- I was pleased I attended this open day in the morning because in the afternoon the heavens opened with heavy rain over Carlisle.
In the video you will see all the numbers of the locos on the depot.
Great exhibition there, thanks for sharing! Loved to see all those shiny and clean locomotives at the sidings ant inside the trainshed. And what a kind gesture to name one of the locos the last remaining, airworthy Avro Vulcan. Although I've always been a more Victor's design fan :) Big thumbs up from me and greetings from Poland!
Thank you very much for watching, pleased you have enjoyed.
Excellent views Mike, better than 2 years ago by the looks of your film, thanks Dave
Hi David, yes it was a good one with the added attraction of there new locos. Thanks for watching regards Mike.
I do love those ZZA snow ploughs, great video :)
Yes they remind me of Scotland, thanks for watching.
Fantastic coverage of the event.
-Thomas
Pleased you enjoyed Thomas. Mike,
Very nicely filmed, i enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing... Derek.
Cheers Derek for watching, I would have liked to have spent more time there but I want to get back to the station so I could film Duchess of Sutherland arriving.
Great video I absolutely love DRS for 2 reasons. Reason 1 I love the dark blue color on there livery. Reason 2 for keeping the class 37 in mainline service!
I don't think the 37s will be around for much longer with DRS, but I hope I'm wrong. Thank you very much for watching my video.
Cubixrube 46 whats going to happen to there class 20 and 47s there getting old too.
That's a good question.... I hope they get sent to heritage railways.....because they still have something in them I should Imagine. I can't see them being scrapped (Fingers crossed)
Well the class 47 have already been withdrawn from service, and they only us the 20s in the autumn James.
Very good coverage of the event Mike, featuring horsepower of a different kind at the end...
Nice one Chris you got the connection. I was pleased I never got wet Chris.
Lovely film. Nice to see the resurrection of some of the old EM1 & EM2 names.
Anthony that used to be a big interest for me taking photos of name plates before I started videoing.
Great event
Yes the DRS open days years ago where very good, not so much these days I see.
This was an awesome open day in 2017
Yes I was a good one.
Well covered there Mike, videoing at open days with all the locos in close proximity and people everywhere is a very difficult task! Looks like DRS provided plenty to see on the loco front, the line up of four Class 68's in different liveries a nice touch.
Darren I thought I was going to get very wet looking at the weather forecast but that happened in the afternoon, and yes DRS did do a better job this year compared to two years ago at Kingmoor. Cheers Mike.
Fantastic video
Thank You for watching.
Great Mike looks like you had a good day up there plenty of new stuff to keep us interested in
Dave I was happy with my day out with seeing my last 88 plus getting 2 68 I hadn't seen, but I also picked the right time as it pissed down in the afternoon when they named that 66301 "Kingmoor TMD" Thanks for taking a look Dave.
Excellent video
Thanks Luke, I appreciate your comments.
Good video of what looks like a decent effort by DRS to get their fleet represented at the open day. You beat the rain too which was a bonus.
Yes it was OK Paul apart from the bus queue so I walked it to the depot. going to upload the 46233 arriving into the station very soon then you will see the rain.
Very nice Mike cheers Steve ..
Thanks Steve for taking a look, will be uploading so steam later from Carlisle. Regards Mike.
Awesome video! I wish I went...
Thanks for your comment, it a long way to go for you.
Great video mate, enjoyed it. You saw my last 88 too and I needed 68029. Pleased you had an enjoyable day out
Well I just wanted to see 88001 and it wasn't in a good position was it. but it was a good day most of the time.
Great efforts Mike, I have yet to visit Kingmoor.
Oh right Tom why is that ? It was great area in the BR days when you could get around the yard etc when there was no H/S.Thanks Tom for taking a look. Regards Mike.
Awesome Video :)
Cheers for that mate, will have a look at yours soon.
Mike - a great record of the event, i've still to see a few of those 68s/88s.
Well Gaz they are not used that much are they. Cheers Mike.
Too right mate, it's as though they've over-stocked.
Cool! Did you stay to see 66301 being named? If not, it is available on the al66class59 channel. My vid from kingmoor will be uploaded monday evening probably
Just watched your naming video, no I wanted to get back to the station, and rain was forecasted and I didn't want to get wet.
Well I got **soaked**!

Loads of new Engines on show Mike....Will be a shame when the old ones go.....Trevor.''
I agree Trevor because it looks like more 37 are going to get stored. Sad times ahead Mike.
