- The son of the great journalist Hunter S. Thompson reads from his most recent book. For more information about Las Vegas Book Festival's 2020 Virtual Book Week, visit www.lasvegasbookfestival.com.
I think he was at a loss of words to help with his depression and loneliness because Hunter used his emotions to stay busy and fight and figure out who he was. He created his life and didn’t know what to tell someone who trouble finding their purpose. Hard to tell your son “Buy the ticket, take the ride.” Stop worrying and get moving. Difficult to do when your life’s journey just started.
That was touching Juan! Hunter would be so proud of you! ❤️ From one creative to another keep creating amazing art 🖼 ✍🏻 🎨 🧠
I just got the audio book on Audible. It's really a captivating book and Juan does an excellent job narrating it!
I know this comment was from 2 years ago, but thanks to you I opened up an account on audible to only listen this masterpiece.
8 hours and 16 minutes, that got me because some chapters really hit close home, Juan captivated every word and made me felt like I was listening a movie, Hunter made masterpieces but made mistakes and Juan showed us how he struggled, I wanna thank you for your comment and I wanna thank Juan F Thompson for this book, because parents are not perfect and after listening this I don't feel like I was the only one who went from a rollercoaster of emotions during my years growing up, my dad that was a culinary arts journalist in South America and as a family we went through lots of stuff, I'm not gonna mention it because of spoilers, but I feel every cent and dollar of my membership worths it just because of his book and your comment.
Thanks Juan
"I'm not worried about you but I am interested"
