this quest just made me realize, all the archons are really just lonely people. Zhongli with Guizhong and his other friends, Venti with the unnamed bard and his old companions, Ei with her sister and her friends, and Nahida who couldnt leave her dreams for 500 years. And now poor Furina, a human who was forced to put on the longest opera of all time.

Being immortal sucks and genshin has shown us that godhood is a full time job full of heartbreak
I had a feeling from the start of this quest that we will see an Archon's death. I also felt from the beginning that Furina had never wanted to be an Archon. Everything about her seems to suggest someone who was forced into the position. Her expression, her forceful way of speaking, the way she carry herself, everything screams someone who was forced to play a part that they do not feel well equipped for.
I haven't done Furina quest . Does her story quest show details after the events of 4.2 archon quest or before? I have done 4.2 archon quest and want to know what happened to Furina after the 4.2 archon quest.
Furina can now live. What she has been doing for the past 500 years can barely be considered "living" now that everything is done and over with she can now do things as Furina, no pretenses, no exoectations, no judgement. She's now as free as she could be. But one has to wonder is the lifespan of a human enough to heal the wounds inflicted for 500 years?
In the end, she finally was herself. And she would live to the rightful age of 600 years. On her deathbed, she thanked her family for being beside her to heal the trauma, and let her experience the real human life. Her descendants would be known as "children of a human archon".
I just feel sad for Furina, she had to endure the suffering for 500 years just for her to be hated by the people of fontaine, none of it was her fault 😭 Flocalors didn’t even show up to her to at least apologize to Furina. I’m just happy that she got a vision.
Welp focalor apologized to her And some people already love her especially after the performance and some hate her mostly (poisson people only) But it's really a sad Shame that some hated her when she could do nothing for them
Furina is still an idol to many and an icon to Fontaine, even the archons respect the human who had to play god for that long, so much so that they claim she is worthy of being a god either way.
Spoiler : She was an oceanid who was made into human by previous archon and then she gave the archon authority to her...she then split her divine self from her "human self" because as an oceanid she wanted to live like an ordinary person... Her divine self remained in the oratrice...her human self remained in the crowd .. the Furina we know doesn't have any clue about the plans of Fontaine rescue...but she cooperates with her "archon self" and does as she's asked ... The plan of focalor is to return the power of dragon to him so he can "give" the people of Fontaine "true blood" and make them actual human so they won't dissolve if they come in contact with primordial water..because prophecy would happen regardless.. but fate of the people can still be changed
furina's story made me cry. it was the first time i cried bc of genshin in the three years i've been playing. she touched my heart the most out of every character. if a scene has me bawling for straight on minutes, then it's a good one in my book

