the reason it was built like that was to keep the vc/former strait . by adding the second set of spiders it makes the it impossable for the former to lean side to side.

Mine looks almost exactly like this but it doesn't have the dual basket design. I got some recone parts and im buying the glue soon.
Hey Patrick had to watch this very informative video on break down and rebuild after reading “Let’s Talk About Power! (Part 1)” great read as well👍! So I have a question regarding your adhesion method @22:15 where you refer to using epoxy over CA glue because of the crystals it creates after 5-6 months causing it to tear through the spider. Is this still your method today? I’m only asking because I watched your video on today’s podcast and you were prepping coils gluing the spider to former with only CA glue. I know certain processes change over time and presumably for different materials available. As always thank you for your time and knowledge you’ve given to us so freely to be able to educate us and feed our family’s ♥️💪
Good catch. That is still correct. In the case of the SD's I did today, the epoxy will cover the CA and the crystals at the same time.
I honestly thought this was the case, I just didn’t want to get ahead of the process and wanted your confirmation on this. Again great content and as always thank you. From each video I gain more knowledge and get closer to choosing the woofer from you that will suit my needs ♥️💪💯
