@@Trombi01 In principle it's not a terrible plan. Blur Studio are pretty good at mid tier CGI. They did three of the shorts in Love Death & Robots, they did the CG for the Deadpool movie and on some MCU stuff. (Deadpool director Tim Miller was one of the founders of the studio). They're a legit CG animation studio. The horrors that are about to unfold are not necessarily because of them, they're just doing their jobs.

9:15: I do think that "develop until schedule, as opposed to when good" thing is changing, though. The next game is supposedly aiming for 2021, the 30th anniversary. If it's the same team as Sonic Forces, that's still 4 years, but I doubt it's even the same team. But let's say this: Sonic Team, after Generations, had one team creating the Hedgehog Engine 2 (2011-2015) and another team on new games. That other team produced Lost World before the engine was complete, and both teams had to wait until Engine 2 was complete to start their next game. Team 2 was tasked to show off something for that 25th anniversary event, while Team 1 was tasked with making something...else...in the background. 30th Anniversary? Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 Remake. Why would that take 6 years, since that's a long time for a game? Well, the Adventure games were/are monstrously ambitious. They're basically a Sonic take on an Avengers or Justice League game, and the original games kind of need to be remade more in line with the RE2make than the Crash or Spyro up-res jobs. But, I can hear you ask, what if they cut every character except for Sonic and, in the sequel, Shadow? That wouldn't take 6 years. THAT? Almost certainly would have been out last year. But having to re-think Tails, E-102/Sequel Tails/Sequel Eggman, Knuckles, Amy and Rouge? (Yes, I still wager they just cut their losses on Big the Cat.) That's, at least, a 6 year project.
Heyyyy, we’re finally back to the ol’ animation series! I missed this tbh. Seeing bad Sonic games is its own kind of fun. At least for me. Good luck, Dan.

Heyyyy, we’re finally back to the ol’ animation series! I missed this tbh. Seeing bad Sonic games is its own kind of fun. At least for me. Good luck, Dan.
That opening cutscene has to be one of the strangest thematic mashups I have ever seen.
7:50 I think you’re right but it’s hard to be sure. I think the game in question is “Fifth Phantom Saga”. Look it up, it’s an odd one, an FPS with gravity gun ish mechanics made by Sonic Team.
10:01 YO WE TOTALLY SAID LOADING AT THE SAME TIME WITH EXACT SAME TONE. THE SYNERGY

Dan: “And I said, ‘we’ll be ok.’ You know, like a liar.”
Am i the only one annoyed that Dan left that single ring after he did the light dash?
Oh yes, I was waiting for this
Oh God, everyone's been playing '06 lately. Good thing I'm prepared lol
I am torn. On the one hand, I love the Playfriends, and try to be as supportive of everyone as I can... on the other hand, I cannot deny that I gave a cackle of shadenfreudic glee when I saw Dan was putting himself through this mess. There's something so bizarrely compelling about all footage of this game.
That thumbnail.
Oh no.
Shoes are my only choice of closing... sometimes gloves. going through a scarf phase now
XD XD XD
i found out how long you are at least going to be in loading screens 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 47 seconds if you finish this game
I just wanted to say it was a pleasure to know your sanity and that its bravery in taking on this suicide mission will be remembered.
I still gotta wrap up the Dream Drop Finale, but I could not resist watching this before. :D

Though if you also want to play the damsel in distress card you do also kind of need some time to build up chemistry.
07:52 that’s exactly what haplened sega canceled a rpg and united it with sonic 06 and is if that’s not enough halfway through development half of the development team got split for making a wii port of 06 which became secret rings
My god that Banjo music works so well for the loading screens.
This is the quality content I subscribed for! I look forward to see you embrace the beautiful disaster this game is. Godspeed, Dan. Godspeed.
Oh boy, oh boy... the stories I've heard about this game. Can't wait.
WOW! Until watching this video, I didn't think I was able to get motion sick. That camera! Oye!
10 minutes in, 2 minutes of gameplay. Just how I like my games.
Love that you’re doing this
I know the sonic x princess thing weirded people out but the opening to 06 is still one of the coolest I've seen to this day.
