    • @Amarianee
      @Amarianee 3 года назад +6

      @@kagekun7689 MrSpaceMau5 beat me to it. Yes, Botox is a controlled injection of botulinum toxin. That's how it paralyzes the nerves at the injection site, preventing the muscles from contracting. That's also why there's a waiting period from when you should get another injection. Unfortunately, cosmetic surgery obsessed people sometimes to go to multiple doctors to get around it. Some people see "danger" and just plow through the door anyway.

      I am one of them. Not because I want to look like a Hollywood starlet, I fear that ship sailed away so long ago that it probably had sails. I have around 40 odd injections every few months to control migraines. I went from having migraines so bad that the hospital had thought that I had suffered a stroke to mild headaches every once in a while. So just remember when you hear about people having botox injections there are clinical reasons to have them.

    • @Amarianee

      @@tedrex8959 oh, I never meant to imply there weren't, I just found the numbers hilarious. My grandmother had a very small stroke and it damaged the nerves on the left side of her face, causing the corner of her eye to twitch badly, and the only thing that helped was Botox injections. I have nothing against people getting injections for cosmetic reasons either as long at it's their own choice (vs SO or someone telling them they need it), just find it hilarious that there's millions who inject it, and hundreds who inadvertently contract the actual botulism infection.

    It’s quite funny how yes, number one is the most deadliest pathogen however wouldn’t be the easiest to manipulate for bio warfare. However number 10, anthrax, is extremely more easier to weaponise and use as an attack. So the real question is what is more deadly, the one that has an extreme mortality, or the one that can more easily and safely be used to inflict an attack.

    Marburg is 88% deadly? Not in any papers I've read, more like 40%, unless that is an estimated death rate for the weaponized soviet variant. And, only one variant of Ebola has a 90% fatality rate. A more accurate representation would be 50% to 90%, depending on the specific variant of Ebola. That also doesn't take into account level of care, which would presumably be better in developed countries than in Africa. Death rates of 40% or 50% are high enough; no need to cherry pick statistics to make them sound even worse.

A lab where Marburg syndrome escaped was bulldozed in Marburg. It's believed that following the collapse of the USSR, some of their bioweapons lab workers from Central Asia relocated with samples to Iran.
