Hi, I feed every other day and the in-between days I defrost 2 cubes blood worms. I leave them to defrost whilst walking the dog.
If you didn't already know, COLD water is best for defrosting. (or leave covered with no water) If you use HOT/Warm water there is a reaction and it takes longer....
Good reservoirs of the underwater world, so good to have at home.
These are my two studios. I've actually only got one aquarium at home. I'm going to be redoing it soon as a feature on the channel.
@@MDFishTanks Okay, we'll keep an eye out.
Ha! Your re-enactments of coming into the studio are cracking me up! Love seeing how this tank is coming along, and now am needing to set up a tetra/gourami tank because watching your tetras makes me jelly 🤣
Keep those funny walk ins coming. You legend 😂
The dad jokes😂😂
Your goofy cut scenes crack me up, every part of your videos are so good either super informative or super entertaining 😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
9 /10 on dramatic entrance lost a bit of form towards the end 🤣🤣 yes defo keep the barbs they are nicest looking ones I've seen in a long time.
I agree, the most rewarding thing is knowing that you created an area in the back that the fish feel safe in. It may mean that you don't see them as often, but it is the best thing for the fish.
the entrance shots are great!! thanx for posting.
I like the natural angles and gaps between the wood 👍🏻
Perhaps the most accurate depiction of Google-ing something I've ever seen. 10/10!
Amazing what you have done in the past year. Great job MD 👌
Absolutely brilliant tanks. You make it look so easy. Proof of true talent.
I really like how natural your tanks look with sand, rocks, and wood as well as how you arrange it in irregular 3-d places. I know it may be basic but seeing it makes me realize how natural your aquariums look compared to mine
Love these videos and the fact that you are able to laugh at yourself and be silly. Top bloke!
I really love this set up! Probably my favorite I’ve seen so far. I recently started a 10g tank for my daughter but I wasn’t really happy with it. So, I started doing research and eventually found your channel and I am so glad I did! I’ve gotten some cool ideas and now I’m excited to upgrade and redesign to a new 29 gallon tank. I may set it up this weekend.. Anyways, thanks so much for sharing all the tutorials and even the bloopers lol it’s been awesome to watch 🙌🏼🌱🐠🦐🐢🐌🥰
Love love love your tanks, your videos, and your beautiful ideas!! ❤️❤️
It's awesome to see how far you've come ♥️
Awesome setup as always
I did my first aqua scape today in my new Fluval 168L tank. It’s looking wicked thanks to you and all your amazing videos that have helped me sort of know what I was doing! 😃 cheers, MD!
Your enthusiasm is definitely contagious!🐟🐠🌱❤️🇺🇸
Congo tetras are big glutens!! I’ve had a trio of males and 2 females for 2 years coming this November paired with a leopard ctenopoma and they get along great 👍
Love you studio entrance. Keep it up.
I am so addicted to your uploads! Thank you
This specific aquarium has become my favorite fish tank on RUclips. Please please please, keep sharing with us its future progresses. Much love ❤️
(The African river tank I mean)
Such a beautiful tank. Thank you MD 😘🥰
love ur stuff MD. keep at it
I Love those vlog kinda videos and specially the great acting at the beginning! 😂
Mann! Now I've got to convince the Mrs that we need an African river tank in our life! Looking so good MD. Good job 👌
Love your tanks and aquascapes
I love how clear your video qualities are. Cant wait to get better equipment lol. Great vid great tank!
I love how you walk into your studio!😊💖
I love kribensis. Used to have some in my old apartment. Some day I will have again. Love them, awesome fishes.
Hey MD!
This tank is looking AMAZING and its probably my favorite tank of all time...
but!
i think redhead tetras would have looked soooooo beautiful in this tank
Don't forget 4K!!!!
Love this tank. The babies are so cute.
I know I've already told you about this at least 20 times, but you should make a tank called "The Java tank" - Everything you use in it should have java in its name - eg - Java ern, Java moss, Java rice fish, Java barb, etc
It'll be pretty cool
That is an epic idea
Once again, what a beautiful entrance 😁
the filmmaking on all of MD's videos is incredible.
Oh yeah they do be eating fast!!! Btw love your vids 🙂🔥
it seems amazon tank goes perfect, no algae and good quality water, fishes also got nice colors
It looks so good that I have to watch it again.
"in just the normal way I usually do." Hahahahaha
Wow this is perfect timing. Just came across the setup video for this tank on RUclips from a GreenAqua Indonesian scaping vid
the african river tank is epic
Loving the African river tank. 👍👍👍
Congo Tetras are really entertaining! They will actually pass around bits of food like they are playing rugby!
Loving the African tank!! Bloodworms are a very high protein food source that is good for some types of fish. My blood parrots get them several times a week as an evening snack. I rarely give them to my betta, maybe once per week for his snack.
Soon i will copy this aquascape. Always watching your vids.
Looking good!!!
tanks are gorgeous bro, you have a good knack for RUclips video's, peace†
i love it i will move in koppel weeks end i will do always like you do end really helps brother love it also the cleaning of the water en have also new platty babys also love it i love everything whit aquarium end green plant end the playing of the vis its so funny looooove your passion in this it keeps me love my vis thinks
love the entrance reenactments :joy:
Hello MD! If I were you, I would not tear down the Buddha aquarium. Your rasboras are really colorful. Pretty big probability that there's been breeding. They are egg scatters. You might be pleasantly surprised, just like with the white clouds.
Nice video as always MD! You're brave putting a wave maker in there with those tiny fish, I done that and bad mistake tetras got sucked up inside it :(
This African river tank is my favorite!!
