Yeah, not just dream big.Coz believe me stradic 5000 can get you really big memories. It had won 🏆 me epic fights against 16-22kg yellow fin tuna...a lot of time with my stradic 6000+saltiga GX 160g max with 20lb line (but I used 40lb braid)
Yeah, I have a couple 5000s and a could 6000s. They are my bigger reels for sure. I run 4000s mostly for bigger salmon up here in Alaska. I've been wanting to get into shore fishing for halibut lately but haven't. That's what my bigger reals are for. 😂
That was a nice tuna . I wish your gopros hadn't went down on you. The mahi was really cool. The colors on them are hot! Enjoyed the vid as always. I'm looking forward for the next trip! You are awesome for sharing your life with us. Take care and stay safe my friend!
Why are some dolphins blue, while other ones are more green. Is it where you caught him in the world? Like the temperature of the water, or some other variable I've always wondered that and you seem like a pretty knowledgeable guy
It's important to use a set up that you can release him with a good.so he has a better chance of surviving.. I've done it plenty of times but the fact remains
I caught a 42 pound mahi on a 2500 size real was 15 pound test when I was playing around with snappers in Florida it took me an hour and a half to get it in because it about spoiled me four times
@@powell9737 I'm not one to troll, but i have to call BS on this one. Penn Slammer III reels start out at 3500 and go up. There is no such thing as a Penn Slammer III 2500 (verified on pennfishing.com).
Nope! Back when I was in Japan I released around 75% of the fish I caught unless my freezer was completely empty. I can’t say that’s true for the other anglers on the boat though.
I really like this type of fishing using a small reel for big fish the best
Dane Donton agree
michael wilson yes sir
What rod did you pair with the 5000
Reel screams, rod bends, you work. Life's good.
I love the singing drag off stradic 5000 when you fight with tuna. That’s a super big size off YFT for 5000 size reel
I know mahi-mahi can change colors but damn. I never seen a blue one before. They’re beautiful.
Nice video mate, heading out this week for some mahi, wish me luck :) !
well how’d it go
@@nashbarber4085 Good man, check it out on my chan!

You caught a really big, cool fish.
What model stradic is that? I have several older ones but need a couple newer ones to pair up with a few rods
If 5000 is light .... man I need to step up my game already HAHAH
It’s light for tuna...
@@spencerb891 exactly lol

How heavy braided line do you have on your stradic?
I have suffix 832 30lb braid on mine it's 4000 size
@@markdean6656 same I have it on my 3000 and 5000 and then I have suffix 832 20lb on my 2500
I had that problem a couple times until I changed to a Sandisk Extreme video card. No problems since.
Hi Ryan, that’s great, do you remember what size of braid and leader did you used. Chers Ladislav
Super sick freeze GoPro... Maaaan I wanted to see that fight so baad!!!! Got my Stradic 5000 sitting next to me. Dreaming big.... Cheers Ryan!

Caught a 30lbs bft on the colt sniper with this reel on trevala rod. Burned the freaking drag, but landed the fish. It was fun but 1 shot though.
Big fish small reel .... LOVE IT !
Dolphin, dolphin, dolphin. dolphin, dolphin. Oh! Yes! There it is! The Yellowfin!
I haven’t heard the word tiny in front of a 5000 series in a while
Yeah I live in Minnesota, and I just bought a Sahara 5000 as my heavy duty spinning reel! Different game than the salt, that's for sure.

Amazing place and fish mate. I didn't have a lot of luck in Okinawa Japan myself, but I might come back this year to give it another try 💪 🎣

The Stradic have been my go to reels the last several months. They are a beast! I have 3 and use them constantly.

what is the differnece between STradic and Saragosa??
Braid leader how many?
Should be noted it’s a stradic fk which is like the brother to the stradic sw
How reel perform now? Did you upgrade to FL? Greetings from Egypt

Hey Ryan, great video what is your light rod you are using/ used for that Yellowfin?
I think it's a saltiga 200g max 20lb GX rod.
Little man (5000)did it..another Goliath event happened in real life 😳.
How much is that charter

Cool men 💪
caught a 60lb last month, but definitely not on a spinning reel. back breakers.
how many meters of 20 lb pounds into in spool stradick 4000 fk ? please
I’m using a 5000 in this video and I fit about 300m on it. A 4000 fits around 230-250m
@@RyanMorie thanks man, more stadic action videos pls

Look like you're gonna need some new carbontex drag washers to replace those burnt factory washers on your stradic 5000.
Damn! Man! I just bought the Shimano stradic FL 4000! Just impressed what with the reel can do!
What pe line or test lb are you putting in the 4000 FL?
@@mayonmayontoo I put on suffix 832 braid 30lb sea camo color. The 4000 will hold about 185 to 200 yard's of it.
Does it still cast fairly far considering it has a 30lb braid? I think 30lb is the sweet spot
@@mayonmayontoo it casts pretty awesome, and depending on the rod I can really sling it. The new longer spool makes a difference too.
