lol so i rent a 750 euro 1 bedroom house and my diswashe didn't close after 2 years of living there. no fcking shit it didn't want to cloe anymore pulled that diswasher out of his case and the top plate isn't even there so the presure wasn't enough. thanks for the video dude i fixed it right away, don't mind my broken English

@@knockittogether-kit exactly, they deny there is a problem with these locks, despite the fact your video (and others) highlight the fact. You're lucky if the lock lasts more than 2 years. Doesn't do them any favours in the long run though, just puts people like me off buying their products in future. There are better designs out there for sure. 🙂
Hi David. I do explain that I have pulled the machine out and that the door lock is at the top of the machine. I cut out the process of pulling out the machine, because at that point anyone watching the video will skip that part and maybe miss out on something else. Basically the front of the machine is at the bottom of the picture and the camera is looking down on the machine. I hope this helps you.
Thanks for responding so promptly. If I understand you correctly, you're replacing an item in the door. From the start of the video, you seemed to point out that the problem is at the top of the machine body rather than the door. I have a Seimens, (the title says Seimens or Bosch), and its door looks nothing like yours. Any mechanism in the door is within the main inner lining. It would require the door to be dismantled to access anything there.
@@DalgetyBayHypnotherapy No not quite. The door lock on this machine as located at the top of the chassis. When you open the door and look at the top of the door frame you can see the plastic catch poking out. This catch mechanism is what needs to be changed. The only way to change it is to pull the machine out slightly. When you pull out the machine you will see it located in the frame / chassis of the machine.

Unfortunately, you go from an intact machine to its innards without describing any steps. I can't work out where you're working.
