    I know exactly how you feel I'm trying to grow some flowers and it's just not enough sun. It's really bumming me out. I don't have a balcony. I just have a window and because the windows are tinted. It's really hard to get direct bright sunlight in there. I'm just thinking about now getting window boxes. It's my best bet. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden and your pups are so darling. I have 2 puppies myself well they're not puppies anymore. They're quite grown 17 years old that's me. And one is twelve and his name is josky

      Thank you so much!! I don’t get much sun in the balcony either.. only morning sun, but I’m hoping that is enough.. we’ll see…
      If a window box is an option, I think you should def try it! I lived in an apt with no balcony before, and that’s what I did..
      pet your pups for me ❤️🐾

    Thank you for another beautiful, relaxing video.... they always appear when I need them the most! Yellow leaves can sometimes be a sign of lack of nutrients so maybe a liquid feed when you water them might help.

      Yes, I just got a fertilizer.. I wasn’t sure if it was too early to fertilize seedlings but now I know it’s time!

    Gorgeous balcony garden! I think, that the cucumbers will make it, because their top leaves look green and healthy. Wish you luck! And I am waiting for the update! Much love XX

    Mushrooms are a sign of too much wetness. Definitely, I am agreeing with you about not enough sun. Your pups are so cute!

      @@slowlifestories I think more sun, less water. I deck garden as well, it can be difficult because it’s such a small space and the sun gets blocked from the walls of our apartment.

    Does anyone else hate thinning seedlings too? I always feel so bad. I know it must be done… but still, I hate it. If they are edible I will always eat the sprouts so I don’t feel so bad about thinning them. 😂

    • @slowlifestories
      @slowlifestories  Год назад

      Yesss, I feel the same way!! I hate doing it but like you, it makes me feel better knowing that a lot of them are edible.. sprinkling them on a salad, sandwich or anything else makes me feel a lot better.. plus sprouts and microgreens are healthy for you! 😊

      Do you can just divide them and re-potted it on another place. Most of them survive.

    Love it! I am looking forward to part 3. I’m now getting little pests eating away at my plants 😭 i didn’t take into consideration the importance of flowers for pollinators as well as pest control, so i’ll be getting some this weekend

    • @slowlifestories
      @slowlifestories  Год назад +1

      Hii!! Yes, pests are almost unavoidable, especially if you’re trying to grow organic.. I haven’t seen any here yet, but I know it’s only a matter of time 😏 you have to be on top of it before they spread.. I learned from a local farmer that they only use dish-soap and water and it kills most pests in minutes..

    • @uhlyssuhx
      @uhlyssuhx Год назад

      @@slowlifestories i have such a complex because i don’t want to kill anything but then i can’t have them eating my plants 😂 i am weary about dish soap but its seems to be one of the “cleanest” options

    • @slowlifestories
      @slowlifestories  Год назад +1

      @@uhlyssuhx aww I know.. I don’t want to kill them either, I don’t even eat animals (only fish occasionally). but your plants won’t survive otherwise 😏 there are some herbs that are pest repellant and you can plant them near other plants in an attempt to keep pests away.. it’s not 100% effective but it helps!

    Your planter looks great but you need a permeable layer on the bottom, even on a balcony.

      Yes, we actually do have holes in the raised bed and the black bag, I just forgot to film it.. we also put some cardboard boxes and a few small logs before adding the soil… thanks so much for watching!! ❤️❤️