The amount of effort they keep adding with each archon is insane. Furina gets multiple models, a song, and a bit of 2d animation, imagine what murata will get!
She receiving her vision is the most beautifullllllll moment ive seen in this game after all her suffering and endurance during 500 years... she deserved it omg... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Fun fact. Archons or elemental dragon sovereign cannot grant vision. They can't decide what vision goes to whom. This was confirmed by Venti in one of his lines during an event quest. It appears to the receipient when the "heavens" deemed them worthy. This heaven doesn't say which one, probably Celestia
Yeah, before 4.2 i wouldnt agree. Sumeru was just top tier. But 4.2 story was handled so good, that for me fontaine became the best. Its cool that they improve the story with each region, hopefully natlan will surprise us even more (and oh boy, they will if some of the leaks are true)
@@Juju2927 This was the same actress who played Juliet in the musical version of 'Romeo and Juliet'! There's a behind the scenes video for this scene on how the HoyoVerse team came up with it, and even how they managed to get through the language barrier between Chinese and French to arrange the piece (Cecilia had only downloaded Genshin 4 months before being asked to sing this piece!)
It’s nice to imagine that perhaps Neuvilette was secretly somewhere in the opera epiclese, watching her, and gave her the vision when the time came. A gift at the perfect moment.
From what we've learned, Archons only decide if people can receive their vision or not, but not who nor when they would receive it. Hence how the Raiden Shogun specifically made sure nobody had an electro vision for a whole year.
@@Juju2927 That is wrong, Archons has no influence, Ei was as surprised to be find out no Visions were granted either. There is this other theory though that it could be tied to the Sovereigns, which Neuvillette could grant.
Neuvilette’s “Vision” story has been unlocked, and it’s a bit implied that even though the Hydro Archon is no more and he technically doesn’t have to distribute visions, he still set aside a part of himself to give visions to future vision holders! The story’s real neat if you’d like to check it out yourself
Not maybe, it's confirmed that he's in the audience watching the performance, he said it just before that he would not miss it. And he's the one with total authority over the hydro element, so it's confirmed that it's him who gave it to her. It is written in his story in game : visions
i feel so bad for furina, such a lovely person being forced into something for 500 years. 500 years, she might’ve been focalors’ “human” part but she’s still her own person, imagine having to act as someone else for centuries without any break, not being able to truly connect with someone or yourself, and you can’t even express the way you actually feel. i’m happy that she now gets to live as FURINA, but i’m still sad when i think about all the suffering she must’ve faced during this entire “play”
Damn, Furina oficially has taken the spot for me as the absolute saddest character in genshin so far. 500 years of absolute solitude having to act like someone you really aren't. Put in a position of the divine when you litterally have less powers than those granted a vision. And she couldn't even tell a single soul. It's almost like Subaru from Re:zero not being able to tell anyone about his return by death, but this has lasted for 500 years. She was litterally just a human
No ..she's originally an oceanid who was made into human and then given archon power..but she herself divided herself from her divinity and made a mortal vessel of herself with a curse of immortality... With death of the divine self ..her curse of immortality now is lifted...
Hmm, there was no specific discussion of it anywhere in the story, but her story quest's description does contain the sentence "The past is as long as the present", so it's natural to believe that she still has a long life, and is not an average human being.
I actually think it's kinda sad that she's no longer immortal. 500 years of suffering and the mortal life that she now has will never be able to move on from it.
Furina no longer has to be lonely. She has Neuvillette, the traveller & those who still support her. She finally has the freedom to be herself. I am happy for her. And if a quest makes you feel happy for character than that’s proof enough it’s a very well written quest.
A little interesting thing about her vision is that has little fangs on it, considering its been revealed that the 7's authority is taken into account when someone recieves a vision, that means Neuvillette granted his first vision as a fully fledged sovereign, to Furina no less
Neuvillette almost certainly can't grant visions, considering that the 7 don't grant them either, and having a vision is the first step to possible ascension to Celestia. But that said, Furina's vision isn't like other Fontanian visions in shape. Maybe because she can use both Pneuma and Ousia?
@@tristanweiss722 nah, check his vision story Heres the last two paragraphs in it "From that day on, whenever a person's wishes reached the heavens, the seven overseers of the material realm were duty-bound to grant them a gift. Though they might know nothing of who or what wish had stepped into the threshold of the sacred, the Seven Archons still had to impart a shattered shard of their mastery to that person. And when one so gifted completed their duty.... the gift the gods would receive in return would be more abundant still. Neuvillette obeys no edict from the heavens, but he does acknowledge human will. So he too set aside parts of himself, as like unto the dragon-treasure hoards of old, awaiting valiant humans to come and claim them."
@@areallymeanpersonThe confusing thing though is that Ei says in the teapot that she doesn’t grant visions, and says people are given them for their ambition, but also something else which she’s not allowed to say.
@@blubbydragon5381 It's likely that the vision thing is some sort of passive system that Celestia set up, but since Neuvilette isn't beholden to Celestia, he can consciously hand them out.
No she has become a full on human with a vision she was never a god because focalors removed her divinity from her body thus creating furina a new consciousness
Focalors was the oceanid. Then she split her "divine side" and "physical/mental side" > she when she was transformed by a human by Egeria. Technicaly Furina was an "incomplete" human then a true one tks to Neuvillette.

