It’s insane how ppl really just want to hate the mentally ill so much. I’m an 06 kid and I’m glad I grew up w more open conversations about it but even then I had a HUGE period of denial over my own diagnoses. The moral panic fads that lead older generations to believe something is MAKING kids hurt or ki11 themselves is so frustrating, “misery loves company” is a classic expression and hearing things you’ve dealt with in artful lyrical form is exactly that.
