every time md makes a colab with matt, you know something amazing is going to happen
And it's going to be a good laugh watching them do it. 10/10 banter
I'm optimistically excited about them going to Amazon. Hope that happens, that be a super Adventure.
Keep the 1st tank going! Create a whole new cichlid tank too! Its a good way to show case the range of tanks you sell at Maidenhead and also gives ideas of the habitats the fish prefer. 👍👍
Please do this! I love seeing these Colabs and these tanks are stunning! 😍
Totally agree
The 8ft is truly stunning! Looking like an actual river.
That's what we all want. That effect is what most of us are chasing! I love it 💕
I'd say keep the first one as is, it's the most newbie accessible while also looking stunning I'd imagine it's a really good example for new fish keepers and aquascapers of what to try out and that seems pretty beneficial to have in the store. It'd also be nice to see how it progresses with time because that's not something we get to see a lot of on this channel with your studio projects (understandably so!) but, again, for newbies it'd be helpful to see how you'd expect something like that to change with age and any issues and maintainance required over time. :)
Please don't take down any of the current aqariums! ❤❤ You'll find another tank..... Yes, I think a Tanganika? tank will be exciting! Hi from Norway!
I love you guys when you do your colabs together. Aside fom all the fun it is, we also get MD's aquarium builds knowledge, and Matts fish knowledge, at the same time! I really think the two of you are the perfect combination to make videos together! Hope to see lots more, in the future. I also like the imput from all the other employees you have at your store, Matt. All together it makes for a interesting, knowledgable, and fun video, every time. Thanks so much for making these colabs, you all!
This is one of the best fish-keeping videos I've ever watched!...so informative and realistic, brilliant and creative displays, great humour. Thank you for all the links to the various accessories and stuff. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos together!
Great update guys. I would love to see another new tank BUT please leave the original one (the very first one you guys did) for a bit longer. I think as the weather changes and the days grow shorter people would appreciate the colors and the movement on those wet grey days and be inspired to bring a little movement and color into their homes as well as the vibrant greens that will remind them of spring.
Very good point, about the dreary winter weather, and the need to see anything green. I agree with leaving the tank as is for a while longer.
I love watching this friendship grow. Its just 2 friends having fun and filming it.
Love the way you guys deliver so much valuable info in such a down to earth, chatty way!
Always so much fun with you and Matt together!
Danny’s tank setup looks great so far, I can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s finished!
Matt and MD go together like peas and carrots! Love the episodes they do together
Agreed. They are like a great therapy when you are down. Just watch them and a smile is back on your face.
The dad jokes get me everytime, you guys are such good friends, good chemistry, I love it.
Keep one of your tanks for a few years so we can see how you deal with longevity issues which most of us encounter because we can’t re do our tanks every 4-6 months? Really enjoy your videos, have got loads of aquascaping ideas from MD, loads of fish ideas from Matt. Keep mixing it up but maybe keep one long termer? My wife has just presented me with a blue acara , MD shirt, woohoo!
To be fair the longer a tank is running the more solid and less problematic it is assuming you are monitoring your water.
I’d let Flo, Hugh, Annette and Cliff decide what to do next. Great video as always, very informative and always gives me a chuckle. It would be a shame to see the neon tank taken down, my vote is to keep it.
Don’t forget trey
This is just what I need to get through work today!
Oh, the banter🤣 You two are a great team, and I love seeing you build these tanks.
These videos always start my day with a smile 😁 you guys are so awesome and fun together! Tank is gorgeous 😍
Matt and MD is a great duo. There videos together are just great.
Look forward to seeing y'all do new set-ups, but don't think you should take down the 4' just yet 🤔
Great spirit the two of you cooperating. Great humor.
Defenately make a new aquarium for the malawi, so people have the stone scape as an alternative to all these planted aquariums. Some do not wanna have the maintainance that the plants (especially stem plants) need.
I’ve clicked the like button but that’s only because I genuinely love all of your videos, it’s isn’t a vote to break down the first tank you built in fishshop Matt’s shop. I love that tank, to me it shows a very achievable aqua scape and how it’s grown in over a period of time. My vote is you do the new build in a new tank.
