Finally someone that knows how to dial in an amp without any delay or reverb wanking on a bunch of lead solos the whole time. Great job. Great classic rock tones, this is the best demo for the BE 100 deluxe yet.
Yup he goes through different styles and tunes and dynamics. I love Greg Koch but he plays the same wankery through the same amp his Koch sig for all his guitar demos and imo it doesnt do high gain well at all. Plus he just noodles while Jack flows with thoughtfulness.
Been saying Jacks a phenomenal player for some time now. Cmon Jack wots your guitar back story ? Need a video on your story. Also, these videos should have 10 times more views in relation to quality of presentation and playing. I need to pop down from Northants to pay Peach a visit soon.
Great demo, man! One of the best yet. And the amp sounds even more Plexi-ish than Dave's other builds. Kinda seems like this is "the amp Dave always wanted to build", if that makes sense... So complete and massive... Cheers
I had a Small Box 50 and a Dirty Shirley 40, bought the BE 100 Deluxe and am blown away. For anyone wondering it basically does everything the Small Box does plus tons of more modern sounds and heavier tones. I kept the Dirty Shirley 40 half stack becuase that amp really is kind of it's own thing. I'm sure I could coax those tones out of the BE 100 Deluxe but I just love my DS40 half stack. I know in many countries the BE 100 Deluxe is crazy expensive, here in the states it's not cheap but it's actually the same price as the Marshall 1959HW so it was really no contest for me. The BE 100 Deluxe really is an end game amp for me.
Is it me or does this amp sound even more Marshally than his older models? I love it. This might be my fav Friedman. Or maybe it's just Jack's playing and hands? He also made me want to by the Dr. Z Maz 18 NR that he was using in demo's for awhile. Man that was a great sounding amp.
The SS100 was the first amp from friedman featuring american clean with british crunch in 2013 years before the be50 deluxe or even the be100, which was somewhat voxish.
The second-best part of this review (besides Jack's playing)? Jack is actually using a cabinet, not an Ox Box or IR or whatever. You're hearing the amp, not some squishy, compressed IR.
Is this the ultimate classic rock and metal amp? Think so. Expensive as hell but probably all you'll ever need. Jack's playing is so versatile and shows this amp off so well.
Honestly, Dave should have stopped at the BE-50 (which at the time, he said was the best amp he's ever made, and I agree because I don't see how anyone could have wanted more than what he did with that amp!!) He went too raw with the BE-100 deluxe and hence you don't hear any demos doing ACDC (and I've asked for that in a demo), even with the plexi mode. Again as you pointed out, it is more into Mesa territory with the new rawness of this amp but at thrice the price! Give it a f***ing rest Dave. All your other amps are valid. This was overkill.
@@JayRoc17 Perhaps you have a point, but speaking from personal perspective, the BE 100 Deluxe is exactly the reason I started turning towards Friedman amps. It sounds just wow, and the amount of customization available that you can achieve is just insane. I am seriously considering it, and I know it's pricey. It has to be the very first amp in a long while that has inspired me to play differently. Cheers!
Hahahahahahahaha....i cant believe i finally did it and bit the bullet on a Friedman. I just got one the other day. Its a beast for sure. I love love love the plexi channel. I played the smallbox 50 and be 50 deluxe as well. Love the smallbox but decided to go for the big boy with all the Friedman fixins. $4k worth of them. I was kicking myself for spending that much but the more i play it the less i regret it.
@@tomulator the 50 deluxe was rounder, less aggressive than the 100 maybe nicer for lead playing but the main reason i went for the 100 is because the 50 doesnt have the plexi channel, only a clean channel. I would have bought the 50 if it were not for that.
Ute Castronoova it took me a lot of saving up and trading up but I moved my way up to the SB limited and it has ended my search for amps. So in the the end it’s saving me money. At least saving money on amps. Still have gear addiction.
@@1981SG N Stuff Music have demoed it with the UA OX amp box, and it sounded killer, so yeah with proper tools you can definitely play it at home, I know I intend to :)
Damn! What sound these Freidman amps produce. They KICK Marshalls's arse at their own game! Great amps built here in California for the world! We know of their greatness but the only negative is the mid $2000's-$3000's price tag!! TOO damn expensive! One day I'll have one! Jack, another great post!

who agrees that Jack is the best guitar demo dude on youtube right now?
He's great...up there with Pete Thorn & Shawn Tubbs.
@@Sir_Dickbag I like the tones he gets out of the amps better than anyone. He's the only one that makes me want to buy the amps.

This combination of this amp and Les Paul is amazing
Clean/Plexi: 7:35
Clean/Plexi + OD (Tumnus): 9:02
BE: 10:21
HBE: 12:20
Your the best!!!
Holy Hell, that was the best sounding amp demo I’ve ever heard. The playing was absolute fire too. Awesome job.

It is. I just bought one. Its got all the bells and whistles. The harmonics and dynamics are sick.

Killer playing from Jack & awesome tones from Friedman - love it! ;)
i have the BE100,fantastic amp and super articulate tone
Love the fact that a King of Tone has been watching me all along this demo

How does the amp sound on low volume ? Is it possible to play this one just at home?
Thanks!

I wish Dave would make a buxom betty reverb and trem box... that would be a dream setup!
I have the small box 50 but I must have the friedman Delux 100 it's a must have
Does this amp sound that trebly in person or is it RUclips?
If I want a Marshall Plexi/Slash-Appetite sound, will this Friedman deliver that? thanks.
This is the higher echelon of amplification
Is this playing through the matching closed back 2x12 with Vintage 30s?
Which Friedman cabinet are you playing through?

He’s amazing! But have to give a nod to Doug Rappoport. Not exactly a demo guy but he creates magic with whatever he touches!
Doug is the MAN!
LesPaul Custom... 😍😍
Nikoo033 🤤
Was this through a 2 by 12 or a 4 by 12?
What kind of speakers? Thanks
Does anyone else hear the riff from Neil Young’s Powderfinger, at the start of this video?
Nothing like a plexi style amp with a Les Paul

that guitar, that amp, that short jean...............ooohhh yeahhh

Meastro Fuzz and not the hair on his head

Why you looking at his shorts? Just saying
