Hi can anyone help enlighten a confused Canadian? I have been accepted into a PGCert at KCL instead of the Masters which I had applied for. What would be the reason for that? I had asked but they gave me the run around and is not being transparent. They did say I can request an upgrade after the PGCert to Masters. Whilst it’s true that having more research experience will of course help you, you need a PhD to lecture at uni regardless - during and after which you will do plenty of research. Therefore I’d just do the masters that most interests you / leads into a relevant PhD.