There's a new story entry on Neuv profile that basically says that now he can give hydro visions, so we can say that he gave Furina an special vision because she can use Pneuma an Ousia
Finally the goddess of Fontaine is herself again...genius,to basically trick celestia and destroy the concept of a hydro Archon....furina hands down is the most impressive god till now (P. S to people who still are confused, she is a god in the same sense as Raiden and Zongli are after becoming "human"... She is both a human and a god, that was the whole point of everything)
@@user-ft1ru8jv1z no she is no longer an archon, just like Raiden and zhongli she rejected celestia, literally the whole point of everything was to 'kill' her archon identity and get rid of the previous sins of the archon... To basically start fresh... She can now rule Fontaine as Furina, among the people, the way she wanted to in the first place
@@Riimaachan Do we even play at the same game. Where do you read about Raiden and zholing reject celestia?, and if so where venti cause he just don't even care about being a ruler?, You said throw away gnosis to fatui is reject celestia? That what you mean?, If so nahida also reject her gnosis so does she also reject celestia?. First of all she doesn't kill her archon identidy, she delet the 'hydro archon' out of existance. No more hydro archon, even when peoples need forcalor to show up, she won't cause she out of existance, even when they ask for a new hydro archon the seat is fully delet there will never be a new hydro archon, cause all the power came back to where it belong, that is a much better feats than retired like zhongli and don't give a shi* about gnosis like Ei Second zhongli isn't a human he still consider an adapti cause he still lowkey a god, the seat of the 'six' still there the only thing he does is retired from being a ruler, morax still there he never really died, if liyue come to the end only Morax can safe he will show up and the celestia know it. Third raiden isn't a 'human' by any means. She is alway the cold blood warrior, that can fight hundred of years. The only 'human' about hers is her emotian, she still consider a god by all of her peoples and she also consider herself a god that need to ruling her nation. So she isn't a both human and god things likes you said cause she is just Furina, a normal person. And all of archon quest said that. Her other self in the mirror (Forcalor) asked Furina to acted liked an archon until Forcalor doing her work, the reasons while Furina can lived for 500 years is due to a curse that Forcalor cursed on Furina that she will not aging until Forcalor dead. Furina have the same problem with origin water (She can turn into water cause she also a Océanide turn into human at the count of furina), and all of the last past of the 4.2 story quest talk about furina suffering for acting as a god went she isn't one. So in the end we see Furina is now a normal person (Even in her story quest so also claim now she just a normal girl live a normal life in a small house). And in the end she is a normal person. All of this 4.2 story doesn't about furina is both god and human. It about being a god is suffering,
No offense, but you are the one who is confused here. Have you played the Archon Quest? Furina is not the Hydro Archon, there is no Hydro Archon anymore, and the Hydro authority went back to the sovereign Neuvillette. She is not comparable to Venti, Zhongli and Ei who have only lost their gnosis but still retain their divine seat, and still maintain their stolen elemental authority.
So I have a question is furina becomes a human means she is no longer immortal and completelly human or it just means that she is free from playing the role of focalor but still immortal?