Hahahahaa wow so Great now you do Those little funny scene’s
My local fish shop has just got these fish in - Steatocranus tinanti (A specialised African river fish) - The first thing I thought of was your set-up!!
Good video... love from Goa, India 👍
Looks great! Very similar to mine. I have rummy nose. Corys
Otto's and 1 honey gourami.
Hi MD I love your new aquarium and stocking
I also learned that if over feed actually benefits the plants as nitrates for plants in higher
Be careful: overfeeding can cause algae and high nitrate does harm to shrimps if you have them.
Great update/maintenance video... but you're such a tease... now I can't wait for this weekend's build video!! An erugami? Don't even know how to spell it, but I'm excited for it! LOL
I think it’s called Iwagumi 😉
MD you should do a peacock cichlid tank I think you would really enjoy it, they like to be crowded so for instance a 55 gallon tank could have 15 cichlids that are about 5 to 6 inches in length, and i know how you like a lot of fish lol. Love what you do your tanks are gorgeous just give it a thought if u want, all love from America
Maybe a blackwater set up for the harlequins with some broad leaf crypts might get some breeding action
thats sounds very interesting.....
@@MDFishTanks be cool, be leaning towards a more biotop setup
So great
I just rescaped my 20 gallon and after seeing the African river aquarium it kinda looks similar 😂 the only difference is that I used a lot of left over vallisnaria rubra from my past set up and this is the 3rd day from its set up and the tank cleared up so much it’s crystal clear as well
Great typing skills you got there and your spongebob desktop background 😂🤩
Rope fish would be perfect from an African tank like this. They will not harm plants and will bring you endless entertainment.
Can't get over the colorations of the female Congo Tetras! Looking forward to seeing the males!!!
MD I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! COULD YOU MAKE A FROM START TO FINISH MAITAIN CLEANING?do you vacuum your substrate?
Nice vid was wondering if you’ve ever considered doing a native tank or pond with like some perch
My last two harlequins are almost 8 years old; still eating like crazy. I think not feeding them everyday has increased their longevity.
You have tallent,so beautifull Respekt 👍👍👍👍👍😍
Your dramatic reenactments are killing me XD
Beautiful tank.Congo tetras are a big favourite of mine, the males are amazing .Have you seen the blue eyed version. They are stunning and think they are becoming available more now.A few would look great in that tank with the normal congos.
OMG! MD in 4K!
I love all your amazing tanks so awesome, love the open tops, but was wondering if you ever have problems with fish jumping out?
Some fish which are known as jumpers (i.e. Betta fish) have lids on their tanks. And the Discus bc they are expensive 😉 The others have lowered waterlevel. I think MD lost only a few fish since he does aquariums. Floating plants are helpful too
Those intros though 🤣🤣👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Tiger fish are from the DRC.
They're very cute and cuddly.😋
Can’t wait for the blue acara tank 🐟
You should try sourcing live blood worms…I swear you’ll see them smile
We used to feed flake for breakfast and frozen brine shrimp for dinner.
The congo tetras look great as females like u said can't wait to see the males
Love all of your stuff MD it is so inspiring!
Starting my 3rd 10 Gallon soon, any recommendations on stocking?
Hi! There are lots of videos on youtube that address your question. Maybe just type in the youtube search tab and your topic will pop up. I find Prime Time Aquatics (sorry if this isn't there exact title but they should come up for you in search. I know they addressed your question in one of there vids). Aquarium CooP has a video also re 10 gallon fish selections... Good luck!
Finalllyyyy ❤️
You ever used Tropco for buying fish online could find a nice female for the golden ram or Krib or maybe some male tetras
Love the Congo Tetra tank I mean African river system tank and your discuss look amazing idk if you feed them bloodworms but they love them too but the high protein from them will probably make your pair breed and don't know if you want that
Hi from St. Albert. Another great video. I actually prefer this "mix-style" show of a few tanks.
I have an idea, possibly your next adventure .... How about a Fiddler Crab tank? I had a Fiddler for about three years in a community tank. It thrived on a large chunk of semi-submerged log. If you accept this challenge I would like to suggest the name Sebastian?
Cheers!
the Buddha tank is one of my favourites...but it sounds like its on its way out! 😅
Lol 😂 I knew one was coming 👌🏻
That huge chunk of wood is sooooo beautiful and natural looking... Awesome
Babies are soo cute... Are you going to sell them?
African River tank is worth the money... Ahh can't take my eyes away from it and look at the beauty with all those tetras and baby fishes 😍.
Literally ❤ this tank more than any other tanks of MD's... (No offense 😬🙃)
Hi md can you do an update on the no filter vase please
Cool, amazing tank but if you do use liquid ferts what type do you use?
Big fan of the harlequins myself yours look great would love to see you do a naturalistic scape for them might give me some ideas too!
In nature they live in soft blackwater. If you want to breed them you should have some broad-leaved plants
African rope fish would be epic in here
I'm your biggest fan
thanks 😊
Another Awesome Vid MD... What happened to the "Lambchops"?
After the rams attacked them he put them in the Buddha tank
I breed convict cichlids and I've kept 4 babies (2 blacks and 2 whites) so hopefully they pair up in their own tank so that way I can produce more then just 1 batch at a time
Hi MD when are going to do a corner tank scape need help I just can't get mine write
“It’s doubled in size it’s incredible, well not doubled, that’s a bit of an exaggeration isn’t it…but it’s miles bigger now”
😂
My favourite tank of yours so far. I love your aquascaping style!
Stunning as always. Have you considered a deep substrate dirted tank?
Hi Father fish, MD has done some nice dirted tank set ups before 👍
Ha! that would mean he'd need to keep a tank set up for more than 6 months!
I thought about you when I saw how much food he was putting in the tank. 🙂
