That's funny you should mention an escaped convict. I remember many years a couple of convicts escaped from prison and were spotted in the town my church was on that day (my mom worked as the church's secretary, and it was summer, so my sister and I accompanied her). We had to stay inside all day and lock the doors. It was in the south suburbs of Chicago. A couple of days later, they were caught in Crown Point (I think it was Crown Point), Indiana.
