@In Plain Sight how many people complained when Taker and HBK main event 26? Cena vs Rock 28? Roman and Taker.......no that match was shit.(not only because of Taker's take where he didn't give it his all, but roman was total shit to work with in not being able to help a veteran out in the match)
Legends never die, I applaud you and the fans in Toronto that night for making the match what it was. You guys were the show stealers that night. If the WWE was expecting that kind of crowd reaction for Hogan, then surely they would have put that match on last. Of course, hindsight is 20-20. Pushing Jericho as the first undisputed champion was the right call. His heat was astronomical. The aftermath elevated his stock entirely, dude went from a midcarder to a worldwide top talent and looking back everything that happened was incredible for him. Can’t imagine what it would’ve been like had it been Triple H that was crowned, 2 other egos would’ve been hurt, and the storyline wouldn’t have been as memorable, e.g. Triple H vs Scott Steiner or Triple H vs Goldberg. Pushing HHH as the top heel that was over in most big matches was hard for awhile. Kurt and Y2J just fit the bill better.

@@alexschofield944 I was going off what Jericho said in a previous inside the ropes video about how Punk just wanted to be the last match of WrestleMania.
It was also his pride, and not in a bad way, he felt they didn't value what he was worth, in 2011 he was the hottest wrestler in the world by far, and instead of giving him something good, they sent Triple H to beat him, then R truth and Miz, and when he was champion he never main evented nothing, it was always John Cena in very weird matches with The Big Show and John Laurinaitis, that's what started to make him feel angry
@@ReaperFrost dont forget John Cena vs The Miz... and JC vs The Rock... *twice* . CM Punk genuinely got fucked over at Wrestlemanias. With the two biggest guys in WWE history fighting two wrestlemania main events in a row, the most hyped up match... ever. Which was built up an entire year by Miz vs Cena. And what did Punk get? A match against Jericho, and a match against the Undertaker which would be another obvious win for Taker.
Literally pays to be Vince's son-in-law
The camera pandering to the crowd just makes me feel like I’m watching a wrestler take off his/her gear after an entrance interruption in 2k
Chris is so right about going on after Rock and Hogan. Even the DVD (which I own) has Rock on Hogan on the cover. I don’t even remember Y2J vs HHH 🤷🏻♂️
Come to think of it, same thing happened with HBK vs Undertaker then having what?? Cena vs HHH? Who gives a 💩 after watching a classic like that.
Vince would have given him a better fight than Goldberg
One of the same gripes cm punk had lol
Jericho aged well
“Would you rather go on last or be in the biggest match on the card?”
Thing is the biggest match on the card should be on last.
Talk about shitting all over his title reign, unreal!
Jericho truly is, the goat. No doubt about that.
I always love the stories of Jericho in WWF as a smark among marks.
can't wait for the next update of this title: "Chris Jericho Tells Funny Story About Wanting To Punch Tony In His "Stupid Face" "
To Vince McMahon's credit, at least he sat on Jericho's complaint and gave another 1/2 pie. But if Jericho was still considered new in WWF at that time, and there was still some sort of WWF vs ECW beef backstage, i can somewhat understand y Vince didn't want to pay Chris more. Maybe he was worried that the other WWF wrestlers might be offended if he gave Chris too much.
I loved when jericho and benoit teamed up against the top dog's
best story teller in the business
That Tag Team Title Match is still my favorite all time.
First time I seen Y2J in WCW I knew he was star. I was so pumped when he came over to WWF
The first night wasn't Detroit live it was Chicago... greatest promo ever
Patrice O’Neil has the best Vince McMahon stories Patrice was a writer for a short time
Great guy ...makes the 99s wrestling special
Best to ever do it...don't even attempt to change my mind
Jherico can do his own stand up show
coming to wwe from wcw is like the first day your in chow at prison lol
WTF was that HBK impression, my guy
Jericho you’re not the only one who wants to punch vince in the face. Punk probably does as well
Add rob van dam to the list….at least years ago
He was right, I remember watching that ppv and I don't remember any match except for the rock vs hogan
Who remembers when he made his debut interrupting the rock of all the wrestlers and just getting wrecked by rock's legendary mic skills
I always liked Jericho
Wow, Vince really, really, really didn't want Chris dating his daughter...
i remember my dad was pissed when Jericho had the NWO screw austin out of the undisputed championship XD
These Chris Jericho talks are hilarious
wow!! for Chris to be still this faithful and call Vince a friend after all that going down at stage of the immortals!! the grand daddy of them all! and at the main event! this guy Jericho is the man! he swallowed a whole LOAD!
