Comparing my Vertx and Mystery Ranch EDC bags with my new Eberlestock Apprentice. As usual Eberlestock delivers on quality and design. TLDR Eberlestock - 9.5/10 Vertx - 7/10 Mystery Ranch - 6.5/10 How do I determine my scale? My brain, idk take it with a grain of salt. 😂

Micro VHF Mobile Radio From The 80's

Bought an old, late 80's ICOM ic228a, VHF only, 5w to 25w mobile radio and have no regrets. Found it on eBay and spent $91 to get it to my door, the winning bid before shipping was $71. Total build was less than $150. This was a super fun and relatively inexpensive project and the finished product is an absolute VIBE. Looks like I'm ready to call in reinforcements with this thing. 😂 Holler in t...
The YouTuber Special; Flannels & Chest Rigs.

Going over where I choose to buy my flannels/ summer plaid shirts. There's nothing inherently TACTI-COOL about flannel but when combined with a chest rig, it really is a whole vibe.

Leather Sweat/ Comfort Guard for Kydex Holster
I have never understood the consumerist mindset. I guess it's because I grew up poor and my way of thinking is buy what you need not what you want. I don't have hobbies. Everything I own has a purpose. If I purchase a gun it's because I didn't have that particular tool in my box. I just recently bought a tisas px-9 because I didn't have a hi capacity pistol and realized that I should probably get one and it was on sale, had great reviews and the quality was there so I bought it. I buy my clothes from thrift stores and garage sales if that tells you anything.
So you’re saying I’m a professional shooter lol
@@kenstirling5348 yes, unless you are.... Lmao 😂
@ I used to shoot a 1911 a lot and when I went to a Glock my front sight always presented high. Now I pretty much shoot Glocks exclusively and if I present a 1911 or m9 or something the front sight is way low. It’s immediate and obvious to me. I think it’s because I’m staying on Glock for so long and shooting it in so many classes though. If I shot a different gun every weekend like some people it might not make a difference because I would never really be so in tune with it.
I got the same pair of iron rangers. Took me some time to break em in but they are a clean pair.
im looking to by that same vgc? do you like it? love it? rec or don't rec?
@@jamiehannwacker5958 love it so far. Works great for me!
Seems like the retention is solid. Can you compare the retention of the APX vs the MSP, which is light based retention?
@@Alex-ic3zp APX has a more positive retention, it gives that nice 'click'. The MSP is more of a friction fit. I haven't had issues with either but the APX I would say wins on retention.
I'm new to the Dagger/G19 gen3 platform. My biggest takeaway is how garbage button mag releases are. The PPQ M1 paddle mag release is so much better than a button releases. It really is a shame the USA market killed the paddle mag release.
Okay okay, what mag base pad and which grips?!
@@markmolyneaux9662 haha Taran Tactical +4 extension for the 17-18 round mags and the grips are ZIB Grips
@@JFR19 ITs so good! Thanks for the info!
Are these the golden oak or the dark walnut finished grips? They look great!
@@jackfo5796 I believe dark walnut. Thanks!

Does this scan nearby police/fire frequency or do you need to input them manually.
@@asylumgonzo I don't believe so but I haven't been able to really dig into the radio too much yet. A lot of emergency comes are digital now as well.
Are the muzzle ends of the holsters open or did you have to customize that on yours?
@@cartpush3r13 Depends on the model. Usually if you opt to accomodate a threaded barrel it will come open ended, but not always.
can they message each other?
@@SurrealSoundsEntertainment i believe so
@@JFR19 ive yet to see anyone really use these very much
@@SurrealSoundsEntertainment s2 underground has some good videos on it!

