I remember watching your first apartment tour when you found this beautiful gem of a home - I love seeing what you’ve made of it! And I totally get being scared of such a big move, having moved states for grad school this year and ending up halfway across the country away from family and the familiarity of my undergrad campus. But it’s also pushed me out of my comfortable routines - beyond the complete rupture of routines that Covid brought along. It was scary and frustrating but it’s also been a season of growth & learning what matters to me. I feel like - I hope, anyway - that Colorado will also bring you these moments of growth and joy in recognizing that you are capable of so so much. It’s all relative. It’s not like we are getting NYC wages here though so stuff doesn’t seem “cheap” if you’re a working class person(shift worker, hourly pay). If I were to get a job in my field in NYC it would pay much more but COL is higher so I wouldn’t be any better off financially. Same here. I’m paid less, COL is less and my financial situation is the same.

Born and raised from N Mpls and now I live near Stillwater. I always love the charm of the hardwood in older mpls homes and I absolutely adore that area and MIA. I used to take ballet classes at The Children’s Theater back in the 80s! I just ordered two of the bath sheets from onesen! Thanks for the suggestion as I literally have been looking for a replacement for my Fieldcrest luxury bath sheet (an old Target brand actually lol) and I measured it just today so their largest bath sheets are just the size I’m looking for...hope they are just as nice as the reviews (and price) suggests. I lived in Minneapolis for a few years, had to move back to my home town(New Orleans)due to Covid, and I miss it. I made great friends and memories living in Loring Park.

I knew in the first few seconds that was Fair Oaks. I only lived there for one year - from 1991-1992 but remember it well and our apt looked exactly like yours except we had 2 bedrooms. I loved the ivy and pane-windows, the whole building is so charming. I've lived in Loring Park since then and its really sad all the fantastic restaurants we lost on our part of Eat Street for those boxy apts that all look the same.

I lived in Minneapolis for a few years, had to move back to my home town(New Orleans)due to Covid, and I miss it. I made great friends and memories living in Loring Park.

I knew in the first few seconds that was Fair Oaks. I only lived there for one year - from 1991-1992 but remember it well and our apt looked exactly like yours except we had 2 bedrooms. I loved the ivy and pane-windows, the whole building is so charming. I've lived in Loring Park since then and its really sad all the fantastic restaurants we lost on our part of Eat Street for those boxy apts that all look the same.
