Don’t really know what they want from homelander. They give him enough screen time to be the main character, certainly more interesting than everyone outside of Butcher. But then they give him some cornball dialogue. Like him and Ryan in synch saying “they are just toys for our amusement” I mean we got 3 seasons fleshing out his mental decline. Let’s take another angle. I mean four seasons and we see him once in another outfit.

They haven’t fleshed that out enough to be super clear.
You want to convince me he’s the greatest threat? Either use him more sparingly or when you do use him shake it up from just showing him being a weak cry baby. It’s going to make his downfall very uncathartic when he’s a sniveling baby crying and he just rolls over and dies
I feel like we barely know him, which in some ways plays to the mystery but in other ways feels like it’s because there’s nothing else to him.
