@@ColtonGamingTV yeah, this one instance it's super duper fast! tbh i was surprised too.. i think it's because : -punch already has fast movement -i use kikaku (high melee thrust speed) -no shoulder weapons at all (ultra lw is ultra fast, but ultra fragile, so it doesn't take much to stagger, probably only a zimm, a slash, and another zimm/punch in short time)

@@juancolon123 thanks very much! 😁🙏 the pulse blade/slicer combo is specifically designed by Rivr (link to his channel in my desc.) to kill super heavies and tanks in a single true combo. pulse blade/zimm to stagger > slicer punish > end kick/zimm extend > pulse blade light slash (even nastier dmg if i have huxley on during slicer punish) but in case i'm fighting a MW/LW, i can still purge the slicer (or even missiles too if it's ultra LW) to gain the speed of a semi-LW while still retaining the MW's stability and defense (the punch combo has great damage potential too!)

Very cool matches before the patch dropped! althoough that guy running redshift Ml with KRSV got me confused, they have the right idea with the KRSV but using redshift wrong lol. I feel like they could have done alot more with the regualr RL (Red Light-Redshift) attack or traded for the ML. I only use the reg attacks for ML cuz im on cooldown or on enemy stagger, they are in a position that doesn't allow me to land the charged hit...

5:15 Shields are still tough now tho. Seems the patch didn't really change anything other than buff duckett which has now replaced vientos pre nerf. Great moves there man.

@@vulnerablerummyWhy nerfs are bad. Weapons should be buffed to match. Not nerfed. So people have options. Helldivers proved this to be true. If devs just nerf things all they do is move the meta around. It's whack a mole lol.

I fear the San Tai nerf kinda pushed this particular build way down. The large capacity coupled with the relatively fast recharge that the San Tai did provide was really clutch, now the extra downtime from the recharge seems to warrant a revamp of the build. Can no longer aggressively assault boost in pursuit of the enemy because failure to execute leaves you vulnerable for far to long. I feel the better melee build right now is a dagger/buckler lw running on fluegal, probably with the ming tang gen. Couple with some kind of missile with the Harris or Zimmerman with the bullet orbit (I am drawing a blank on the name). Either will work just fine, just depends on your particular playstyle. Zimm setup seems more forgiving, but Harris setup seems to be able to handle heavier builds a bit easier due to the charged Harris high impact.
Ryland..!! haven't seen you for so long, good to see you, man 🙏 i feel ya on san-tai, i really feel the slow recharge time on aerial battles. coming down to recharge takes too long i might just be a sitting duck. im swapping to ming-tang for now.. i've also swapped slicer for dagger occasionally, just gotta get used to its sweeping range. im kinda on the fence about buckler, meta's rn is dual ducketts and we definitely need more than 3 deploys to anticipate it (and other builds with low but continous impact).. boosters im still unsure, altho fluegel's got better overall speed, kikaku still won in efficiency and melee speed 🤔
@vulnerablerummy the idea behind dagger buckler is to leverage a booster with good boost stats and the best melee stats you can manage without sacing on the boost, coupled with high jump legs, like nacht or firmeza may be good now, for mobility. The idea is to be highly mobile and use the daggers short cd with a high impact weapon. The buckler, with its near 100% mitigation and stupid long window is used during recovery periods so you are not tissue paper waiting to be ripped apart by a light breeze. However, with dual Duckett being the flavor of the month, another shield may be better, but in that case I would up the beefieness of the build, instead of nacht or firmeza legs go with one of the melander or basho legs, as a start.
@@TheGlitterMan equipping a shield too can help a lot. but if you play double melee, usually i just push as aggressively as i can (you can try exhausting their shield with qb cancelling too) if you watch enemy's arm, usually you can notice them lifting the gun before shooting, you can use that to time your parry or qb to evade. (altho i rarely do this, ab-ing makes it a little hard to see) regardless, assuming both players are equally skilled, i'll prob lose 7 out of 10 to these zimm shield or lrb shield. the meta builds are just that good..
@@vulnerablerummy I play dual stun guns mainly and I dodge pre emptively so yeah against AVG dual Zimm I can deal with but S rank promo is where my dream die.
@@jimboanimations4041 most of us with non-meta builds are luring at A0-A2, B rank or lower xD there's some really skilled ones who managed to beat s-rank tho 🤔 tho probably hard to find with all the metas up there.

@@andrenighthawk4431 so far it's pretty good! way more charming now compared to kikaku with that thrust speed buffs the only aspect kikaku's better at is that slightly better melee thrust speed and cheaper ab cost (its still kinda good if you're focused on cancelling and ab-ing i guess..? need more practice to find out..) edit : i've not yet decided whether to main this or kikaku on my double melee, but my sword and board definitely use fluegel now!
