A lot of horrible stupid decisions from the leadership on that op. Everyone needs to do more research on this story. A lot of lies .
Maybe leadership shouldn’t be sending cowards into battle. Usually leads to many good soldiers getting killed as a result. This is example A

The people involved in the rescue operation don’t know anything about the actual fight, the only people to know the real truth is the 4 navy seals. We won’t ever know if everything Marcus says is 100% true.
I heard them say Gulab will be on the show soon and I didn’t know if he meant Muhammad Gulab, they didn’t answer my question in the live chat because I didn’t give the bastards money 😂

On their last live, Brent said things had changed and Gulab backed out until he can get family out of Afghanistan for fear of retribution

To even say that Luttrell is "stretching the truth" is an insane understatement.
That much I know without a doubt. The only thing I wonder about is if he was possibly pressured to give a different "official" narrative by higher ups so the SEALs didn't look terrible. That's the best I can give him.
The Marines had already planned Red Wings and had already successfully nabbed multiple mid-high level targets by that point, for whatever reason SEALs ended up poaching it from them and they were switched to QRF. It made zero sense to give that mission to four SEALs, honestly. Especially when (If I remember correctly) those guys had never even done recon in Afghanistan prior to RW.
Ended up getting a lot of guys from the 160th killed too, even though this should've been a totally routine mission.
The whole situation is strange and bizzare in terms of OPs of that nature. They were literally inserted within a few hundred meters of the objective, which is absolutely insane. They did do several false inserts leading up to the OP but that just raised a huge red flag that said "There's definitely going to be an operation happening soon, heads on swivels.".
I've never been able to understand the logic behind that whole debacle. Same for Neptune Spear; but at least that made some amount of sense because I've heard those CAG guys say they refused it due to lack of actual, tangible intel regarding the OP. Always seemed weird that the SEALs had that one too, which has lead to nothing but controversy and "he said" BS in regards to certain people wanting to take credit.

You know, up and till a few years ago (when I discovered this Podcast) anytime someone mentioned Joe Rogan I'd always say in the back of my head "that guy from Fear Factor?". Little did I know just how amazing of a person Joe Rogan really is! Props Mr. Rogan your an awesome 1 of a kind character I have come to love because of this show/Podcast. Thanks for the great content, without your hard work and dedication no of this would be possible.
To Mr. Luttrell, Thank you so much for your service. Your sacrifices have not been in vein! As former military myself I still always thank others for their service as well and I can only imagine the hardships you Tier 1 operators go through. Thanks for keeping us all safe back home and away from the evils of this World.

Who cares if some of the details are not true. All that matters to me (Afghan combat veteran) is that Marcus put most of the spotlight on his brothers that were killed. I love that he got their story out to the public. He makes sure everyone knows they're heroes. Anyone that is taking shots at him but hasn't served needs to stfu and be grateful for the security and freedoms he helped give you
Oh, stfu. I also served in Afghan and neither that nor Iraq did a single thing to preserve our freedom and security. It radically undermined it, if anything. Look what happened to Assange simply for showing proof of what was happening over there, and the new laws they brought in to stop that. Look at the rise of ISIS and extremism around the world as a consequence of our actions. Look at how our special forces reputations from Aus, UK and US were destroyed by their own actions in murdering civilians. And now bozos like this guy make a fortune from lying to everyone because he agreed to put the spotlight on 'liberal media'. The story was propaganda because they need the next generation of naive young men to die for big business and Israeli interests.

At the end of the day Marcus is still a veteran. I believe he stayed with his brothers for as long as he could until it was legitimately stacked against them. Then maybe he did run because he knew death was coming, he was on the verge of death. He witnessed Danny and Mike die and the only other person alive was Axe who had a gsw to the head along with all of his other injuries. Hollywood exaggerated the living shit out of that movie, no doubt. However, just because the movie isn’t the same as what actually happened, that doesn’t make Marcus not a hero and not a veteran and most of all not a human who went through what he did. Rest in peace to all the men who died that day. Each and every one of them were heroes.

Marcus abandoned his team to save his own butt. Taliban footage shows around 15 militants laid an ambush on the team. You can hear LT Murphy screaming
"Marcus get the f#$k back here" just seconds later Murphy is ended. Marcus was found with nearly full mags, he never lost his rifle because he never used it. He ran and ran until he couldn't run anymore.
He told the Ranger QRF that he had visually seen his entire team die. This turned the rescue mission into a recovery mission. So rather than haste being made to find the others they instead slowly combed the mountain. When they found the last team member 10 days later, they discovered he had only been passed less than 24 hours

Gulab was there, stated it was all bullshit and got screwed over by Luttrell for it. The 10th mountain guys were there that rescued Luttrell from the village and several have said it's bullshit. The analysis team that went in afterward was there and said there was no evidence of any Afghan dead, MUCH lower numbers of total fighters than Luttrells bullshit story, AND the Axelson lived for days afterward and could have been rescued if Luttrell would have told the truth about running off when his team was still alive. So do some research. Many first hand accounts. But you believe the one guy that is out making money off speaking gigs and movies. You can believe Lutrell and listen to the truth or you can cover your ears and close your eyes.
I don’t know if this makes him a fraud - but watch the ‘CBS Mornings’ interview with Marcus on RUclips called: "Lone Survivor" SEAL recounts deadly battle.
In it Marcus says he put down his gun & covers his ears while is friend was calling his name. It’s not clear to me whether he was able to get to his friend or not, but it’s interesting. He calls himself a coward in that interview. Maybe just survivors guilt or maybe he ran.

Hard to stay in a group, when the enemy is firing on you, got to move out the danger zone. Being on a mountain makes it hard to retreat due to terrain. Very easy to get separated. With that said idk what happened there and I can't say he is lying. He was on that mountain, that's a fact. To be there in the first place is respectable.
