If you’re having trouble sliding it back on like I did, you can use the same method used to take it off except from the underside of the mirror in the other hole. I was able to get past the resistance a lot easier that way. Great video!
Her car is looking good doc , I love the older s197's , however I skipped that generation, I went from my 02 gt to my 17 premium. Have a good night doc .
Turned out to be much easier than it looked. It looked impossible when I noticed the set screw I expected did not exist. I used the manual and solved my problem.
The only way that happens is if you pushed on the glass and not on the mounting bracket. I am sorry for your unfortunate circumstance. As you saw in the video, it is the method described in the manual.
My new OEM rear view wouldn't seat all the way down, so I hit it with some wd40 then looped a rag around the base and pulled toward the front of car and it slid in that extra bit
Thanks for the mirror info. I hear burn outs are good for the tires and the neighbors love them.
You heard right if your neighbors are like mine. LOL
Healthy car. Videos 5 years old, 1 year before I got mine. So many individuals hate motors that pur. See you ain't one of em.

How do you get it back on?
It just slides on easily. No effort. Nothing to tighten. Thanks for the question.
@@DocsBoost Thank you.
This did not help it put a damn hole in my windshield
What?
The allen wrench must rest on the metal bracket for the mirror, not the windshield. You must have missed the plate and pushed on the glass.
It's a shame you had a bad experience but it is the only way it comes off.
The music sucks
Yeah, I know. I don't do that anymore.
