Really nice showcase of modern day Moscow. Certainly has changed since I was there in 1999. The parks and gardens out the front of apartment blocks then were mostly just grass. The trees, shrubs, flowers make all the difference to the landscape. Massive construction was going on back then and now I can see how all of that has manifest. Really has come a long way. Looks great.

That was beautiful to see, LIsa. We used to have benches like that in our town. But in some places they replaced them with wooden blocks with ridges in. They're designed to be uncomfortable to sit on, to discourage the homeless and drunks from using them. Even if I put my coat over the bench, I can't sit there too long. It's good you get something back for recycling. Here we're expected to do it for free, and the private companies who benefit from it keep the profit.

What's raining cats and dogs! I'm glad the rain went up. The city centre of Moscow is like Times Square in Hong Kong or Otemachi in Tokyo. It's a beautiful city. It was impressive that there was almost no trash on streets.
Wow, Moscow is very impressive & cosmopolitan looking and many very impressive looking buildings. Also, your river transport looks ultra modern and clean looking. I certainly like the building facia made to look like very green with foliage. Your shopping of food looks very tasty & yummy and healthy too, and I can appreciate your need to eat more healthy after a recent long period of eating highly processed and basically junk type of food sold onboard the train. The cost of food especially within a city centre area was a surprise how much cheaper the prices compared to equivalent cities in the West, and for example within Las Vegas, USA, you would certainly pay a premium prices for food especially along the Las Vegas Strip just like most western cities where you have to travel to the outskirts or know a local where ti find cheap places to eat and buy groceries. That coffee place within that shopping mall where you bought your coffee looks so good! ❤

I enjoyed the walk though the modern architecture and found that summer was on july1 and we're back into spring weather nothing breaking above 22 C (mostly 14-18) so it was nice see some heat. It might be interesting to see the new north south link which goes through the Caspian sea and into Persia and the Persian gulf, it promises to be a major trade route of the future, and will link up with the belt and road initiative, it might be partially complete by next year. A north to south on that might be cool.

although our refrigerator is very old it works well, it works in Siberia mode while in Moscow it is +30 😂

@@lisa_with_love Северное сияние надо ловить. Явление не постоянное и скорее всего за чертой города. Ну а за северной зимой лучше середина января начало февраля.....Потепление, в некоторые зимы снег на новый год таял. А каша и гололед под ногами совсем не та зима за которой стоит ехать на север.

I definitely felt the tropical like storm has cooled down a bit now but wow it was hot and muggy and a couple of small hurricanes I also stay in Moscow around Kalushkaya originally from New Zealand been here for quite some time now no regrets I love it here

I enjoyed the walk though the modern architecture and found that summer was on july1 and we're back into spring weather nothing breaking above 22 C (mostly 14-18) so it was nice see some heat. It might be interesting to see the new north south link which goes through the Caspian sea and into Persia and the Persian gulf, it promises to be a major trade route of the future, and will link up with the belt and road initiative, it might be partially complete by next year. A north to south on that might be cool.