I theoricraft that Furina/Fucalor got more powers now than before, as she has been released from previous constraints. Before she was "a regular human acting like the Hydro archon", now she's "the Hydro Archon acting like a regular human". Not to deceive her people, but to deceive the heavenly principles. - When the "God of Wisdom" Nahida speaks about Furina in her "post-archon" phase, Nahida clearly states that "she's smart enough to turn the fate of the world around". As in present-tense. - When Venti speaks about her he's saying she's a talented performer, and that he found it natural that she saved Fontaine, but he continued with "he wouldn't be surprised if she would go on to save the entire world", indicating she'll do this in the future. - Furina often talked about her "servants" by name throughout the story, before she got her vision, yet it is only now with her vision that she's enabled to call upon them? - In Furina's voicelines she's stating "MY story has come to an end, and now begin OUR story". A strange way to view it if you were just released from playing someone else's life for 500 years... Unless... - In Furina's voicelines she states: "People love talking about the future, as if they are willing to sacrifice everything for an uncertain tomorrow. I don't agree with their way of thinking..." which is a strange statement as her whole 500 years conviction is supposedly about this... Unless she's still in complete control. - In Furina's voiceline about food, she puts a lot of important upon dessert and call them an opera with hidden meaning. If you then look up her special dish "Pour la Justice" it once again seem to conflate her own story with that of Fucalor, despite Fucalor seemingly being "dead". This again seem to draw parallels to how Nahida would tell herself about alterations made in the Irminsul about the future and "forbidden knowledge". Furina seem to be the continuation of Fucalor, rather than a different person. - In Furina's voiceline about dying she says "Am I... free?" and "I still... couldn't do it..." and "don't look at me... like that..." all indicating that she's still chained to playing a role and have a bigger agenda than the current ending to her story quest and main quest would indicate. - The final scenes of execution happened inside Furina's consciousness, as the Traveler also witnessed it. This was not an alternative dimension where simply Neuvillete and Fucalor were speaking, even if she wanted him to believe that. She had to make the heavenly principles believe she's died as well, fooling her temporarily alternative consciousness all while making Neuvillete play his part willingly. - With "the Hydro Archon executed", Fucalor can operate outside the priciples of the heaven's watchful eye, and Furina is her incognito avatar. - We've already seen this "blending of 2 people's lives" before, in Scaramouche's + Wanderer's story. All in all I don't think we've seen the last of her in the main story to come. It seems they've grander plans for her down the line.
I'm so glad she got her vision... The ending of archon quest, where we don't even check on her and if she's all right, was kinda dull ;-; It really felt like she lost absolutely everything, and even us, who she considered her only friends, forgot about her >_< I'm glad the story quest filled that hole. But I still think we should've talked to her at the end of the archon quest.
Oh dear, dont get me wrong but what neuvilette and The traveller did to get the truth out of her is literally too much... Leaving her alone after all that was really the right choice
@@lypexiii8018 We owed to go check up on her to see if shes alright. She was a victim the entire time. The entire 500 years she knew nothing and was forced to pretend. Least we can owe her is a hug at the end and tell her we can go eat cake.
Seeing the water flowing scene, I'm thinking that Mihoyo is probably slowing moving towards from "moving comics" to actual "animation" One day, maybe the end of the Archon Quest, we can see the actual "Genshin anime" made not by Ufotable, but Mihoyo
I'm happy she can live as ordinary human now and will no longer act as the hydro archon. As Neuvillete said she had the emotions and mind of a human and its crazy how she held that in for 500 years. I'm glad the hydro archon seat is no more.

