Hey Kim, I lost my 33 year old and only son several years ago but I don't think I've grieved so much. It's all still buried somewhere I'm 68. That's a nice way to remember your boy, it really is
I was 16 years old when I first heard of the group called the James Gang. Funk 49 was playing on the FM stations then and I loved that song. So I went out and bought the album James Gang Rides Again. The whole album is chocked full of good tunes, I couldn't believe how good each song was. But my favorite song on this album is The Bomber. This tune really rocked and displayed Joe's excellent guitar work. I have most of his stuff and continue to enjoy his music to this day. I had no idea Joe was such a caring person. And of course I had no idea he's been married five times. Looks like Marjorie Bach is a keeper. So glad he turned his life around and got off drugs. He's a kind caring man. And I would place him in the top 10 as far as the greatest rock guitarists go. Love you joe!
He lived and still has a home in Santa Barbara and I'd run into him plenty if times. A self effacing ordinary average guy, and was told in that iconic drawl of his we had more than a passing resemblance to one another. 'Hey man, no really, you could be my stunt double...' cause I do alot of stunts.' See ya around Joe.
I started watching you in the early 70's..I absolutely love the Eagles. They're number one! I love Joe Walsh. No one can play guitar like him! Love you Joe..💖❤️💖🥰🤩😍
He is also the Brother-in-law to Ringo Starr. He mentioned he was in the crowd at She Stadium in 1965 when the Beatles played. So was Barbara Bach & her sister. Little did they know years later they would be related. Ringo married Barbara Bach in 1981 & Joe Walsh married her sister.
**JOE HAS TO BE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MUSICIAN!!! FROM TIME TO TIME I REPLAY HIS SONGS TILL MY EYES ARE EXHAUSTED!!! = THANK YOU SO MUCH GREAT MAN!!! = GOD BLESS YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU DO!!!****
Get your facts straight. Joe wasn't a member of the Eagles until Hotel California meaning he wasn't on the first 4 albums including Desperado and the first album, Eagles, for Take It Easy.
I've heard Bob Heil talk about that. Bob used to do audio for Joe and the Eagles. Joe would set up a CW rig backstage and operate right up until time to go out on stage. His call sign: WB6ACU.
No doubt and hands down one of the finest bottle neck slide players, ever. And if, as there probably should be, there's ever a law against using one of those Talkbox guitar effects with the plastic hose thing, Joe and Jeff Beck would be the only exceptions....
"1975 Joe got the biggest break of his career when he was invited to join the Eagles". By any standards this is ludicrous, the Eagles caught the break here because Joe did not like all the responsibility of running a band enterprise. Whoever put this bio together is a total hack. It is filled with inaccuracies.
Probably written by Glenn Frey's publicist. The Eagles, not particularly well liked nor respected in the music industry. Their music labeled 'laid back or' mellow Cali rock' due to the bands lack of ability for anything otherwise. Without doubt Joe's biggest charitable cause.
@@billkalivas9750 Also Jackson Browne wrote 3/4 of the song "take it easy" when Glenn Frey heard him playing it he asked permission to "take it" from him. Jackson Browne gave it to him and the rest is history. So I guess if you asked Glenn Frey how did you get that song. He would have replied I "take it easy." 🤔🙂
One day, probably in the late 80's, Joe was sitting in solo as a DJ at KLOS, Los Angeles. Joe tells the audience, " When I come back from commercial you're gonna want to have a blank cassette ready to record..." So then he tells this story...during a James Gang show they caught a kid taping the concert and the tape was confiscated..." Pretty good recording, we sounded good that night, wanna hear it ? " They did sound good, sorry I was away from home when that happened but how cool is that ? ?

Interesting Video but do you really need to show drawn out montages with 4 shots each of the cars he may own which are not his they are obviously promo photos. I remember when he would be a frequent visitor on the Chicago Shock Jock Steve Dahl's Radio Show when he was obviously drunk or high and it was hilarious. When Steve Dahl went on vacation for one week he had Joe fill in as guest host and it was the best.
I love Joe Walsh, but I just don't understand why Rockstars, actors and actresses, and other extremely rich people have to buy and own so many expensive cars. I know they can buy anything they want. Of course they have worked hard for their money. I just don't understand the obsession with cars. Joe gives lots of time and money to our veterans and other causes and am very proud of him for that's Thank you.
