Visiting the LARGEST aquarium store in Australia! FULL Tour of Tech Den

- Tech Den is a family owned and operated aquarium store, and is also Australia's largest retail aquarium shop in Australia. They have both a huge online store and a whopping 1200sqm2 in-person premise! In this video we head up to the Sunshine Coast to get my lids re-netted at NVS Aquariums then on our way back down to Brisbane we check out this mega store. There are 100's of fish, from discus to African Cichlids all the way to the most rainbow fish I've ever seen in an aquarium store. Plus a HUGE range of stock, including some outdoor ponds and the new reptile section they have set up.

What a well kept store. In America we have a lot of chain store pet shops and the aquariums are not always clean and often overcrowded.

I have bought quite a bit of stuff from Tech Den. They are local(ish) to my work and carry great supplies so I can usually get everything I need there for my work facility.

Simply the best aquarium store - awesome stock, great prices with amazing service. Emily has incredible knowledge and always provides the best service when I visit....It put a smile on my face from ear to ear when I stumbled across this video and found I was in it. My husband says it proves I spend far too long there...lol 🤣

This is my go to store, have known John for loñger than i can remember( im getting old)These guys are the bomb, the new shop is bloody huge , has come a long way since his first store( which is probably the size of his office space now)the only downside is they dont ship live fish, but i keep dropping hints, the staff are great , and have real knowledge as they are pretty much all fishkeepers. Ive used their online services a bit over the years and havent had any problems with stuff turning up damaged .
We need independant stores , better range,suprisingly good prices

That place looks amazing! I've just started getting into rainbows too! I love the goyder rainbow. I have the turquoise rainbow (which I think u just bought under a different name here) which is beautiful. Bosemani is my fav. Also neons are nice. The adoption tank is a great idea.

I love the variety of fish, especially the Rainbows. You realise it's quite frustrating seeing all this fish stuff and not being able to set a tank up again at the moment. Ah well, I'll live vicariously.

You definitely need to!! I didn't stop at the beaches this time, but they are certainly beautiful. I love Noosa beach too which is up near that way
@@Kaityscichlids Noosa is so nice and usually not as many people as Caloundra, whenever I've visited my sister though we go to Bribie island as it's only a few minutes drive from her house! I have videos on Maroochydoore, glass house mountains, Buderim park etc on my last visit to oz on the channel.

Have you ever looked into starting a marine tank? It's not as difficult as many people think. Especially if you have a fish only tank and maybe some invertebrates.
Can always give you some tips having both fresh and salt water myself.
Anyway keep up the great content!

I understand, so many nice types of fish and setups to chose from. You also got me into rainbows again which I now keep with Etroplus canarensis and Amatitlania sajica
I actually buy alot online from this store but it's a bit far from me to drive there regularly so I've never actually been there . Was good to see the store in the video . Enjoying the native fish videos for sure but I don't think they come close to rivalling african cichlids in colour or character tbh but they are cool
Yes I originally found them from their online store!! I'm determined to grow out my rainbows and get them to colour up as much as possible to see if I can get them to compare to my African Cichlids
@Kaity's Cichlids I just seen the video keeping fish simple posted with the adult rainbows . Wow I'm actually tempted to start one myself 🤔 I want a peacock and hap tank first and a discus tank to go with my mbuna set-up but a rainbow tank might be on the cards in the future

Hello) Cool video, very interesting, BUT try to use a POLARIZING FILTER when shooting !!! The fish are very hard to see.

Mh, don't have any such problem on my device. The volume level is perfectly fine for me...
The audio seems ok on my end too. RUclips has its own volume that's adjustable in the left hand corner of the video. Maybe check that is turned up on your device?
I wanted to say noooo to the bows....You should never mix natives with non natives unfortunately. If you do, you're just asking for mycobacterium marinum.