Perfect just before bedtime, Australia 🇦🇺
Cool vid
I am a Blackwater believer!!! My new outlook with Discus is make the tank how they would like it, not to what I think looks pretty.
I would deeply love a return of the go-pro footage!! especially for the new fish shop tanks
The African tank is one of the best set ups I've ever seen.... stunning
Definitely another tank! I personally love tanganyikan! I think a tanganyikan community would be fun to see.
Thank you for these videos! I check back almost everyday to see if either of you have posted. Love the work md! Mad respect! They all look amazing as per usual! Chuck it! I’m thanks guys
Keep all the tanks as they are!
All of the tanks look great! Create a 4th tank, and then maybe look at a makeover for the 1st one.
You guys are a winning combination 🎯🙌💕 Love the bromance, the humour & your tank collabs are brilliant.
Much love from SoCal 🖖
The tanks look absolutely marvelous.
Great update and informational video! Love to see you two together! Can't wait to see the new cichlid tank!
my local store had a group of Congo tetra for so long they reduced the price to like $2.29/per, so I bought em all. once you got them in a healthy tank, they look gorgeous
Great shop and display tanks. A real credit. From DOWN UNDER. 🇦🇺
Love the collabs with Matt!
I'm running a fluval 3.0 on my 55 gallon aquarium. I have the light dialed down to 25% brightness. I'm growing crypts and some stem plants. I've run it on 100% with CO2 and it worked great for that too. Great all around light.
MD, I enjoyed watching you clean. It made it real.
Yes! Time for a refresh!
The discus tank is a beauty. Love the Cory's popping out of the leaf litter.
I absolutely love the way you and Matt get along.
I love that you've sucked Matt and the shop into your aquascaping obsession.
Need more videos with both MD and Matt :)
I love your collaborations 🥰😁👍 You are so funny when you bounce off on each other energi 👌
Thank you! The tanks and talk are great fun.
Thanks for the update. Tanks are looking great!
Love that tank with the congo tetras
What a great boss matt must be.
I love these videos!! You & Matt are definitely comedy...always make me smile!
What's next then???
More displays and maybe so zoo exhibits??
Now that would be exciting hahaha!
A big asian fish aquarium. Some nice looking gouramis, tons of rasboras of different kinds, maybe loaches and other fun stuff😁 I don't even know but I do know that you'd create something awesome and I think asian fish are underrated so that would be fun!
eels
its gotta be a tanganyikan set up, my fav fish :-)
Get Matt to have a word with 'them upstairs'! .......... Hooray new tank on it's way!
Any tanks just more collab videos soo much fun to watch!
All of the tanks look great. Keep the tetra tank running a bit longer. It’s the best example of what a typical fish keeper could do. It gives us hope and inspiration.
I love all those tanks. Really fun video with lots of good information. Thank you.
So fun! Another great video. Thanks MD. And Matt.
I really like your first name..
love to see those hardscape by danny on your next project
The naughty schoolboys are back in the house. Love you two guys.
Well done. Really nice tanks. Questions about the river tank - what rate of flow works best for a river tank? Do you try for different speeds within the tank?
Thanks for sharing. I wish I had a store like this in my area. It seems well equipped, & the staff are friendly & knowledgeable.
Hi Fellas, I'd say keep the first tank going to see how it develops, and do another new build with different gouramis , if they are compatable with each other that is... I;ve seen a lot of gouramis in our local pets at home store, all in one tank , probably so many that there were no territorial issues.
Looking good guys.
Great videos the little comments between you two are class! If you do break the first one down what about a mega pint! nano fish tank? Chilli rasboras maybe some Pygmy corys some emerald rasboras but loads…
Great sharing stay safe ✍️
These posts are always really enjoyable!
Has anyone noticed that Matt's accent and speech patterns are very like James Acaster's? Being an American, I could be wrong, but both are very funny men, too. I find it to be interesting.
