So glad to see our clips helped you achieve the look you were going for! Can’t wait to see this tank when it starts to grow out! For anyone interested we provide a variety of clip sizes for different glass thicknesses! Thanks, C’n’G🌱💚
So excited that the guys shared your product, actually saw the Instagram story that Matt shared first, but then saw it here, and this year I’m looking to size up my tank with a plant out the top like this, and it’s the perfect solution! Great product 😊
The reason your plant with the holes in the leaves isn't doing very well is because that is a Monstera Adansonii - a climber, not a trailer. It normally climbs up the trunks of trees in the wild. It requires support. It has evolved to grow with "fenestrations" (holes) in the leaves so that winds go through the plant instead of pulling the plant off the trunk. 😊 Great build guys!
I honestly don't think you could do a budget build from Bunnings. It's super expensive. I do believe and aussie fish channel did one using the kmart anko starter tank though. Have a look at that?
I'd like to see him try to do something as cheap as possible. I have tanks but I legitimately cannot afford to scape them because plants are so expensive. I even looked at PetSmart and they were asking like $8 for an anubius in brown nasty water where it looked like it was rotting, and having them shipped unbelievably pricey. I would love to see how affordable they could make a full setup
You don't need to worry about puffers messing with anyone, it's the other way around. My panda garra loves chasing them around. As far as food, I feed live stuff, but as far as an easy food, they LOVE Repashy Soilent Green. I get a tiny ice cube tray and put a small lava rock in each one and then pour the gel over the whole thing. Once it solidifies you have ice cube sized food with rock in the middle so they wear down their teeth. I feed them those at least three times a week and they love it and it's really fun to watch them attack it.
@@MDFishTanks I heard mixing crushed shells in the repashy worked well but I didn't love all the crushed shells in my tank and I had some lava rocks laying around and they are easy to pull out of the tank during maintenance . Works perfectly.
I've been watching MD videos for a year or so now and its safe to say I am fully addicted to this hobby. I've found it gives me an outlet for stress and creativity and I thankyou for making videos like this to keep on inspiring me :) keep on scaping guys!

These puffers are too cute...the way they move and behave is hilarious, imo. I used to keep some figure eights way back when, and I just loved them, and honestly, so did everyone else!
Probably my favourite tank to date! (Apart from some shrimp ones) adore the pea puffers, you’re right, they act just like puppies! If you see this an idea for the plants at the back, use moss poles, they’re build exactly for that purpose
This tank ❤!!! You guys are amazing. You even got my hubby into aquariums he loves them as long as I do all the maintenance, water changes and feeding.

Tip from a guy who works in an aquarium shop, remove the mineral deposit along the top of the tank with RO water now that u have installed an RO system! It removes minerals really quickly if u use a spray bottle and a razor
It would be really cool if you did like an “ aquarium maintenance” vlog where you go over everything you have to do on a weekly/monthly bases for your tank. Feed them with us, trim the plants, video filming etc
What a lovely looking tank, love how it came out! But please put a mesh lid or something on! I've had south American puffers for 8 years. they take a long time to settle, are skittish with light changes or there are bangs. they can jump a surprisingly long way!. nobody want a crispy puffer on the floor. Ask me how I know an open tank is a bad idea..... they also benefit from soft light in terms of calming them (it's hard to tell on camara how your light is. also in captivity they often need to have there teeth trimmed. just don't want anyone to go out and buy them not knowing they are a more advanced fish. anyway get a lid keep up the good work ✌

Hey MD and Matt! Been watching you guys for almost 2 years and I've seen all your builds now. However, no mention about discus until now, hopefully past experiences dont haunt you still. i had to remove my corys, i feed the repashi and the puffers just couldnt compete with them, i have a school of embers in mine as a sort of dither fish and they just joined the school. good luck with the tank, very pretty.
Normally in the past, I bet MD would edit out lots of his goofs or what nots. But with Matt I like how the goofs and word farts stay in because they laugh at each other lol true best friends loving the work they do.
Awesome puffer tank a school of rummy nose tetras would be great option with the puffers. Possibly another variety of darker colored cories to go with the albino cories. Maybe some small plecos maybe red bristle nose plecos. Now I what a tank like that as I do like puffers so much because of their personalities, their eyes, and their swimming abilities like little helicopters. And to have a grouping like this us so great. Who knows maybe some breeding. Great way to start the new year. I am excited to see this tank mature over time. I bet this will become you favorite as it is already mine.
I absolutely love this tank, it looks fantastic. I love the puffers too, they are so cute and interesting. Thanks for the tip about the plant clips, I went and followed that guy so I can order some. Thank you so much for another great video.
Honestly my favourite channel on youtube and I eargerly wait every week for MD to drop a new video!! Also the hardscape looks like a fallen dragon bones!
Love the puffers and the build. How about doing a feature fish that is almost extinct in the wild to bring attention to it? Like Ameca splendens, it is a pretty livebearer from Mexico and one that is on the verge of extinction. Only one population of this fish remains in the wild and it is in the middle of an amusement park in Mexico
ive been using API leafzone for my houseplants and they have been thriving like never before. i put a small ammount in a gallon of water and use it once a week and its actually wild growth and healthy houseplants not even aquarium plants!
It’s not as sparse as I thought it would be with regards to plants. One day MD, you’ll manage to do a scheme with fewer plants or just some wood without bloody Java ferns or any epiphytes😉. I like the scheme and would recommend diamond tetras, they are so underrated. They look crap in the shop, but as they mature, they’re epic. Just my thoughts. Keep up the good work

Such a perfect tank for puffers, love it
Amazon puffers I have had in the past regularly jump, when spooked etc. You may need to get a reef style net cover or lower the water to 2/3 or 1/2 :]
That neon shirt is so sick! I want it haha
Great video again !! Could be fun to see both of you compete on hardscape with the small tanks on the shelf!
That "LIP AROUND THE RIM" got me too...
Another video???? Damn you're on fire! Lucky us of course!! Hope there's a shallow tank build soon
There are some gorgeous wild bettas who are going extinct due to their habitats being converted to oil palm farming.
ive been using API leafzone for my houseplants and they have been thriving like never before. i put a small ammount in a gallon of water and use it once a week and its actually wild growth and healthy houseplants not even aquarium plants!
Keep up the good work
I had a very simple planted 10 gallon tank with feeder snails that breed like crazy 100s everywhere that I used to feed the puffers.
Killed it. Amazing build, love the fish too.
Those puffers are so darn Cute ❤
I really want puffers now, i love how inquisitive they are