I was doing so well till this cutscene and then I just broke and cried cuz of how beautiful and powerful it was. Furina is 100% my new favorite character and imo the best written character in Genshin so far. At the very least the Best written archon
Theres so much to say about this story quest… The way we get to finally see the real side of furina, and we also see the freaking 3rd ship bait hoyo has gave us when aether grabs her hand. This story is beautiful with all the story we get about reuniting a troupe for their last show. Not to mention the scene where we get to see furina singing, and we see the water rush through the city after she helps everyone, they give me chills. not to mention the beautiful scene where we see her wishes come true in the form of a hydro vision. that gives me chills too. And why do i always feel like in real life someone would run up and steal the vision. thats the end of my little one sided chat, have a nice adventure, scroller!
I like this quest because it sort of summits how the people of Tevyat view visions. I think them having a fairy tale where the main character gets a vision at the end works so well in the estabilshed world. Idk it makes the world feel a lot more real and lived in to me. Like of course the heroine would get a vision in the end to illustrate her determination, that's such an obvious trope for them to have in-world.
So this confirms that visions indeed come from Celestia and that a descender resides in Celestia because they like the traveler and the third decender can manipulate all elements and give them out as physical objects. ????

Can anyone fill out what is requirements for every elements? Pyro: fatherless?? Anemo: brotherless??? Hydro: Sacrifices? Electro: Strong will??? Geo: unbreakable will. Dendro: curiosity??
From what i could summise. Pyro, extraverted and energetic. Diluc was this when he got his Anemo, moving on from a bad past and suffering, accepting it and moving on as the wind too doesnt stop because of a wall, it keeps going even if it needs to go around or through Cryo, focussed on your role Dendro, knowing alot about specific things Geo, passion, focussing on your passions and not straying away from it, could also be principles and followibg them strictly Electro seems to be defiance, going against the flowvand often being confrontational
The element you get doesn’t represent your personality, but your Ambitions. Your heart’s deepest wish. *Let me explain:* Anemo is rewarded to those that yearn for freedom. Xiao wishes to be freed from his karmic binds, and Scaramouche wished to be freed from his past. Geo is conviction, a strength of unbreakable will, to stay true to one goal and never falter. Albedo wishes to find his master, and Noelle to be a knight. Electro (No idea about this one but i’ll guess,) is a desire to stay with fleeting moments. Fischl chases an eternal dream that does not really exist. Dendro is an ambition to learn, or for wisdom and to seek verity and truth. Nahida, Tighnari and Alhaitham are all scholarly who search for truth. Kaveh, despite not being a scholar also searches the truth about his family. Hydro is a search for justice. Kokomi believes in Justice, and freeing her people from the Shogun’s will, and one of Xingqiu’s voicelines is literally “For Justice!” Pyro is a search for action, for burning passion and thriving in conflict. (We arent 100% sure) Most pyro characters are overexcited, overstimulated and always active. Cryo is the search for Love. Most cryo characters are anti-social or disconnected with the world. Like Ganyu, and Shenhe, and Freminet, all shy and don’t fit in. But their desire is to be loved and feel loved, and to belong somewhere.
If any character in this world deserved to have a vision, It would be furina. I never thought her story would be this depressing overall, but at least I managed to summon her for that sweet water walking ability! And to give her hugs.
From the point where she got the vision I was like "DID SHE JUST GET A VISION ON-SCREEN WITHOUT CUTTING OUT THE VERY PART OF RECEIVING A VISION LIKE WITH THE ARANARA ONE?
Furina: I hope they don't recognize me Me: Woman, you are wearing a royal blue suit and top hat, and have heterochromic eyes and white hair. I'm sure they'll think you're one of the eight dozen other such ladies in the Court of Fontaine for sure.
The final scene of her singing is very beautiful. I do want to say, some lines of Paimon during Furina's story quest are, in my opinion, rather inconsiderate. I also feel that the traveller is somewhat distant to Furina, even though the traveller is probably the person who knows Furina the most in the story (with the play of Furina's "inner-world" in the archon quest), so I have doubts about whether traveller can really count as a true friend of Furina. On the other hand, Furina was indeed, on the surface, an "antagonist" to the traveller almost until the very end of the archon quest, so the traveller and Paimon being somewhat inconsiderate at the start of Furina's quest is understandable.

Spoiler :
She was an oceanid who was made into human by previous archon and then she gave the archon authority to her...she then split her divine self from her "human self" because as an oceanid she wanted to live like an ordinary person...

She receiving her vision is the most beautifullllllll moment ive seen in this game after all her suffering and endurance during 500 years... she deserved it omg... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It’s really suffering
The fact that Neuvillette was likely watching in the audience and was probably the one who gave her the vision is so sweet
Fun fact. Archons or elemental dragon sovereign cannot grant vision. They can't decide what vision goes to whom. This was confirmed by Venti in one of his lines during an event quest. It appears to the receipient when the "heavens" deemed them worthy. This heaven doesn't say which one, probably Celestia
Neuvillette's character story confirms that it is indeed him who gave out the vision
Fontaine's story is the best one so far in my opinion.
Hopefully Furina can live happily now, free from her role.

The French song is actually performed by a french singer, Cecilia Cara.

