I’m a 97% iPad Pro user. I still have an M1 Mac and always lust after the newer Macs but end up reminding myself how little I actually use the Mac. Thanks as always for your great content.
The feature to route sound back to the iPad is great. I can’t wait until Parallels becomes one of the “pro apps” that runs on the iPad Pro. Just a little fantasy of mine.
Ever since I added a keyboard and trackpad I have been using my iPad pro much more as my main computing device. Most of my time is spent in Safari and having the ability to use both a traditional pointer and the touch screen has been great
The ability to change audio outputs is indeed a game-changer...it's the biggest thing that has kept me from using my iPad with my desktop setup on occasion. Now give us the ability for a Magic Trackpad to sync up to a Mac AND and an iPad interchangeably, and that would truly get my iPad on my desk more often.
@@justadummy3723 I'm not looking to run my Mac and iPad at the same time...I'd like to hook my iPad up to my docking station when my MacBook Air is packed away or being used for other purposes. As it stands right now, the Magic Trackpad is only usable by my Air...the iPad won't recognize it unless I unsync it from the Air. Would be nice if Apple allowed it to be used by both a computer and an iPad at separate times.
Hello, I think if you purchase logitech mouse and keyboard you could be able to connect 3 devices simultaneously at the same time. I'm not sure if you are aware hoping that helps with your problem!
It’s nice to see someone like you doing videos about the iPad and the iOS or the iPad. Not many there. Does it enough in relations to what the iPad can do? Thanks again have a great day
Nice video. Thanks. Do yourself a favor, count how many times you use the word “actual” or “actually”… I think you may find it’s more than you may imagine it is. Have a nice day.
Super stoked. Now all I need is two more apps at least while using stage manager (instead of 4 make it 6) at a minimum and it will make my experience in iPad a lot more usable
When I upgrade to the M3 IPad Pro next year that will be my main computing device. I am going to be getting a smart monitor so I can airplay to that with the IPad and have a Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard. We'll see if the audio thing works good or I just end up using my Bluetooth headphones for my audio needs.
Thank you for letting us know. This is great. I like the way Apple adds so many of the ‘little’ features silently and lets you discover them. Always a nice feeling. 😊😊
Hi and thanks for the video! I’ve been using exclusively an iPad for more than 10 years now (first an iPad 2, then an iPad Pro 10.5”, then the iPad Pro 11” 2018and now the iPad Pro M2 11” this year). As an earlier adopter I have seen many versions of iOS now iPad OS. I am a Professional Photographer and Filmmaker Based in Panamá and I make my living shooting Real Estate Photos and Videos, editing with LRM, Affinity Photo and Designer and DaVinci Resolve. Sometimes I have been too close to which again to a MacBook Pro but I refuse, I love iPad form factor. The ability to choose the audio source is a welcome feature but I think the best is yet to come and it is the ability to control the volume of the monitor itself so I can plug my speakers to the monitor and solve a huge issue which is that I do not use the iPad speakers when at home and every time I plug my iPad to the dongle I have to unplug and plug the speakers to be recognize by iPad OS (which should be solved as well) so, I rather plug the speakers to the monitor and control the volume from my keyboard. Bests regards from a Venezuelan follower in Panama!
I get ya. I’m a software developer and I went all in on the M1 Pro only life (Magic Keyboard too) when the device first came out. I do use the device to remote into a server to write code and use excel, but I use the iPad for everything else, even my voip phone. It’s superb!
@@JoeCole_social Nice! Good to know I am not the only crazy here LOL. We are very close, besides the missing audio feature, I do not ask too much: we should be able to format external drives, calibrate external monitor and a couple of other things that are a matter of software, just that
I’m with you there, running with my Apple Watch only is why I went from Spotify to Apple Music a few years back… with the lossless addition I never looked back.
Audio output options finally! I tried to use my iPad Pro as my main computer to try it out just couple of weeks ago, this lack of feature turned me off. Now I'm actually going to try it!
I have an Ipad air 3 256gb. Ipados 17.1 gets stucked on update request. I already deleted the OS update, rebooted my system, but still can download and install Ipad OS 17.1
That wallpaper blurring on top, its not generating more like flipping the aallpaper and blurring, and the volume animation both are already on 17.0 and not new on 17.1
Thanks for your great content. I would love to see from Apple the ability of using Apple TV with an iPad but use it as an external display not as clone display. That will be so cool when that happened. Hopefully will happen with the next OS. Have a great day thanks for your content again.
Oh come on 9to5Mac, you're so much better than a clickbait title backed up with barely structured rambling. The title of this video says it's about "the feature." That comes across as one headline feature, not a list of nice-to-haves, and it ought to be easy to find, either right up front or at least as a chapter marker. I can't 👎 this video enough!
At last! Been waiting to select studio some iPad Pro 2015! Most of my home setups have usb speakers now but this will be great for on the go. Increasingly can live my mainly iPad as a computer dream.
It annoys me so badly that i can’t set a personal photo as my lock screen, and then the “live earth” as my home screen. Such a weird omission/potential bug. I actually emailed tim cook about this…

Love this! Please don’t make the iPad a Mac. The iPad OS is why I love it. All I need is full web browser extension support and this would be perfect. I’ve used the same machine as a thin client for years now and it’s just amazing.

First, thank you for an informative video! My person computer is an M1 iPadPro to which I use for 95% of my daily. The new audio feature is nice. Thanks, Fernando. Love the wallpaper. Can you share?
It also made it so you can use a dual sense controller wired while still having sound (before ipados would try to route sound through the controller)
Found the audio feature the other day best thing they added
A new drinking game: take a shot every time he says actual or actually. What in the world?
New alcohol poisoning game
