Guns are guns money is money. I can’t pay rent with a gun (without extra steps). But one thing holds true and that is looking to celebrities for advice, politicians for help and strippers for love will disappoint you every time 😂

@@redfs7414 I think this line of thinking is projecting your own rampant consumerism on them and your own lust for guns is placing an over inflated value on shit you don’t need and can’t afford. After you make $150k a year single or $250k with a family free shit doesn’t mean as much as cold hard cash. So a guntuber with 40+ guns that all do the same thing and have the same Browning, Stoner, Kalashnikov, or Gaston Glock operating system probably just really fucking likes guns. We all freak out when we buy a gun we don’t need and thus realistically cannot afford experience cognitive dissonance when we get it and it doesn’t cure cancer, tell the future and give us a handy to completion when we pull the trigger. If you’re so easily influenced to buy something because man on screen said “gun good” you’re the problem. Don’t buy anything you can’t afford to walk into the store and buy 10 of that very moment or you literally can’t afford it and will be disappointed if it doesn’t live up to the expectations in your head.

@@mikeiso8963 no, but if you don't need to front the money to buy the gun yourself, you can use that money to pay rent. Moreover, having a free gun gives them the ability to create a video which then makes them money.

I can tell by this type of comment you place a much higher value on a gun than most people in the business. Trust me when I say it isn’t as hard as you’d think to get a free gun, optic, laser, suppressor etc if you’re making a video. There’s whole divisio of companies desperate to have content made about their products. I have been shooting since I was a kid, but didn't start buying until I was in my, early 30's. I felt I was compromising by buying new guns as I'm madly in love with old school guns. I finally decided to sell my Bersa Thunder 380 and my Sig 320 and bought my first beautiful old school snubby revolver. One I had wanted since I was a kid. I was buying newer stuff because it's "popular" but once I thought about the fact that I've never had to shoot anyone, I don't ever get into Hollywood shootouts and that situational awareness is far more important than caliber, type of gun and capacity, I started buying the old guns. My first was a snub blued S&W Model 15-3 and it's my favorite gun I've ever bought myself. Since then I have bought nothing but old revolvers, traded and sold a few at guns shows for something different or something I wanted more. I have 7 or 8 old revolvers now, all 38 special and they are insanely gorgeous. I wanted a 3" tapered barrel blued Mod. 36 from S&W and I not only got it, I got a pre-model 36 also known as the Chief's Special and it's so beautiful! I carry nothing but nice old school revolvers now. I most situations if something goes down that actually warrants a gun, once you pop off a round or two in their direction, they're likely going to run as criminals don't want to rob people who will fight back, they want easy targets. Most criminals are just dumb bastards who have no idea what they're doing and just use fear on easy targets to get what they want. That isn't always true, but most times it is. I carry my Colt Agent all the time, except at work. It's a Colt Cobra with shorter grips. I put a full size set on it. It's from 1968 or 1969. My most recent purchase was a 98 year old Colt Pocket Positive in 32 S&W long. It's beautiful for its age. That one stays at home, but after shooting it, I'd feel confident carrying it as the rounds are bigger than I expected. People seem to think that since gigantic calibers exist that something like a 32 is nothing more than a glorified pellet gun. I challenge them to let someone shoot them with a 32 and see how they feel after lol. I'm pretty much done with modern guns other than a couple like a Beretta 92FS. Otherwise, I want all old guns. While most guys have tactical shotguns, I have a Coach Gun. While most guys want an AR, I want a 44 mag lever action rifle. That's just my style. I even own a SA 6 shooter in 45lc and those rounds are fuckin HUGE! Unfortunately it's broken, but I'm going to get another one day. Been buying knives the last year or so. Started with fake Benchmade knives, the decided to spend the money and get real ones.

Once I started noticing a gun drop then a ton of RUclips videos on said gun within minutes of the drop, I knew they don’t have my best interest. Sig does the same release as apple does for their iPhones. Just ways to drain the civilian market. I sold all my sigs except 2 and will no longer buy any more sigs. I just recently bought a tisas px-9 because I didn't have a hi capacity pistol and realized that I should probably get one and it was on sale, had great reviews and the quality was there so I bought it. I see so many takes about consumerism in the gun industry. Which is good, sure. You shouldn’t have paid shills pushing garbage of course, but there’s plenty of rampant consumerism the opposite way too.
The past six or so years I’ve seen a massive growth in the mindset of “It’s lifesaving so you shouldn’t cheap out”. That’s just straight up a manipulation tactic. As much as there are shills for shit products, there is also a movement to overpay for good products as well, and I don’t see anyone discussing that. I have people debate me that you shouldn’t buy a cheap repro as a range toy and you should instead buy a mid tier or higher gun. That’s ridiculous for a non serious use item that I might put 60 rounds through on a range day every once in a while.
Also I totally agree that Sig finishes are completely unacceptable, but things like the drop fire were nearly a decade ago. It shouldn’t have happened, but at this point it’s like bitching about Glock for gen 2 glocknades.

I think that should apply to SHTF rifles as well, buy the best you can afford for the mainstay and practice with that the most. It's the end users opinion what they think is the 'best they can afford'.
All that being said, I do think there are some companies that wayyyyy over charge what they should/ could for products, thats a whole other story involving military contracts and pricing. Or just the fact that you're not buying from China is enough for a lot of people.
The problem with the Sig drop safe issue isn't that I don't think it's fixed, it's that Sig gave that shit to the public in the first place. I think Sig is just extra scummy and greedy.

I agree uncle freedom has a similar vid. Don’t go buy a bunch of unnecessary gear. Have a plan/ budget to buy guns ammo and gear, stick to the plan. Build out a concealed carry gun to the exact specs you want then build out another one as you go so if the primary gets lost, stolen or taken in a shooting you have a back up. 1 is non and two is 1 as Clint Smith says. I will say Glock is the gold standard of reliability and parts availability. New products, price, features, upgrades and development no way. If you want a simple reliable handgun Glock is good to go. If you want some features stock, cz, walter, hk, maybe berretta. It’s to bad Glock hasn’t made slim line guns with more than 10 rounds we just have the shield or other aftermarket mags. That aren’t alway reliable.

What’s wrong with CZ aftermarket support? That’s all I carry and I’ve never had a problem finding anything for my P-01. Sure you may not be able to go to your LGS and buy a holster for it. But most of the ones they sell are crap anyway. You just have to know when you buy a CZ, that all of your aftermarket parts and accessories are going to be found online.

    • @swampdaddy6425

@@brian_b_music that's pretty much it, I'm definitely complaining over dumb stuff. To some degree, I envy the Glock Walmart you can go to pretty much anywhere in the US. I love cz, but I also love instant gratification and cheap options. I may not want that uncle Mike holster on that dusty lgs shelf, but it's nice to see my model sitting there. Especially the p10 series, it's as cheap, sometimes cheaper for the base gun vs Glock. Everything outside of the first purchase, cz can't compete. I realize you can't have it both ways, if it got as popular as Glock the cz would cost 6-700 for a p10, just to have basic options sitting around town. But, I wouldn't have to wait 24 days while my $80 optics plate is shipped from a country with more consonants than our alphabet, and that means something to this hillbilly.
