@MDFishTanks Can you please do a full video on your fish tank cleaning and maintenance equipment, in particular can you show what you use to do water changes (draining out water and refilling) on a large tank (I have a 120l) and also how you clean the gravel/substrate? Thank you, it's just I've been struggling with a siphon and buckets of water which is really heavy and difficult. If there was an easier way to drain and refill a tank it would be so helpful.
The disc are like little aqua puppies having to see everything your doing and constantly getting into the way. Their curiosity is something I never thought fish were capable of having. It was also the ram acting the same way. It must come from when you feed as you put you hand into the water to disperse their food thus they see your hand in the water as an opportunity to eat thus they stay very close to it. It was funny as you had to push them back with you hand it was they were enjoying it, instead of rapidly swim away out of fear. I now understand why people get them as truly like their discus and the personal interaction with them. And the tank is truly beautiful and vibrant on a whole range of underwater aquscape. It like a slice of nature in a glass box of water.
@@MDFishTanks I love how, at the end of the video, they're all hanging in the water column after you left like they were thinking "Hey! Come back here!"
Whenever you post videos before I have class, and I get to relax while watching them it makes me day so much better! I got a nice laugh watching the Golden Ram become curious as to what you were doing in his home.
I've followed that tank from the start, and without a doubt the decision to stick it out was worth it. I absolutely love how the discus know that they are the stars of the show, and get a real chuckle each time they swoop in to steal your limelight!! 🤣
When that condensation was pouring off I was thinking my God it's so annoying isng it, my fry tank always does it, and then .... your face whilst mopping the floor said it all. Lol love it
btw! i want to do something simular hopefully in the near future (due to money and space), what do you recommend for someone getting into aquarium decorating?
That is a majestic looking tank, excellent video - loads of great tips like the stem-plant cuttings bunches not needing to be buried. Very enjoyable, great to see the discus looking so interested in everything and not skittish at all, very chill!!
I often watch RUclips on my tv. I have captions on and the sound off, so my insomnia doesn't affect my partner. YOUR content, however, I wait to view so that I can hear you. This upload is one of my favorites so far (and I have never missed one). The Discus in particular seem incredibly well adjusted to your presence. The truly beautiful environments that you create, and the obvious affection and patience you have with your fish (and Timmy!) are reflected in how they behave as you do maintenance. Calm and curious aren't how many aquarium fish generally respond to human intrusion, but yours certainly do!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 that smile while wiping up the water on the floor 🤣🤣🤣🤣 gold, worth the subscription alone 🤣🤣🤣 love your videos and tutorials bro, thankyou and keep em coming bud 🤗🌿🐠🐡❤
Oooh the drama and the buildup of suspense of the introduction 😂😁👍 Beeeeep😂😂 Absolutely lovely MD!! The discus tank is so beautiful my friend! I really appreciate videos about trimming plants!! It's always a scary thing for me at first and usually when the plants need to be trimmed .... they're at that full jungle stage that I think is awesome!! But to keep them healthy and under control it's a necessary step!! In the great words of MD... Be ruthless 💪👍🌿😄 Thank you for sharing your beautiful aquariums, the plants and the inhabitants!! You are a wonderful teacher my friend!! Hope you and your family are having a very blessed and beautiful day!!🙏🌿🐟🌿💚
After he took down the Amzon tank, this is my far most the favorite one... Tbh this Discuss tank is the ultimate Prized possession of MDs channel as far as i am concerned. Do not let it go Mate
I love your videos MD, thanks for this moment of relaxation after work. I would love to hear about the aquascaping tools you use or how often you change your lights. I would love to see more videos about your fish, I know you love your plants but more details about those is great. You did some videos at the shop and outside your studios as well, that was great ! Thanks for the entertainment ! 😌
Crazy how fast this channel has taken off, Ive enjoyed every video, from you filming in a single shed in the garden to this studio set up. Obviously Timmy's upgrades are the best vids🤣👍
MD I do not miss any of your videos and have been a long time subscriber of your channel you were actually still in your shed in garden when I found you each time I watch one I am even more astounded by how absolutely beautiful your work is I myself do not have live plants although I do have a couple soaking plants that come out of the top like traveling Ives I don't plant any in my fish tanks I'm afraid that I'm gonna kill something and that would just break my heart but I watch yours in the hopes of some day I will get the courage to start using live plants I love your channel I love your tanks and I'm so glad I found you and was able to subscribe congratulations on another stunner
I CANT wait for my MD Fishtanks sweatshirt to get here. When I start shopping for a home, I will definitely have an eye out for a "fish/shrimp" room. (Shrimp were my first love)
Thank you for walking us through your system for water changes!!! So helpful, and very much appreciated sharing that with us. Also, still laughing over the super drama filled intro 😂🤣😂
Awesome from start to finish MD , I had to stop buying stones etc. , just like you said rather have all my trimmings filling in the space than tossing healthy stems in the trash. Rocks do help in many ways but unless they are up front or structural ⏳ then they need to get .. çreating a lush layout covering the entire background is also better for the water quality , line of sight ...thanks for making non stop content and these inspirational systems have been a treat to watch over the last 2 years !
