In Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Abe shut down RuptureFarms and saved his buddies from becoming snacks. But RuptureFarms was just the beginning; the Glukkons are digging up bones at the ancient Mudokon burial grounds. They use the bones to make Soul Storm Brew. Abe must travel to the Soul Storm Brewery, stop those corporate villains and save the enslaved Mudokon workers.

In my opinion this game still has the most beautiful Artwork of all time.
So much fantasy, so much effort, I just love it.
Especially the backgrounds for the Scrab Temples in Necrum.

Its sad the the new Oddworld have amazing grafics compared with the old ones but not even close to the old gameplay .Exoddus and Munchs are still my favorits .
I must admit, I prefer the Oddysee backgrounds a lot more, but these ones are still as dark, gritty and fantastical and I love em.
@@ArcienPlaysGames Problem is, a lot of the Oddysee backgrounds are reused and flipped quite a bit. But yeah... both great.

If you hold r1 and press CIRCLE TRIANGLE SQUARE X then the down button 3 times and CIRCLE TRIANGLE SQUARE X again you make abe become invincible, I only use it for fun

how did he 'fall in a well' at the bonewerkz boiler start?
RockerEAB that well "is there", I mean, there is an well object placed there, with the level editor, it is possible to move that object a little upside, so it can be used to jump into. Or maybe, in US version of the game, the well is upper than on the Spanish version, which I play.
This is why robots are going to take over Earth.

Also, Invincibility Is ON!. He literally in a group of slags/dogs who are attacking him and nothing happened and he walked past a bomb, exploded and he continues to keep walking. I've known about a few of the glitches, but that's definitely Invincibility.
No it isn't
No hacks or anything.... The animation of walking through a door saved him. Abe doesnt get hit when you "run/enter" a door. Just look closely with that landmine in Feeco at the start. I tried it myself, and yes you will survive the explosion. Or in Necrum mines, where he probably spamming the (up) button to enter the door before the landmine explodes.

Update - So it's been a while since me or Dooty have updated this. Well, a new skip has been found at Bonewerkz Ender where you can skip the last Kill 'Em! section with Phleg. It's known as the Marshmallow skip in our community. I will be submitting an update on Bizhawk soon!

It bothers me that they went on to do a remake of oddysee but not this one. But at least we got a new game

he's doing something called the ledge glitch there, it's used multiple times even before that. He's also using another glitch where he does the jumping upwards animation but moves through walls. Kapteeni13 has a ledge glitch tutorial and I believe Sligfantry has a tutorial for the other one. There are others of course but these are the ones I used.
Ledge Glitch: /watch?v=u2nbAovWvgg
Stop-Turn/Jump Through Walls: /watch?v=BNnE_q2rgUw (You have to really practice this to get it right and to do multiple ones you need to either hold jump up or hop after doing it correctly)

Color me damn impressed on how fast and efficient you did this game play. Was surprised you gave a couple of sligs a slappin' and even was able to escape the gunfire by rolling and jumping.

What happens if you play in an emulator with 2 separate disks and not both at the same time and you reach the please insert disk 2 part?
You’ll have to eject disk 1 and put in disk 2. Either select the second disk iso or mount it.
Abe in the mining car is OSHA’s worst nightmare

whats the point of TAS? like, isnt it supposed to be that ur actually good at the game and can beat it vanilla at the quickest time possible? I mean, can I do a GTA5 run with unlimited ammo, godmode and teleport and say "hey look at me! I'm really good at this game" smh
TAS is to show what it looks like for someone to do a perfect run, that’s basically impossible for a human to do. To use all the exploits and perfect movements and see how it plays out
I may be 10 months late but TAS runs are frame perfect, they also abuse glitches, it’s entertaining to watch.
