Saw Newton Faulkner last year and he's still amazing live. He's so down to earth and such great fun. He really knows how to communicate with the audience and get us on board. He managed to get us to do some pretty complex backing (for a crowd) and it was a fab experience. I wish I was able to see him perform this weekend in Buckinghamshire - it's going to be a fantastic event!
When his voice gets all gravely when he sings 'but now I've gone and thrown it all away' and 'gotta leave you all behind and face the truth' does things to me no man has ever done or could ever do to me with a lot more than just his voice! and that cute little smile while singing the 'let me go' bits... o_O just beautiful.
This is what we call a "cover" young one....where either a group or a person makes a song their own...and many people seemed to like it...I give it props...
Are you listening to a different version. . . . I heard bismillah at 03:15 and again at 03:19. . . . . . it his accent that doesn't please you . . . . . or is it my hearing (which is shit)???
Carol Croft No, he doesn't say Bismillah at 03:15. He says we will not but in his accent it sounds " ve vill not" anyways Mert is right, he doesn't say bissmillah, it's no big deal but he should stick w/ the original version. He did a very great job though!
I love Newton he looks like hes gonna crack up at any point. he always looks like hes having so much fun, loved seeing him live it was less about his music more about what hes been mucking around doing on his guitar true talent
He is a true artist, it is not about who has the better voice or who can reach the highest notes, it is about that person who can reach your soul, make you feel this kind of electricity running through your body and inspires respect and admiration... woow i just cant describe it, words arent enough to fully explain this emotion
I love it.. Love his harsh voice. And his guitar playing, it sounds almost imperfect, which gives it a very special sound, that compliments his voice in a very positive manner.
That was an epic solo performance by Newton as always! He is an entire band to himself. 2 classic acustics people can't miss: Tear drop Write it on your skin (where he breaks the audience in to an epic cannon form that surpasses release track on the album) go watch everybody! Much love and Peace
Well whoever this guy is he certainly did his cover of Queen's song justice and what made it even more appealing was, he seemed to be having fun while doing it. Charming.
Incredible talent and brilliant person just find it funny when he shouts in an almost metal aggressive sounding voice at the end "TAKE CARE AND HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY HOME" ahh...love him!
Say what you will, I love how he inspired a sing-a-long. And he understands that music isn't a contest, it's about the heart and inviting you in to include you. I liked it.
He's basically playing guitar, drum and vocal all on his own... This guy's a genius. AND he doesn't mime the "will not let me go" part of the song like Queen do.
All my life I have always said that some song and musicians should never be covered and Freddy is one of them but kudos where kudos are due! Great interpretation and great tribute to one of the greatest! Well Done!
If anyone actually knows of Newton Faulkner then they'd have SO MUCH MORE respect for him after this song. Love his albums, love this song, love that he covered it.
I didn't personally like it, but I don't hate on it, because he just made it, his personal version, his own sentiment when he listens to the song, and the creativity to impose your own style over a masterpiece like Bohemian Rhapsody. Kudos to Newton.
Without having a fantastic voice and also without being a great musician ... But with tremendous charisma and dedication, he managed to make a gorgeous interpretation. Sensational.
I host a page on facebook called Acoustic Revisioning, It highlights incredible versions of songs done acoustically. I am honored to tell you THIS song just got posted. Chills is the a mild description of the feeling I got listening to this. Thank you JoeDog
ONE MAN. ONE GUITAR. IN MY CELL. ALL ALONE. LIGHTS OUT. YOU READY TO GO NIGHT NIGHT?!!!

This is what we call a "cover" young one....where either a group or a person makes a song their own...and many people seemed to like it...I give it props...
Its a nice cover but ;
3:15 Why would you change the lyrics of original song ?
Its 'bismillah' , not 'we will not' :DD
Are you listening to a different version. . . . I heard bismillah at 03:15 and again at 03:19. . . . . . it his accent that doesn't please you . . . . . or is it my hearing (which is shit)???
Carol Croft im still hearing 'we will not' or am i wrong ? ( i think im not) :p if it is an accent , it sucks by the way
does it offend you?
casperado666 No , just respect to the original

I love it.. Love his harsh voice. And his guitar playing, it sounds almost imperfect, which gives it a very special sound, that compliments his voice in a very positive manner.

Say what you will, I love how he inspired a sing-a-long. And he understands that music isn't a contest, it's about the heart and inviting you in to include you. I liked it.
Covers are not about trying to imitate the original artist, it's about doing it in your way.

Can't believe he's only 1 year older than me!!! His voice, his hair, his beard made me think he's a 50 years old man. That's AWESOME
Very enjoyable cover. Long live the Queen.
I think the nice thing is, he's just tried to have a bit of fun with his audience. Awesome work Mr Faulkner. Thanks for being you.
I didn't personally like it, but I don't hate on it, because he just made it, his personal version, his own sentiment when he listens to the song, and the creativity to impose your own style over a masterpiece like Bohemian Rhapsody. Kudos to Newton.
