      hey mountaindog1 at the end of the video you mentioned that you prefer to do db shoulder presses with your arms slightly forward, is this because of tightness preventing you from pushing vertically or does pushing slightly forward work the shoulder muscles better?

    I've found out over the years that the key to big shoulders, at least when it comes to mid delt, that gives you the width shoulder look from the front. You have to let your ego aside and use lighter weight (15-20lbs DBs) and seriously focus on good technique (for lateral raises), guiding the lift with the arm and elbow and not with the hand. I see many guys using way heavier weights, because they associate it with "arm exercise", like you would for bis or tris, so they use 35-45lb DBs, way too heavy...

    • @burner00019
      @burner00019 4 года назад +2

      Nailed it. I've been training for 10 years and I only figured this out two years ago because I thought heavy weight was the only thing that ever mattered.

    For rear delts I've been turning my hands into position where I start with my hands in the start of a biceps curl. With my hands facing that way it takes out the traps.
