Okay friends, what do I need to know about living in Minneapolis compared to Chicagoland? Restaurants, cities, attractions, lifestyle? Tell me ALL of it!
You will LOVE Minneapolis! It's Chicago but with the ability to easily drive your car around. And the ability to avoid being outside in the winter because of all the enclosed walk-ways and tunnels. I lived there for 3 years (a long time ago) and I still miss it. I'm so jealous!!
It's like small Chicago! And MN nice is a thing! I live about 2 hours away but drive up frequently! You probably drove through Rochester which is the main city closest to my small town!
I love downtown Minneapolis because it so down to earth the people are so friendly
Downtown Chicago people are so snobby and cranky they frown up at you when you speak to them. some of the people act like there gangsters.
Chicago has much better quality Restaurants than Minneapolis!!! Strangely native Minneapolis people don't know how to cook there food. Chicago is a food & Restaurant city.
You will love Minnesota! It’s a great place to live. Lots to see and do, theaters, museums, zoos, great food, etc. the winters are not great, but you’re used to cold weather, so you will acclimate quickly. Welcome!

Welcome to Minneapolis, Brianna, Erik & Gracie! Your temporary housing is super cute & seems like an efficient use of space. I’m excited about your new home 🏡 you guys are purchasing and look forward to seeing you in your new surroundings. Moving is stressful, but with God’s help, you’re handling it well...chaos & all. It was beautiful that your worship team/friends at your Chicago church sent you two off by praying over you. Welcome to Minnesota!!!! You should definitely check out Stillwater, White Bear Lake, Duluth, go to the Mall of America, the science museum, check out Dinky Town, visit one of our abundance of lakes, etc....
For Grocery Stores we have Trader Joe’s, ALDI, Cub Foods and you should definitely check out Kowalski’s Markets. There are two in Minneapolis and the surrounding areas.
There are tons of stuff to do and see and you are here in time for the great Minnesota get together!! ( the MN state fair) August 22nd -September 2nd. Soooooo fun!!!!

Hang in there! We used to live in Minneapolis but moved last year to my hometown St Louis. Minneapolis is great! Winters are long and cold 😩 get on the lakes in the summer. That’s the best. My favorite food places are: World Street Kitchen in Uptown, Milk Jam Creamery and Quang. I will say the food scene is a lot better now in Minneapolis than when I moved there in 2010. Congrats!!

I moved here from MO 5 years ago. I despise the winters but love everything else. You must have a cheat day and enjoy all the favorites at the state fair! I would love to meet up sometime. I live about 30 from Minneapolis.

Diva and the Divine check out the Bachelor Farmer or Butcher and the Boar for great date night places! Zelo has amazing Italian food :) The Red Cow has the most amazing burgers and appetizers. The Red Rabbit and Freehouse are great places for happy hour too.
There is a pretty decent theater scene too! :)

I am starting to relax for sure. Things are happening, decisions are being made, and soon (fingers crossed) we will be settling in to our new lives here.

I used to live in Minneapolis I went to school up there for dental assisting loved it! there’s lots to do up there, only thing I didn’t like was the winters but then I live in Iowa and I don’t like our winters either🥶🥶🥶🥶God’s blessings on your future and your new adventures🥰
