming getting repaired, service guys waiting for repair authorization…good thing it’s free ! PS. Are you running FS2020 in 2K ?
@@AirborneGeek Cool ! I used to run in 4K, got ~ 35-40 FPS with 3070Ti. Stepping down, bought a 2K gaming monitor, hoping to see 45-50 FPS when computer is back. Tried to run 2K on my older 4K screen, picture looked just bad, so I changed. Also nice stepping up from 28” to 32” :)
Hello After having problems after installing Honeycomb yoke and throttles drivers in MSFS(MSFS wouldn't load past a certain point, I fixed it I don't even now how after 8 hours of work), Now I lost the TDS GTNxi in my black square Kingair 350(actually in other aircraft as well) it's a blank screen. Yesterday, not sure what I did but it came back, after another rebooting of MSFS I lost it again. I had a lot of problems initially installing the TDS GTNxi and make it work a few months ago but I succeeded and it was very stable until my misadventure with the Honeycomb drivers. I've tried many things again this morning, reinstall and all that, still a black screen....I notice that when I load up the TDS GTNxi flightsim app , I don't see the ''Realsimgear hardware compatibilty'' checkbox anymore, I remember that I could check it in my initial installation of the GTNxi....when I start MSFS the Realsimgear application does start with a temporary image of the TDS GTNxi, but still the GPS is a blank screen in the aircrafts..... Any ideas anyone? Thanks
Hi Frederick, I think it would be best to get on the tds discord channel and post the issue there. I am not aware of a solution to this one but their experts can definitely help out with this. I haven't been using it much lately so not well connected with the latest updates🙂
I am having issues with it too since the last month. Try to contact them on discord and they would be glad to help. I just haven't had the time to fix it lately 😞
I just spent thousands of dollars buying a system tht is on paper much much better than any ultra setup required for msfs and its still shit, WHY? BEcause MSFS SUCKS!!!!! Its rubbish and needs so much work.

Yup I'm running it at 2k. Cannot go back to 1080p anymore for anything :)

Yup you can do that. The option will still stay enabled and you'll be good to go.

Despite this still experiencing a 7 to 13 fps drop when using vr + the TDS in msfs here at least.

Yes, irrespective of which aircraft you are flying, you will get the performance improvement if you do this :)

Not at all man, infact the performance increase might change based on which aircraft you fly and also the pc specs.