I know how hard it is for you to trim up those beautiful tanks but I’m proud of you MD hahaha, it’s going to look great in no time!!! Loved this video! the edit and VO was really great!
Oh my god! The chills I got in the beginning 🤣 Man oh man this an amazing video Really interesting and hope to see this tank evolve. But you did say that you had Cory eggs on the leaves so what about those?
Absolutley amazing and impressive video!!! At the beginning I was like "wooow".. and then it was you wiping the floor in slow motion and i just started laughing hysterically 😂 had to watch it again lol.. BEAUTIFUL tank!
I think you would like a sump, perfect for extra trimmings that will in the end help with nutrients. Could also be used a hospital tank or maybe just a holding tank for agressive fish. Lol you don't keep agressive fish but that's ok 🤣. I've never had a sump but I do want to try one sump day . . . . 😂 My jokes are terrible sorry 😐
That plant grow out tank is the perfect place to dump any corydoras eggs you find. I hate canister filters, not fun when you have a bad back. I much prefer sumps. So much cheaper than one of those oase filters too. spare old scratched up 55gallon, a pump, some foam, lava rock - done...and can hide the heaters in there too.
Hy, MD I love your way of presenting everything and I even did a scape after you so thank you for that but I need some help if you can leave a link for what you use to clean the inside of tank…tried a few but not happy especially with the magnet ones. Would really appreciate if you can let me know. Respect and keep up the good work. Thank you
Amazing tank! What is the schedule fertilizer routine for this tank? Maybe you can do a video with the fertilizer routine for you "main" tanks. Keep up the good work
I'm still amazed how u grow all these without co2. I'm running co2 and your plant growth look than mine. You should do a video abt lights you use. I upgraded once but I think I'm still missing the proper light for rotala htra red. I will try yours before I waste more on high end stuffs.

I love how big and nosy the discus are it's so funny seeing you push them away. And the golden ram really liked that rotala, so cute
Not Only Your Aquascapes but your video Quality, Music Choice and Cinematics are Awesome Too

🤣 dying when you were wiping up the water on the floor. When I saw it all dripping, I couldn't help but think of how much was going on the floor.
I can't get over how absolutely brilliant this tank looks, not to mention the fish. Just wow. Can't wait to have a tank like this in the future.

Hhaha almost enjoy the overgrown look more. But I know it needs the trimming to look nice for a long time!
Not only is this tank awesome the editing on this is too. This video washed away my stress for today. 👍😄
The dramatic intro. The suspense. 🍿
BRAVO on the quality of this video!!! Hypnotic! Thanks for sharing with us!
Discus interrupting the shot had me 😂 But MD on hands and knees cleaning the floor just did me in 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Your videos always encourage me to do regular water changes. I use those magnetic glass cleaners. Work great 👍😀
Anybody start cracking up 56 seconds in? 🤣 Just a happy man and his craft.
I laughed SO loud, hahahaha... THANK YOU! 🤣

Hi, what temperature do you have the discus tank at? Thank you!
28c my friend
This is a very surprising channel to see here
Whaaattt , no way airsoft gi 😂 crazy . Guess we all love fish tanks
I love all your tanks! Just In awe of them all, thank you for your videos and sharing your knowledge . Beautifully brilliant tank!
I absolutely love ypur discus set up. When i saw u clean the sponges my first thought was, damn, good plant food there.
I'm very intrigued by your style of planted tanks and choices of fishkeeping. Awesome job, btw, and keep up the great content! Love what you do!
My favorite tank outta all the ones you have setup!
Great tank, plants and fishes. And a very sympatic english. Best wishes from Barcelona👍👍👍
Maybe you should keep a few small crayfish to use as lawnmowers for overgrown aquariums! Or just feed them the clippings and cuttings.
