The best part is that he's playing Haehyun, who is actually a robot being piloted by a teenage girl. In other words, he is fully connected with his character because he is literally driving the robot around.
I can imagine using 3 white keys for left, down, right and a black key for up. Then use the right hand side of the piano for the buttons in the game. You could even have traditional 6 buttons with punches on black, kicks on white.
Sure, you can say "it's just a pad!" but the use of the shifter for dust is a neat difference; there's something more ergonomic and therefore more comfortable-looking about it. 3:40 Not the keyboard I was expecting to see.

Practice your motion inputs with input display on so you can see your mistakes. Also, there are some games without motion inputs these days.