LOVE the tanks! I wish i were closer to your store, but it appears I'm about 5,300 miles away! :)
Very awesome video amazing 👏 cool tanks and fishes great 👍 collaboration team keep it 👍 up the good work 👏
Here’s a challenge for you both…. An Aussie bio type tank 🇦🇺❤️
Love the collaboration videos
Definitely a new 4ft tank setup, don’t kill the tetra tank it’s too good 😁😁😁👌🏼👌🏼🔥🔥
Great sharing ✍️
I’m not far from you guys just off in Bristol. If you ever wanna come and do my Discus set up which is in desperate need of a makeover. You’ve got an open invitation. Keep up the good work guys I’m going to pop in for a visit soon👍
Nice theme from jurassic park while opening the cabinet! 🤣
fun fact about plants and trees: one of the main reasons they grow so much better in the wild than indoors is due to wind. they have to create roots that go deeper to log them down, and stronger stems to resist being blown around. maybe its similar for aquatic plants and flow!
Please do the african cichlid tank MD! I'm a fan from the Philippines and very in to african cichlids. I would really love to see you and Mat set up a cichlid tank and maybe try to put some plants in it. Even if cichlids are notorious when it comes to plants I've read that some keepers have done it with java fern and anubias. It would be great to see what a scape expert and fish expert can come up with cichlids since you didn't really pursue the one that you have done before. Really excited to see this one hopefully
Another brilliant video with the two best in the fish world.
MD and Matt, how about a ticketed build workshop where we can come in and watch you scape a tank, and it could be live streamed!
New cichlid tank! The others are awesome and have learned a lot from you! Setting up my first black water tank because of your videos!!!
You should remove the biomedia from the bag in the discus tank.
If you can get the biomedia rolling youd have a very effective filter!
Not sure if I'm alone in this but I'd appreciate knowing the appropriate costs of the individual items and complete set up costs in all these videos as it is probably the main deciding factor in whether I decide to try and recreate some of the tanks shown.
Omg I love you guys 😂😍
Best fish shop ever !!
New tank obviously!
One of those neons looks like it has some growths on it
We come for the fish, we stay for the bromance 😍😍
Always love these collab videos
Another awesome video! I'd rather see another tank setup instead of breaking down the tetra tank.
So, first of al, top update on the aquariums. Am I right when you say that, when you start a new aquarium you put de Lightning on low and you bild it up the older the aquarium is? I have a evasion 127x80hx50. I am struggeling whit how I can show with planting how high the aquarium is. Do you have any suggestions?
If you do African cichlids, definitely do shell dwellers!
hey MAT. how do you remineralizer the RO water tank. and how would you do it if you had plants
4th tank! I want to come up and see the 1st one again before you break it down!
Thanks again @Matt for showing off the discus sump. I want to get one for my tanks eventually, but how small can a sump go to be effective?
First I have to say I absolutely love the aquascapes! Of all the vids I've seen, I've never seen you use a plenum or setup an anoxic filter for any of your builds. Do you have any plans to setup anything like this in the future to see how they work for your purposes? I've been watching lots of Dr Novak videos on the subject and converted my home aquarium over to this filtration system about two weeks ago. Too soon to tell if it is the end-all-be-all it is promised to be, but everything is looking brilliant so far. Looking forward to my tank aging and seeing any results for myself. Just curious of your thoughts? Thanks again and please keep your videos coming! Have a great day my friend.
I like the 4 foot tank, please keep it. Another big tank would be great!
I'm currently waiting on a big order of congos. Love them 💙💚💛💙💚💛
It's a Maidenhead Aquatics thing. Locally, their Aylesbury store is in Wendover.
What type of plant did you trim in the second tank? I love it!
The rainbow narwhal killed me 😂😂
I’ve always longed for a tropheus specie tank, so I’m voting Tanganyikan!
Aquariums are looking great 👍
So amazing thanks for sharing 🖋
Hi from Wellington, South Africa.
1st one u did can be broken down. Up to Matt,!
You need a Tanganyika set up. A tank of Cyathopharynx (featherfins) would be awesome.
I prefer the sump system for my tanks. Nice setup.