Love your discus tank. Also, fantastic editing. Long time fan!
I know how hard it is for you to trim up those beautiful tanks but I’m proud of you MD hahaha, it’s going to look great in no time!!! Loved this video! the edit and VO was really great!
Pushing discus away with hand was so funny that i LOL myself hard :D
Super quality, extra content!
Well done.
The tanks looks amazing as always! Love the edit! Best ever so far I think, especially the intro 😆! Thanks for all the inspiration MD!
Oh my god! The chills I got in the beginning 🤣
Man oh man this an amazing video
Really interesting and hope to see this tank evolve.
But you did say that you had Cory eggs on the leaves so what about those?
I think they were gone after the business trip :P
Your Discus tank is just awesome! Such a beautiful tank. 🐠🐠🐠🐟🐟🐟🐟
Ooowh, nice content MD. Well produced!
These videos are on fire 🔥 md that Music at the start was epic
thanks mate :)
Absolutley amazing and impressive video!!! At the beginning I was like "wooow".. and then it was you wiping the floor in slow motion and i just started laughing hysterically 😂 had to watch it again lol.. BEAUTIFUL tank!
The tank and fish look AMAZING! I'm so jealous 😫
After this intro I was expecting explosion or something like that. But in the end I wasn't disappointed with the video ;)
Wow the intro to this video is epic
Wonderful video once again! Great watch during my work break
Beautiful Aquarium! 👍👍
awesome! thanks for the tips on dealing with cyano. really helps!
Great video MD thank you for making them
I absolutely love this style of video!
I watch what you make everyday. you are so funny you make me laugh ... ty
You could make the background black of the discus tank, that would look awsome i think. never the less great tank
Hey MD you should do a video about what products you use in each of your fish tanks!
I likes this edit on this video mate. Lovely job 👍
Learned a lot ty. Great tutorial as usual.
I wanna se like a vlog day of just maintenance on all the tanks 🤩
Stunning MD
That plant grow out tank is the perfect place to dump any corydoras eggs you find. I hate canister filters, not fun when you have a bad back. I much prefer sumps. Somehow I got fresh water limpits and they make short work of green spot algae and maybe they even put a small dint in my bba problem.
Great video 👍👍
I like your new narrating you sound like Rick stein talking over on one of his cooking shows 👍
so cool vid! keep up the good work!
Thank you
Wiping the floor in the beginning…. Hahahahahaha that killed me lol.
Keep doing what u do MD, we love ur content ❤️
i have one question. I was told that flake food for fish is like we eat a biscuit, so why do you choose to feed flakes instead of a granulate?
വളരെ നന്നായി ചെയ്തിരിക്ക്കുന്നു 👌👌👌❣
While that golden ram really like that red plant it looks stunning next to it
Loved the intro 👍👌
Amazing tank! What is the schedule fertilizer routine for this tank? Maybe you can do a video with the fertilizer routine for you "main" tanks. Keep up the good work
I’m the same with the plants lad 😅 can’t throw any trim away 🙈
it was so funny when after all these cinematic clips MD was wiping the floor
Oh I remember that rock, but then you planted stuff in front of it after initial setup I believe haha 😛
Espectacular tu acuario, cada cuánto haces cambio de agua, saludos desde Bogotá Colombia.
Thanks MD gotta do some maintenance on me tanks this week and hopefully set up my new guppy tank cheers
Omg one of your Discus looks like Abraham (Abb) on The Hell Boy movie, Thank you for the video!
You need to keep Scarlet Gem Badis for some of your nano tanks! Most beautiful nano predatory fish in the hobby
Beautiful buddy
Whahaha, that intro! Brilliant!
I'm still amazed how u grow all these without co2. I'm running co2 and your plant growth look than mine. You should do a video abt lights you use. I upgraded once but I think I'm still missing the proper light for rotala htra red. I will try yours before I waste more on high end stuffs.
That compacta being so big in the front gives your tank alot of depth ' you should do that with your hardscape as well
Your The best!
Great video md
Cooler water changes will get your corys to spawn. They love it
Hey MD, nice video as always. But how do you manage their poops?
Good idea could be to show people building planted tanks how to avoid areas where either uneaten food or fish poo could congregate. For me I got a tank with a circular flow and I still get areas where it doesn't get picked up by the filter.
What are you dosing in there and what light is that. Its a beautiful setup
Award winning intro :)