the magnetic closing is in one of their other backpacks it’s the jackknife that’s got it i think
Waiting for the new vids!
I just put my factory grips back on.. I agree Cz did right with those it’s just something about em
Eberlestock switchblade f5. Nice
Another tip is have some good ventilation, the fumes would burn my eyes but id be fine after turning on some fans
Sorry just my first impressions
Seriously…stickers. Stop moving it and your hands around like you drank too much caffeine. You’re trying to show the features of the holster. It made it difficult to see any features. If you buy too many of the same holsters you get the same things with it, strange how that works. Sorry but you complain about the dumbest thing. Seems like a great holster. They just make it hard to decide on a model as long as it’s for your model gun.
@@deanmiles3505 It's just a first impressions video bro, give me a min. 😂
One more tip: If you are in single watch, and hold down Back button, it will turn on dual watch automatically for you as well. Thanks for video.
Thank you for the very thorough review on the Apprentice and the feedback! If anyone is looking for a pack designed around EDC, they should look at our FADE Collection of packs, briefs, slings, ect.
Been considering some of the FADE stuff myself. Y'all make excellent gear, thanks for commenting!
You definitely rambled… that being said replace your range bag and all duffle bags with the eberlestock basin it’s amazing
I bought one on black Friday… not disappointed at all. Better than some of my MR/Hpg
What I really want to know is what was the logic behind the grip angle of Gaston Glock when he designed the first one? Can't find an answer to that question. There has to be some logic to it and although I don't know this for sure, I'm sure he and his engineers toyed with different angles before settling on what has become one of the most talked about attributes of a firearm in history, pistol grip angle. People get super passionate about it on both sides of the argument, especially if you have a Sig guy and a Glock guy in the same room. I've always heard people bellyache about the grip angle of a Glock. I'm not really for or against it, I've had a Glock 17 in one form or another since college in 1994, always seemed normal, probably would have never noticed if so many people wouldn't have pointed it out over the years. Have lots of other pistols from other companies as well, can't really say I shoot one noticeably better than any other just as I can't say I hit one company's golf club better than any other. I know there are a lot of differences in golf/gun technologies between companies and it annoys gun and golf ultra-enthusiasts when I compare the activities. When I'm focused, undistracted, not tired, pay attention to fundamentals, stay relaxed, pay attention to my body position/movements in either activity the club or pistol makes less and less difference to the quality of shot.
Glocks were designed when the two handed service grip was being trained. Before 1970 police were not trainee to use both hands. The hump allowes you to pull the grip into your palm and have more leverage.
Damn...it's $99 now
@@DGALV90 yeah the Black Friday deal was wild.
the nail clippers being the one tool to carry comment: kinda weird but have you ever tried using the scissors on a multitool to cut your nails? i don't use clippers anymore after doing this.
I haven't, i can't remember if my wave+ has scissors but next time, if they do, i might try that. at the very least that would free up an extra set of nail clippers to keep in the car. lol
THAT is a real beauty! What are the grips?
Thank you bro! The grips are ZIB grips. You can get them pretty cheap from their website or they have an ebay store.
I just wish the BTech had the color choices.
5:15 😂 subscribed
lmfao shes ridiculous
Everything pmm makes is top tear.
Agreed. I wish they made more gun specific comps that had the profile that the dagger comp has.
Bro. I have a p-01 with CGW carry internals, red dot milled by primary machine for rmsc footprint. I put a 407k on it but plan to switch it out for the eps carry. Bro. It's probably my favorite CCW.
I almost can't make myself carry anything else. I actually have the audio recorded for my first voice over video; It's going to be the history of the p01. In that voice over i mention how the p01 has cost me money but also saved me even more because so many other guns just dont live up to the p01 standard. Its such a quality piece of engineering. I think ill go full CGW eventually too.
Bro. You and I think alike. And weigh the same. If you want a high quality flannel that's not as expensive as Dixxon, Pendleton, or iron heart. Check out rebel reaper, demons behind me and cascade. Super high quality for like 40 bucks.
Yo big ups! Thank you for the suggestion, I'll definitely check those out.
Eberlestock had military contracts which if why it's built so well. Super high quality and it's not vertx expensive.
Good review of the bags
@@rosskk I appreciate it!
I carried the Vertx Gamut 2.0 for awhile. I didn't like how narrow it was and went back to my Cannae Gear backpack I got for like $40 7 years ago. I like a backpack to be able to sit up on its own and have a lot of organization options.
@@brockmannwells The sitting upright on its own is a real thing. This Eberlestock does that better than the other two bags, which is strange because it lacks a plastic 'back plate'. It's always hard to know what's going to work until you carry something everyday. Lol
I have one too, also got it for $40. Great deal and bag for EDC!
What does the number written on the magazine mean?
@@TheNanovalue just helps keep track of mags if I run into malfunctions.

@ Bro you have one of the Sexiest P01’s instantly went crosseyed.
Take the foam out and hit it with a few coats of FlexSeal. That will help with the stippled grip pulling on the foam and it’ll help the foam retain its shape long term.
Did those dcc clips end up working
@@Glonkperfection yup, took a minute to find the right configuration but they work!

what's better this or the m&p 2.0 compact with the updated trigger?
@@brendanphillips8448 haven't shot the m&p but I did dry fire one with an apex trigger and it was REEEEALLLLY nice. For a factory trigger though, the p10 is fantastic.
How do you like it compared to the Axis Elite?
@@shumardi1 I don't actually own an axis elite, but compared to my Axis Slim, at least with the way I set my holsters up, there's not a huge difference. That being said, the APX does offer the most adjustments so it really depends person to person.
