I am a born Muscovite, 66 years of age, and I can assure you what while Patriki is certainly a cool place, if not for other reasons then because that's a scenery of the famous novel Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, there are cooler places in Moscow than even Patriki and Kitai-gorod. I could show you many cool places in Taganka area, including the oldest church in Moscow with icons painted by famous Andrei Rublev. The Church is much older than Basil Cathedral in the Red Square. Also the Martin the Confessor Church of the most extraordinary architecture. Other streets basically unknown to foreign tourists is Bolshaya and Malaya Gruzinskaya Streets with amazing Tsreteli's 10-metre sculptures right in the open air along with Georgian Orthodox Church which is something special, Gothic Cathedral of stunning beauty and Tishinka flea market. Moscow is a weird one for me. I have a deep connection to and love for the city (because I was born there, and later in my life I spent a couple of decades living there), but nowadays I just absolutely hate spending more than one day there. In a situation when it's your hometown and you aren't just visiting as a tourist - it really drains you. The most annoying thing for me is the fact that, when I do come to Moscow, I have to use the navigation app in my phone to be able to drive around the city (and I started driving in Moscow way back in 2004, when there were pretty much no smartphones and you had to use a paper atlas, you'd think that 20 years is enough time to become very familiar with a city, the problem is that Moscow just keeps changing at a pace that's quite hard to keep up with).
Hi Vasilisa. Well done you got out from your cosy apartment, left the editing until later, to show us Moscow nightlife. It was very interesting to see and you seemed to be having great fun too. Fantastic video as always.❤
Cool and Nice, but I am surprised you have not made your way down to Chistye Prudy boulevard or somewhere else to see the Theatre festival events that were happening all month.