Darling, my sweet Furina. There's no way people wouldn't recognize you. Your clothes just changed color, not your whole appearance 🥺
Also Celestia technically doesn't have control over the Hydro element anymore now that Focalor gave back that power to Neuvillette sooooo
She was cursed, i Guess the curse not only gave her long life

Its like even shes a human she will be immortal? “I shall be here until the end and leave thrm”
@@tristanweiss722 nah, check his vision story

There's a new story entry on Neuv profile that basically says that now he can give hydro visions, so we can say that he gave Furina an special vision because she can use Pneuma an Ousia
Finally the goddess of Fontaine is herself again...genius,to basically trick celestia and destroy the concept of a hydro Archon....furina hands down is the most impressive god till now
(P. S to people who still are confused, she is a god in the same sense as Raiden and Zongli are after becoming "human"... She is both a human and a god, that was the whole point of everything)
If you want talk about an archon Focarlor. Furina is her human name
No more hydro archon, even when peoples need forcalor to show up, she won't cause she out of existance, even when they ask for a new hydro archon the seat is fully delet there will never be a new hydro archon, cause all the power came back to where it belong, that is a much better feats than retired like zhongli and don't give a shi* about gnosis like Ei
Second zhongli isn't a human he still consider an adapti cause he still lowkey a god, the seat of the 'six' still there the only thing he does is retired from being a ruler, morax still there he never really died, if liyue come to the end only Morax can safe he will show up and the celestia know it.
It about being a god is suffering,
@@Riimaachan And she isn't ruled fountain anymore.
Just finished Furina’s Story quest! It was really nice and hope to see maybe part 2 to a story for her.
Ses une superbe de chanson, elle a d’apporter des larmes à mais yeux
So I have a question is furina becomes a human means she is no longer immortal and completelly human or it just means that she is free from playing the role of focalor but still immortal?
Not specified, and irrelevant in the story regardless
she no longer has focalor preventing her from aging; once focalor got unalived, furina's biological clock has now begun. she is no longer immortal.
@@BloodyHowl69I see that makes sense I thought she was gonna be like zhongli
Focalors died so her immortality curse is lifted, meaning she can now age and also be killed or injured as any ordinary person would.
@@Peachy_Love627He's still an adeptus so he's likely immortal to begin with
bro did i just spoil myself with this
I theoricraft that Furina/Fucalor got more powers now than before, as she has been released from previous constraints.
It seems they've grander plans for her down the line.
and the way she change alignment its like she can change to focalor and furina, like focalor actually still alive :v

Seeing the water flowing scene, I'm thinking that Mihoyo is probably slowing moving towards from "moving comics" to actual "animation"
One day, maybe the end of the Archon Quest, we can see the actual "Genshin anime" made not by Ufotable, but Mihoyo
I'm happy she can live as ordinary human now and will no longer act as the hydro archon. As Neuvillete said she had the emotions and mind of a human and its crazy how she held that in for 500 years. I'm glad the hydro archon seat is no more.

Anemo is rewarded to those that yearn for freedom.
Kokomi believes in Justice, and freeing her people from the Shogun’s will, and one of Xingqiu’s voicelines is literally “For Justice!”
Pyro is a search for action, for burning passion and thriving in conflict. (We arent 100% sure) Most pyro characters are overexcited, overstimulated and always active.

Her expecting no one to recognize her reminds me of that YuGiOh meme that says "spot the main character" lol
If any character in this world deserved to have a vision, It would be furina.
I never thought her story would be this depressing overall, but at least I managed to summon her for that sweet water walking ability!
And to give her hugs.
im crying babe i love u furina
I'm a French genshin player, and hearing Furina sing in French with the default Japanese voices was a joy for my ears.
why is the game going so fast i feel like we entered fontaine a month ago
From the point where she got the vision I was like "DID SHE JUST GET A VISION ON-SCREEN WITHOUT CUTTING OUT THE VERY PART OF RECEIVING A VISION LIKE WITH THE ARANARA ONE?
When she started sing….*drop dead💀
We need an event where all of tevat's performers come to meet
Furina
Yun Jin

Barbara
Furina: I hope they don't recognize me
Me: Woman, you are wearing a royal blue suit and top hat, and have heterochromic eyes and white hair.
I want the full version of this song asap ::""
