John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.
Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.
As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst - almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.
Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

ok, so added the partial delt raises to my workout yesterday. These worked GREAT!! nearly zero trap engagement once I got zero'd in. From my mental notes:
    1. Pay special close attention to how high you raise the dumbells, this is going to be different for everyone and where traps start to engage
    2. To get full benefit of the heavier weight and get max pump, fully contract the delts in the lower position before beginning the lift. When you perform the lift keep this max contraction all the way up and all the way down. Let the dumbells come to rest, relax the contraction. Rinse and repeat keeping a steady 1-2 second rhythm for 12 reps or more.
I did 5 straight sets of 12 walking up the rack. What a new feeling for me. My middle delts are finally sore!! This is now a perm part of my delt workout!! I should start to see new gains in about 3-4 weeks if my shoulders react to this the way I think they will.

Smith machines are great for us old blokes who's gym is in the garage and the missus can't spot for you.
Again, there are whole regimens based on partials, either exploiting the strongest part of range, or exercising within your sticking point.
    Again, a great video.

I am so glad I found your channel, I think you are a great teacher, your calm demeanor and easy going attitude is what attracted me to your workout videos. I use to workout daily and was in great shape back in my Marine corps days but fell off after my time ended and had some injuries to my leg. You inspired me to get back in the gym and I appreciate that. Also you look very much like a friend I served with who past . Thanks again bro God bless

Been working my shoulders a while now and no matter how many techniques I've tried over the years all the popular channels all over RUclips and I never felt them the way I wanted to, so far I tried the first two exercises and I started feeling them as fast as the first set! exactly what I've been looking for.
